Stayed last year thought what a lovely place can’t get better so booked again this year. Lovely rustic typical Thai place smack bang in the middle of all that’s happening, walk to night markets Watts easy. Great pool as well. Will book again :-)

Great location, amenities and breakfast. A lovely relaxing, pool area which feels like a secret escape from the hustle and bustle of Chang Mai after a busy day of sightseeing. Friendly staff except for one person on arrival.

We were looking for a last minute room booking as we were unable to stay at our hotel. We enquired at the reception if a room was available and the receptionist told us nothing was available and wasn’t giving the impression that they were willing to help. We left the hotel and checked availability on booking.com and immediately found a room which we booked and stayed in to enjoy for rest of our holiday. When we returned, the receptionist checked us in and left us feeling confused as to why they couldn’t help us before.

The room was huge, the bed extremely comfortable. The bathroom was lovely and the bath enormous. The pool was fabulous and a great temperature. Plenty of sun loungers & chairs. Really enjoyed the colonial feel to it all. There was a beautiful library with a great selection of books too. It certainly was serene there. The staff were kind & courteous. Great location

I was a bit disappointed that there were no bicycles at the hotel as I had chosen this hotel because in the list of activities it had stated bicycles. However I still really enjoyed this hotel & would definitely return

We have stayed at the Bodhi Serene before and it continues to tick many boxes for us. The peaceful spaces and gardens in the hotel are lovely after some hot and dusty sight seeing. The location in the old town is great, the swimming pool is a great place to chill by for an hour or two. Breakfast is great too, the same every day but plenty of variety to suit everyone.

Nothing to dislike, but if there’s one thing that could just notch up the warmth of the place it would be a slightly more welcoming response from reception area staff.

We had 2 rooms next to each other on request. The rooms were very spacious and clean and quiet. Bathrooms were also large. Staff were all lovely and helpful. It was a very relaxing place. Pool and bar area upstairs and lounge area, so plenty of places to sit and read or chill out. It was on a quieter road than some of the very busy main roads in old Chiang Mai, but still a great location and central to all the places easy to walk to. The pool was a much welcomed addition which not many hotels in Chinag Mai have. The central garden and pond was very beautiful too with water lilies and frangipani trees. A real little oasis after a long day out and about.

There would be only one thing to add which is the breakfast choice, is not huge, much perfectly fine. Perhaps to offer a choice of herbal teas. Otherwise all good.

The hotel is well located in a nice part of the city and its easy to get around. When we checked in we were upgraded to a suite which was fantastic, the room was lovely and we extended our stay as a result. The pool area is nice too.

Our room was a fair walk from the front of the hotel and was up several stairs, however being tucked away was good as the noise levels were quite. The pool area is small and gets busy, and there arent may chairs there.

Great location within the old town of Chiang Mai. The pool has a great size. The rooms are big and come with a very large round bathtub which can fit two. Tours and activities can be organized directly at the hotel which worked perfectly for us.

You can see that the hotel isn't the newest and some furniture (especially the sunbeds) had seen better days. Lucky, we booked without the breakfast since when we passed by the breakfast buffet it looked very simple and not worth the money.

Love the pool, big and open. Pool furniture could benefit from totally new and more functional stretchers, chairs and sun umbrellas. The very attractive but totally under-utilised bar area next to the pool could benefit from some sort of promotion: Happy Hour, music, afternoon tea etc.

Good location, great pool bar, comfortable bed, spacious and very clean one bedroom suite.

The electronic door lock to our room didn’t open consistently. When we notified staff, they checked and confirmed it was not working properly. Unfortunately, they advised they did not have a spare lock and therefore could not repair it.Their solution was for us to repeated try our room card until we eventually gained access. At times it took 3 attempts and at other times it took 8-10 attempts.

It’s beautiful! For someone like me who loves nature, waking up with birds chirping and sleeping with the sound of crickets this place is amazing. It’s conveniently located. Close to many restaurants, walking distance to temples, walking distance to Sunday night market… and on top of that all the staff is really nice. Booked my return to the airport with them for 180 thb. AC worked perfect, they give umbrellas for rainy season. They have two pools. Never heard my neighbors, very quiet.

I liked everything
