I stayed at the hotel for over two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The hotel's location is fantastic, situated close to the old town and tourist area, with convenient access to shops such as 7/11, Lotus, and C Market. Despite being in the midst of these amenities, the place maintains a remarkably calm and quiet atmosphere. The room I stayed in was not only spacious but also exceptionally clean, and the bed provided was incredibly comfortable. The internet service was reliable, ensuring I had a smooth and efficient connection throughout my stay. Additionally, the hotel offers laundry services, but I discovered a 24/7 self-service laundry just two minutes away, providing added convenience. A notable feature of the hotel is the closed yard where guests can securely store rented bicycles or scooters. The yard is locked at night, and guests are provided with a key, offering a sense of privacy and security. The hostess of the hotel is truly exceptional. Her friendliness and genuine care for guests made my stay even more enjoyable, and she surprised me with thoughtful gestures. Adding to the charm of the place, there is a large yet adorable and well-behaved dog residing in the yard.

The area we stayed in was quiet and a nice walk to get to the night markets for food or shopping. We hired a moped and were able to park it up inside the grounds. Lovely open outdoor space downstairs. Laundry and ironing services if required but lots of local self service laundromat nearby. The owner was lovely and very helpful. We were given a large apartment upon arrival but changed to a smaller one as it was more suited to a family. Both rooms were very lovely and clean and everyday we had fresh towels and fresh bottled water. No lift but only 3 floors so no problem getting to our room

The deluxe room which we've booked was very spacious, and we've also enjoyed the balcony very much. Everything was very clean, and very comfortable. The location was great - very peaceful, 10 mins walk from the old city, and not extremely touristy, which we enjoyed. 5 mins walk to 7-11 and plenty of places to eat nearby. We also really liked the courtyard, a very nice place to relax in for a bit after a full day of visiting - lots of plants and the friendly dog :) Also, our host was very helpful and nice, helping us with tips on where to go for the festival, where to eat, how to do laundry, etc

All of the staff were exceptionally friendly, we did have a few problems with our room, but they sorted them straight away. Location is good, not far from bottom of old town, and about 30 mins to Chinatown on foot. Laundry just around corner, and a 7-11 about 10 mins.

Bed wasn’t particularly comfortable and no comfy chairs to sit on in room, even patio chairs weren’t comfortable . No lift if you’re unable to do stairs.

I like the security there. They have a main metal gate, access card, and room lock. It is extremely safe staying there. Furthermore, the owner, Apple, recommended me to stay at Room 225 as I told her before that I was sensitive to noise. The room was a very, very quiet room and i almost could not hear any traffic noise. When I was out and back in the room, I always found the owner / the maid cleaning my room. They replaced the bed sheet for me every 2 days, provided me 2 glasses of water daily, and cleaned the floor every day. I really appreciated what the owner provided a spotless and clean environment to me. The owner has a dog called Mak Yung, and I always fed him with lamb sticks. In gist, the services and environment there was extremely great. If you want to find a cheap, clean, safe, and quiet place to stay, Laph Kham House is your FIRST choice. I will definitely come back.

Quiet neighborhood and very quiet property. Immaculately cleaned and well maintained. Water and coffee, tea kettle in room. Host was friendly and welcoming and personally showed the room and how to use everything and was helpful for suggestions on necessary tasks about the city. Location close enough to the city center without all the noise and traffic.

The accommodation is exceptionally clean and tidy. The room is cleaned daily, and the towel and sheets are changed daily which is very pleasant. There is a large but very sweet dog at the courtyard. The garden is beautiful. The whole place feels very homey, peaceful and pleasant. It is very quiet, unlike many other places in Chiang Mai especially those near the old town. WiFi speed is good.

It is a bit far from the centre ie the old town, but very nice and quiet.

The location was great and the owner/staff are very friendly and accommodating also funnily the dog has a split personality one minute your best mate and then the next thinks your an intruder 😂

The bed was hard and the shower was poor but we still managed to wash and sleep 😊

Our host was absolutely lovely (and so was her sweet dog who greeted us and came for a cuddle). The room was spacious and very clean, has all the facilities needed. Close to local attractions, about 10 - 15mins walk, but a few very nice little restaurants round the corner too.

The beds were a little bit hard (although this seems to be the norm in thailand) and the shower was close to the toilet so everything got a bit wet when showering but this wasn't a big problem

Laph Kham House is a hidden gem that truly exceeded my expectations. This was my fourth trip to Chiang Mai, and when I return again I know exactly where I will be staying. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bathrooms are large and modern, and the shower is strong with plenty of hot water. The location is ideal, just a short walk from the old city but still tucked away in a quiet and peaceful area. Apon, the manager, is very friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. Laph Kham House can feel more like a homestay than a hotel, but not in an obtrusive way.
