A great hotel, perfect for visiting Chiang Mai: there is a large swimming pool to cool off in (some people are bothered by the fact that people from the street can see into the pool area, but then please book a hotel room on the 40th floor of a concrete tower). The rooms with city views are small and simple, but have everything you need, even a small desk made of dark tropical wood. Everything is covered with dark tropical wood floors, which gives the whole hotel a very special charm. Beautiful restaurant area with stunning tropical solid wood furniture. The cuisine is excellent, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back again.

The stupid, arrogant, and conceited reviews of other visitors who complain about loose faucets, showers without shower curtains, or squeaky beds and treat the local staff with arrogance and a neo-colonial attitude. Tip: just stay away, then serious visitors who are interested in Thai culture will have more space and opportunities, and you won't constantly annoy the always extremely friendly Thai people!

Breakfast is wonderful! We got to order from the menu. They gave us one free meal and one free non alcoholic drink any time of day for each person for everyday we stayed there. The pool was really nice and in the sunshine but it was cold water. We were in a deluxe twin room which was on the street and so there was Street noise. The shower was a little funky, adjusting the temperature. The staff was very kind and accommodating. They gave us two free bottles of water every day. It's very close to the Taipei gate, about 6 minutes to walk to get into the old city

A gem of a place just 5 minutes walk from the old city walls. Full of charm and with very friendly staff. Some parts of the villa seemed to be from the original Thai villa with teak floors and an upstairs covered balcony with open sides. Although the rooms are fairly compact, they are all decorated differently and are full of character with Thai furniture and artwork. Lots of little corners to relax in and a small but refreshing pool to cool off in. The breakfasts were amazing, and they served food throughout the day at reasonable prices. If you want to stay somewhere with a bit of character rather than a mundane hotel this is the place for you. Woukd definitely stay there again if we go back to Chiang Mai.

There was very little storage space for clothes... maybe some drawers could be slotted on under the bed..

The breakfasts here were generous, and the drinks delicious!! We made great use of the pool, which was always clean and seemed to be well maintained. A little oasis in Chiang Mai!

The A/C appeared to be undersized for the room; we asked for help with setting it up as the A/C unit was not able to maintain temperature, but we were brushed off by the staff, and told that everything "appeared ok". Overall we just used the pool more during the heat of the day.

First of all the location is perfect! Very close to the old city, several 7/11’s and a laundromat as well. The accommodation was very comfortable, had a beautiful pool and the food was A++, so delicious, Pong who works in the kitchen is a great chef. The staff here were the best part, especially Euro and Amber made my stay here comfortable and treated me like family. :))

Everything was good. We arrive a bit late (10pm) due to our delayed flight. I informed them and they waited for our arrival with no problem. We booked a standard room for 2person. It was a bit small, but very clean and nice. The pool in front of the hotel is just amazing. And the cherry on the top was the excellent breakfast. It was a huge portion and a lot of option to choose from.

It was difficult to charge our phone as the charger was falling off from the plug.

We loved the location. Close to Old Town and China Town. The street is quite and the pool makes it relaxing. The room was clean and quite. Friendly staff. We loved that there was an all day breakfast option :) we took advantage of that after a day trip. The food was nicely preped and tasty the drinks too. If feels cozy and welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

Would've liked an option for sunbathing like a sunbed or a hammock.

A quirky little hotel with no obvious reception except the bar/restaurant area by the pool. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and we immediately felt we were part of the place. The restaurant provided a good range of dishes, all beautifully cooked and presented, and the complementary breakfasts would set anyone up for the day. they were delicious. As we were leaving at 6am they provided us with cold packed breakfasts to take on our trip.

We liked all day breakfast. Nice room for three, but we were only two. Nice Netflix for late evening, after dinner in nightmarket. Good location

We din't like low shower room door, I had to put pillow to floor, to remember not to hit my head again. Water flow in shower - hot or cold. Highest place on shower floor was drain!

I have only nice things to say about my stay at Mesa Garden Villa. The rooms are nice, the staff is very helpful and attentive and the breakfasts are delicious. Location is also amazing, just a short walk away from the old town. I definitely recommend this place!
