Had a very pleasant stay at Chada house. The facilities were new and the place was very clean. The room had a well functioning AC system, fast WIFI, good temperatures in the shower and back out curtains. The location was more than ideal as right in the old town, it felt super safe and it made the whole experience as a solo female traveller a bliss. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Recommend for sure!

Not really a downside but it’s not a social hostel, so really depends on what you’re looking for. I would suggest offering coffee and tea to come with the kettle :)

Great place with wonderful staff in a good location. Being able to play with the owner's dogs made it feel like home (but if you do not like dogs, there is nothing to worry about if they are outside when someone is coming or going the dogs are put inside). The owner is extremely helpful if you have questions about the area or need help with anything, but very nice to talk to in general as well. I stayed for a month and I was very comfortable. The room was more than I needed with the most comfortable bed I slept on in while in Thailand. It was also nice to have the shower separated from the rest of the bathroom like I had seen uring my first month in southern Thailand. I was not ready to leave, but my visa required me to. I look forward to staying at Chada House again the next time I am in Chiang Mai.

Best guesthouse that I’ve been in at Chiang mai, by far, super clean and great facilities, lovely crew and cute dogs. Very quiet street that give a less touristy experience of the old city.

Would love to see a refill filtered water station, you get everyday two 600 mil bottles from the crew but I found myself buying water for the room from 7-11

Spacious and cosy room with a desk and a comfortable big bed. Super clean and modern. They tidy the rooms up, with a change of towels and bin bags, almost every day of your stay. The owner is wonderful and the staff are polite and nice as well. The area is quiet and some rooms have tablets and chairs outside. Great location. I liked it so much that I went back after another accommodation and the owner was kind enough to charge me less than booking would do for the AC room! 💯 recommended :)

Things related to other guests (such as being loud on their phones outside of their rooms in the middle of the night).

Fab location 5 mins from Tha Phae Gate with lots of dining and cafe options in the immediate vicinity. Very quiet at night, secure and comfortable. On site security overnight. I was with a good quality racing bike which I left outside unlocked quite a few times without any issue. Very friendly and helpful staff and always someone around if you needed anything. Rooms have a kettle and cups so you can make a hot drink if desired. Nearest food available literally 10 metres from the property.

The cleanliness was exceptional, the nicest staff, great location, strong wifi, cheap laundry services right across the street, I really enjoyed my stay!

My room was a little dark and was missing daylight curtains, walking by the windows you could see everything that's going on in the rooms.

Great location. Clean and modern room and private bathroom. Owners are very kind and allowed late check-in. AC works very well. 2 water bottles & clean towels everyday. 7-11, restaurants, and coffee shops nearby. Hairdryer available if requested. Cleaned room daily. Desk, clothes hanger, water boiler, cups, & fridge in room. Table outside to smoke or chill if you want. Good shower water pressure. Shampoo and body gel provided.

No ventilation in bathroom.

I was able to get great sleep because it was very quiet in a great location centralized close to everything. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The shower was nice and separate from the toilet, unlike some other hotels in the area. The people were very friendly and trustworthy. We extended this day multiple times because we loved it here.

Great little hotel right in the center of Chiang mai but on a quiet lane. Room was small but very clean, towels were changed every day. Staff were very friendly and helped with all our questions. Would definitely stay here again if we were back in Chiang Mai.

Just a couple of recommendations, nothing important. * A full sized mirror would be helpful * The main light in the room could be a bit brighter

Chada House was a surprising option to stay in the old city. The room I picked was basic, yet it was just what I needed. A hot shower, comfortable bed and a great fan. The area is also very quiet while being close to a few amenities, and you're a short ride to all the great stuff in the old city. For the price I paid, all this was excellent in my opinion.

There was nothing I didn't like. I picked a basic setup without air conditioning because I stayed in December...but if you're in Chiang Mai in the summer, it's best to pick a room with air conditioning.
