The hotel is nice, with standard facilities. Bed was very comfortable and they provided ergonomic pillows, which was unusual (in a good way) of this range of hotels. The vibe was peaceful and quiet, and it’s located on a quiet street. Staff were all very nice and helpful.

There was no breakfast, and wifi kept kicking us out so we needed to re-login every day. Sounds from the street can be loud at night (with a trash van). But these are all minor.

The room was big and we had plenty of space. The jacuzzi bath was great and the kids loved it. The location was right in the heart of the old town with really good attractions around it.

The noise through the night was very loud.. sometimes waking up to traffic and workmen at unusual times during the night. Room was a little tired and in need of refurbishment. Some great aspects to it still though so not all bad. The drawers kept coming open as nothing was installed level.. not a big deal I know but it’s the little things.

Location is ideal. Right in the middle on Sunday night market. Close to many shops, bar, food. Room was great. Even if we didn’t request daily cleaning they left a bag at our door with paper rolls and water. Nice little touch with slippers and robe. Free coffee from 7-11am. Kind staff. Little balcony with something to dry your clothes on.

Only downside was the noise. Our room had street view. Earplugs do the job tho. Wifi wasn’t the best. Pool was quite chilly.

You can't get a better location in Chiang Mai. Literally on the Sunday Walking Street Market. We purposely stay here for each trip so we can experience the Sunday market so conveniently. A lot of spas and coffee shops nearby. Quite easy to take a Grab to go to other places. During April, the pool actually has sun. When we came in December for our last trip, the sun didn't reach the pool. The cost for the sizes of their rooms is very good. Very affordable for larger than normal rooms. Their suites are very comfortable.

I think one downside for people is that there's no restaurant at the hotel. They offer complimentary tea and coffee in the morning, but no food. However, this isn't a big problem since there are so many cafes and restaurants in the area. The water pressure/hot water. During our first trip, we had very bad water pressure in the forest shower in our suite. Luckily, there was also a bathtub so used that shower head. We stayed in a smaller suite this time but experienced issues with hot water. It was basically impossible to get the perfect temperature. It was either scalding hot or freezing cold.

Very good base hotel for visiting Chiang Mai, at walking distance to all main sites & restaurants. Although right in the center, it is still quiet and it has a nice pool for cooling down, which is a nice + for a central location! Our ground floor room was simple but comfortable and spacious. There are no services except basic/normal reception service, but you'll find great coffee places for breakfast at a short distance, one is down the street on the corner turning right when you walk out of the hotel, another nice one is Lemon Lemon, left on your way out. (this valid in oct, 2023, you may want to check on Google if it's still there/open).

The housekeeping service was fabulous! I was a solo traveller, and they offered to put the two beds together to make one big one. The room was spacious, clean, and supplies were provided in a bag by the door if I asked them not to make up my room. Everyone was very kind and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location, beside a beautifully decorated square with a cash exchange, restaurants, beauty shops, and gift stores. Having access to TV and Netflix in the room, along with a balcony, was great.

The pool was a little loud! It was lovely and cool to swim in, but the overflow drains would exaggerate the splashing in the pool.

The staff were amazing, the rooms were small but very comfortable and the location is unbeatable for Chiang mai. I would definitely come back.

Unfortunately the pool doesn't get much sun . The rooms that face towards the street will get a bit of noise, keep it in mind if you are noise sensitive like I am ,however the rooms that aren't facing the street are not noisy at all but you won't have a view.

Lovely hotel, great friendly staff. Rooms are nice and clean. Hotel does not have a breakfast but has free coffee and restaurants nearby. This is the 2nd time I stayed at hotel and I loved it. They did a little birthday sign for my partner and the cleaning ladies are so sweet.

It's definitely a bit noisy on the street side but they do give you ear plugs. There are other hotels in quiet place which would be much more expensive. I would still stay there again 😎

Loved the location and the hotel itself. Very cozy, neat and calm. It looks even better than the photographs can show! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. A nice thing is that the hotel is located on the street where the Sunday market is held, so around 5 or 6 pm it’s a great place to walk around and have fun. It gets busy, but in a really nice relaxed Thai-like way. Plus, there’s a great massage salon within a few minutes walk. It’s called Zenza, and I got the best Thai massage there — thorough and powerful.

This was our second time staying at Moon Dragon Hotel and we were not disappointed. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the bed is so comfortable, the shower is hot and the location is perfect! We will definitely be returning again.
