I think the price point for this place is spot on. The pool is great, it was always clean and there are plenty of places to lay out. The location was excellent! Plenty of restaurants and shops around, 5 min from a market (which I bought affordable dinner/dessert/smoothies from every night), but was still quiet and felt safe. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself was very basic, and not the nicest, but it was spacious. The bathroom served its purpose and even had hot water (you just have to give it a minute).

As I said, price point is correct. The rooms, furniture, bedding, etc. are all on their last legs. There were a bunch of crawlies on the walls and the bathroom sink looked dangerously close to falling. But all in all, you are paying less because of these things. It didn't feel dirty to me, so if you're ok with staying somewhere basic and rundown, then I think this accom is a great place to stay.

Stuff is very nice and kind. Location is beautiful but hard to get a taxi.

I loved our stay here. My boyfriend and I got a private room with a private bathroom, and it was pretty clean. Great location and pool is definitely a plus! The gave us towels and soap which was a nice touch compared to other hostels/guest houses.

It's an affordable hotel with a pool in the old town with an excellent location and the such. It's possible to get rooms less than 300 in local currency, enjoy some Sun and have some walk in the old town. Staff is friendly.

It was in the old town of Chiang Mai, great for roaming the area to look at the temples & museums. It had a pool should one be inclined to take a dip. It is right next to Chiang Mai Breakfast World & Beer Garden restaurant. Taxi’s or Tuk Tuk’s line soi in the morning ready for your transportation need.

Its very old, needs some repair & definitely needs to be power washed. I was not happy that my shower head was not on a floating pipe assembly. Washing long hair bent over at the waist isn’t comfortable. The shower head was literally a foot higher than the faucet of the bathtub. I managed. It would have been nice if the toilet seat was actually attached to the toilet & not just floating on the ceramic bowl. I could only charge my electronics if I was in the room.

I will always stay at this hotel in CM. I actually desire no one gets to not know about it so it's nice and quiet which it usually is . I travel a lot. Rooms with air con can be made.to ideal bases. Rooms without if acclimatized can too. I wanted for nothing and it has a pool. A pool in that heat is rather nice ! If your a traveller go here. Fridge , no TV but superb internet. My rating is probably too low but I don't need the Ritz and if a traveller this is ideal ! I will return !

Best location, on the loveliest street of Chiang mai near the market. All the old town’s famous temples are in walking distance. Loved the pool, which is a big plus in this heat.

It has a bad review, and yes it is an old building with noisy backyard and not everything is perfect, so if you don’t like that, definitely don’t go there! But if you are a relaxed person and you love the old motel vibe, you’ll have big big fun!

Top North Guesthouse is my go to when going to Chiang Mai. I love the pool and the reception lady who always smiles and talks to me. It's good value for money and my bike rental guy is just around the corner too.

It's not the cleanest, but I don't mind. TV never works, but I'm not there to watch it anyways. I wish they'd clean out the bathroom bins a bit more frequently and the shower's weak as.

Great location, great staff. Extremely reasonable price for a en-suite room at a central location with the addition of a swimming pool (which is clean and well maintained). Staff are very friendly and accomodating.

There are some cleanliness issues, though I didn't mind. The place is a little run down.
