The hotel is in an excellent location. Very clean, with helpful staff. We loved the security guard at night. We can also really recommend the vegetarian restaurant next door. The hotel provided everything we needed, it’s industrial in style which wasn’t an issue, but just an FYI. The rooms are spacious. The bed is comfortable. The pool area is more of a gesture of a pool but we didn’t mind that as Chiang Mai had so much to offer!

Both rooms clean and decent size. Provided free water, snacks daily. Quiet area. Smaller property than expected, however, managed very professionally with attentive and friendly staff. Loved that free bikes were available for my family of five to use. Great location close to Sunday night market. Enjoyed local cat Bobo that hung out outside the property!

Not really a negative, just an added factor - the property is quarter block down a path vs being directly on a street so it made it harder for Grab, Bolt, and tour pickups to find address. Just communicate with drivers on the apps or WhatsApp and it's fine. The upside is that it was quieter as a result.

Location is excellent. It is just a short walk to the Sunday night market. 7-11 is just down the street... very handy. There's several coffee shops that sell lovely croissants and such within a five minute walk. The Room was large and comfortable. The entire place was spotless. It would have been nice to have a breakfast/food service on the property but everything was close and we had a fridge so no big deal. Felt very safe and especially appreciated the cleanliness. Pool was nice too after a long hot day. If you like to play cards bring your own.

A temporary thing but loud: There is construction on one side of the building. Ask to be on the other side. This was December 2024. If you're an early riser that's fine but we liked to sleep in and the noise would wake us. Management moved up to another room.

Location was quiet and there were plenty of cafes and restaurants around… including vegan and organic. The room was cleaned everyday and fresh water and towels if you so wished. No breakfasts at the hotel but it was so easy to find a variety of good eating places within 1-5 minutes walk ( with children!). Decor was austere, dark with ceiling/walls of concrete with piping on show! It had a warehouse/ factory feel but not unpleasant! The staff very very very helpful! The bird used to tap on the window in room 301 every morning at about 7:30! What a wonderful wake up call!! Great lift and AC

Pool was very chilly!

Excellent location and very clean and modern. Always had drinking water available. Pool was nice and refreshing.

No breakfast or food (but we knew this before). Unfortunate smell from bathroom in the room our kids had on first floor. But they did try and make it better and were extremely helpful. I think it’s probably a common thing with first floor in these over capacity towns which were never meant to have this kind of ‘action’ in their sewers. 2nd floor room was perfect - no odour

Bed super comfy. Room was large and clean. Free banana and soft drink on arrival . Free nuts and crisps in room. Reception super friendly. Laundry was 70 baht a kilo and came back 24 hours later. Location brilliant, very quiet but right in the walls of the city with lots of good eateries around. Try restaurant Hummud.. Turkish veggie restaurant .. book before you go... good value incredibly clean and the food was amazing.

Absolutely nothing

the hotel is in a great location, impeccably clean and safe. the rooms are very nicely furnished, the bed linen and towels smell pleasant. the rooms also have a very nice smell. the bathroom is excellent. cleaned every day. they have free bikes in the hotel. very convenient for wandering around the city. the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel, it is worth the money. you might catch a sale and it will be cheaper.

Location was within walking distance to all sights in the old city. Close enough to action but far enough away that its quiet. The room was clean and large enough for three (3) adults without feeling crowded. The beds were comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. We extended our stay without any issues or having to move rooms. The pool area was very nice although we didn't use for very long.

The location is wonderful near the night market and not far from the East Gate (Thapae Gate). The room was spacious, clean and modern, and we loved being able to use the bikes to get around Chiang Mai! The staff was friendly and the pool area refreshing in the hot afternoon.

Wifi on the 4th floor was often spotty but it seemed to work well elsewhere.

Great location in the old town with lots of restaurants in close proximity. The staff were exceptional, very friendly and helpful, and a credit to the hotel. The hotels bedroom was very nice, the room was done in an industrial style. I was a little concerned the hotel did not do breakfast, I found out most hotels don't in Chiang Mai, but there's some lovely places for breakfast 2 minutes walk away so it wasn't a problem. I enjoyed my stay so much in Chiang Mai, i am planning to go back next year, and i would definitely stay at the Thapae Loft again.
