My English name is Haien. I come from a central city in China. This is my final journey. On October 28, 2024, a Chinese doctor gave me a medically terminal verdict. This is my fourth visit to Thailand. In 2014, 2016, 2019, and 2024, I have always enjoyed the environment in Thailand, the pace of life, and the relaxation of the Thai people. So, I decided to come to Thailand again in the remaining time of my life to see this city that I deeply love. Checking in at Suneta is the beginning of my final journey in Thailand. Suneta has a high rating on Booking.com. First of all, Suneta sounds like its Chinese translation. It is truly living in the forest. Suneta has four floors in total. It is a beautiful building that combines industrial and forest styles. The first floor is the front desk reception area, a large public space, and a restaurant. It is standard to wait until 14:00 in the afternoon to check in. If you arrive earlier, you can store your luggage. Suneta is very close to Thapae Gate; just a 5-minute walk if you walk fast, and 7 minutes if you walk slowly. The staff at the front desk are very enthusiastic and speak great English. They will explain everything to you, such as check-out time, breakfast hours, and the entertainment facilities in the hostel. There are various table games on the first floor, which is a great place to chat and make friends. After checking in, you will receive your room card and key. No deposit is required here. The second to fourth floors are all accommodation areas. There is no elevator here, so it might be inconvenient if you are carrying a suitcase like I was. The stairs are wide and large, but there are handrails only on the left side, not on the right side, so you need to be careful. I booked an 8-bed room on the 3rd floor. The 8-bed room is mixed with men and women. You need to take off your shoes and place them at the door when entering the room. There is a window in the 8-bed room with excellent ventilation.

Comfy and very convenient hostel. Bunks beds are private with the curtains and nice. The location is centered and close to touristic places. Staff was always friendly and ready to help. Breakfast is tasty, considering the price. Highly recommended for solo travelers or groups.

This is silly. lol Just be careful not to hit your head if you have the top bunk, as mine was right under a small column that sticks out from the upper wall. Ha ha.

Staff were very helpful throughout my stay. It’s in a great location for exploring the old city. Rooms were comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was quite good.

Thailand is a humid country so there is some mould in the bathrooms on the upper floors, take some bathroom-sandals. Sometimes there were a lot of flies in the bathrooms too if the lights were left on but not the property’s fault

Location location just outside congested old town. Near Thapae. Ensuite double room with balcony. Breakfast included Eggs salad n toast. Coffee. Bought my own smoked ham. Great staff. Some volunteers. The big cat that rules the lobby when not sleeping all day. Storage room for our folding bicycles. Android TV. Still a thing in Thailand.

Stairs. 5 floors. Good exercise! Note. Rustic industrial interior. No banisters. Not for faint hearted.

No-frills hostel but quite impressive how they run the business efficiently. Small room but has a functional window where outside air can flow in. It's a real value-for-money thing and I will stay again.

Toilet is not fully enclosed and mixed for all genders. Maybe a little problem for someone desires complete privacy.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room is clean and bed is comfortable to sleep. I love breakfast because it’s delicious. The location is superb and safe to walk around. I will back to there again when I visit Chiangmai Mai.

Maybe upgrade the toilet because it’s stuck sometimes. Add more shower gel and shampoo. Make Sigurd the toilets are clean. Overall, I am still satisfied with this hostel.

The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help with anything I needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making my stay very pleasant. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of options to start the day, and the location was excellent, close to key attractions and great dining spots.

The staff is really accomodating. Knows a lot and can arrange everything for you, if you like. Breakfast is really nice and the cats are amazing. Independent of the time of day you allways walk into a chill and welcoming vibe.

I prefer curtains in a dorm, but that is just a preference.

I booked this private room so that I could relax and work online and it absolutely suited me for that. It was very comfortable. The breakfast was gorgeous and the hostel had a really chilled out vibe and the staff were great.

Unfortunately i did find (just one) bedbug. I've experienced bed bugs before and I checked the whole bed and didn't find evidence of any others so I assume this one must have come in with a previous traveler, the hostel was very clean and well kept, and they moved me into another room immediately. I definitely think that this was a one off occasion.

It was overall good. The rooms were comfortable and the service was excellent. The breakfast was great and offered a wide variety of foods.

the bathroom and shower were not aesthetically pleasing. It is not clear if this is a special design style or just an outdated condition, but they did not give a good feeling.
