I picked this hotel for the location, and I was able to walk to almost everything I wanted to see. It also has the advantage of being right in the middle of the Sunday evening market, very fun. Rooms are exactly as shown online, with good air conditioning, really nice towels, and comfortable facilities. 7/11 just steps away and many ATMs in the area.

If you are a light sleeper, take a room with no window. The window rooms are on a very busy intersection, even with double windows, there was a LOT of traffic noise - till late at night and starting early in the morning. The rooms with no window are on the back of the hotel, and I’m sure are quieter. Also, the WiFi disconnects every time you put your phone down. I had to manually reconnect over and over, which gets really tiresome over six days! And if you go more than about ten minutes, you have to sign in again. It works fine, but this was the only hotel out of 15 where I had to repeatedly reconnect.

The staff and location were key here. They were so helpful and friendly. I arrived before my room was ready, so they stored my bag while I toured the two Temples next door. Great food in all directions and it is in the center of the Sunday street market. Note that if you book tours that come back anywhere in the afternoon to midnight that you’ll have to walk a few blocks since the surrounding streets are blocked off for the market. Room and bathroom were simple and functional, nothing fancy, a/c worked great. Bed was rock hard, but I like that. It’s an old school hotel straight out of a movie. If you can handle old quirky charm, you’ll love it. The staff felt like family and knew who was coming in and out. I was a solo traveler, so that was comforting. Absolutely Loved my stay here.

The bathroom window didn’t lock very well and was coming loose from the window frame. I wasn’t overly concerned with the monastery in the backyard, but there was an alley. A stick for the window would be helpful. Doors still use an old style key with chain latch. Stairs are different heights and I kept tripping on them cause my brain couldn’t judge the heights. Part of the charm.

The location was absolutely perfect. Right in the middle of sunday walking street in the heart of the city. And while in the middle of all that, it's incredibly quiet in the room compared with outside. The room was very spacious, with a very big and good bed. Everything else was very basic but that was as to be expected for the price and a 3star hotel

There was no noise from outside, but you could hear everything from the hallway and the other rooms, and some of the guests were really loud when they got back to the room at 1am. Next to that some of the things in the room were broken, like the night stand lamp, and the shower gel dispenser.

Fantastic location in the very centre of Chiang Mai old city, on the same street as the Sunday night market. Very comfortable bed, fast reliable wifi. The staff were very accommodating about extending my stay as I didn't want to leave! Everything was clean, air conditioning was cold and very welcome after a day in the heat.

The only negative comment I have is that when I booked the room there was no mention until I was checking in that the room had no windows. I think this is something important to know, I absolutely would not have booked a windowless room. The check in staff found me another room but I did have to pay a nightly upgrade.

The location was perfect for exploring the old city. Our host was super friendly and helpful, we organised our trip to Living Green Elephant Sanctuary through them which was super quick and well organised. The room was spacious and comfortable. Overall we had a great stay at Parasol Inn and would recommend it to anyone staying in Chiang Mai.

Better ventilation in the bathroom.

My booked room had no window which meant no traffic noise or flies or partying by others. The staff are very helpful and speak reasonable English. Very centrally located Hotel.

Water supply to tap is cold and poor. Limited English TV channels.

Parasol Inn is conveniently located and the General Manager and the staff at the tour company located next to the reception area were very helpful. Restaurants and street food areas are all within walking distance and the sunday night market starts in front of the hotel.

The fact that my booking was done at two different occasions (having booked the first evening later due to change in travel plans) required me to move out and check in again the next day in a different room. Additionally, my new room was one level up and having to pull the suitcase up another level by stairs was not convenient.

The location was great with the Sunday night market directly at the door step. The downside of course was the noise until all the vendors packed their stores.

it would be appreciated if at least the windows at the road front could get sound proof windows, understanding that not many changes could be done to the building due to heritage protection.

-amazing location! I stayed here one night from Sunday-Monday for the weekly night market. The hotel is in the center of it all and will have you glad you booked it -room view was nice -the room was exactly what I was looking for, right in the heart of town -good pricing, the room is basic but you get what you pay for (no toiletries or slippers but was not a problem for me) -did my laundry here (1kg for 100 baht for expedited service) and it was available within 3 hours -good aircon levels

-the entrance to the hotel was a bit confusing. More signs and a better check in process would be great. Confusing because it is next to a restaurant and a tour office -blackout curtains would be good to have

Location was perfect. Central of the old city. Must be there over the weekend because the Sunday market happens in front of the hotel. Great experience

Central/ close to everything you want to see/ many stores around/ attached to a delicious restaurant / easy access./ super friendly staff/ tour options available/ reasonable price
