The location was very good. It was about 2 minutes from the bus station so I was able to walk and actually didn’t need a taxi the entire time I stayed in Chiang Rai. Staff spoke English and were helpful and friendly. I saw few other options for private rooms in the city especially without paying 4-5x more.
The biggest issue was the bathrooms. At least on my floor there were multiple sinks out of order and the showers seemed to have mold on the ceiling. I didn’t check the other floors but I’d imagine it’s similar.

This was my first time staying at a hostel, so I was a little apprehensive. But the moment I reached Bed Friends Poshtel, all my worries were gone. The staff were so helpful and nice. Front desk people are pretty fluent in English, so no communication issues. The other staff are also very helpful. The location was great, only a few minutes walk from the old bus station and the night market. The clock tower is also at an walking distance . There are many restaurants nearby, along with a great tea shop (if that's your thing)and many coffee shops, cocktail bars and weed shops. It's perfect for introverts who want an affordable accommodation while keeping their privacy. Everything was neat and clean, and the staff will immediately take care of things if you have any complaints. I highly recommend it, and will definitely stay here when I visit Chiang Rai again.
Can't think of anything. Everything was perfect for me.

The staff were amazing with the smile, the recommendations and the guy even went beyond his job and drove me to the terminal so i dont have to walk with my bags! The place itself is really good, one of the best hostels ive been in facilities wise Plus there is a worker(at night a security guard) almost 24/7 which is really convenient!
Tho the facilities are great, the atmosphere is not that social compared to other hostels(but i still made some friends) There was a bit of pee smell from the man bathroom on the 2 floor for all my 3 days of stay I say this only to improve the place but i do recommend:)

Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. I've seen the team clean the the bathrooms and common areas multiple times a day. They even clean your room. The location is fantastic. The clock tower, night market and bus terminal are only 5-10 minutes walk. There's plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes close by. There a lounge or kitchen where you can work on your laptop or just be more social. The kitchen has fridges, plates, utensils and a microwave, but there's no cooking facilities. The room had both AC and fan. The fan helps to circulate air so the AC doesn't have to be as cold. The shared bathrooms are cleaned regularly. with liquid soap and shampoo provided. The hotel even provides a towel free of charge.
Minor points are: The breakfast is free, but uninspiring. It's basically coffee, toast with jam or margarine. It gets tedious after 4 days. The room has some quirky design choices. There is a table projecting from the wall, but it too narrow to work on except for the smallest of laptops. The electrical point is too far from the bed, although the hotel has provided an extension cord in every room. The only above minor issue is: The mattress is thin and the bed is hard even by Asian standards. I slept okay as I'm used to firmer mattresses.

Great hostel in the dead center of Chiang Rai yet in a quiet street. It was so clean, even the shared bathrooms. Also really nicely decorated and they even have free toasts, coffee and tea in the morning. The staff was really nice, you honestly can't beat that price, especially for the comfort you get. I'd come back there in a heartbeat if ever in Chiang Rai again :)
FYI, I love a good hard bed, but honestly the bed was too hard even for me. It's a really nice bed but it's as hard as a plank of wood. I sleep on my stomach and it actually hurt my breasts sometimes because it was so hard 😂 A few tips to make this place even greater: - a night lamp next to the bed on the little shelf would be really nice, especially because the light is so horribly white - change light bulbs to yellow light, being in that bedroom feels like being in a hospital - find a break system for the doors - they slam and make your own door jolt and a lot of noise. It's a bit annoying when you're trying to sleep

Highest value for money i've got in thailand. I came for two nights and extended my stay. Rooms were clean and well prepared. Staff were 10 out of 10. Location was amazing just in the center and nearby the night bazzar. After exploring chiang rai for 3 days i'd say it might be the best hostel there.
Common areas weren't airconditioned full time, what made them in my opinion not tempting to stay in and interact with people. In addition the room window to the street didn't had a good noise insulation and i could hear the road in the morning.

The Postal was very close to the bus station, a short walk. When I checked in, they were very helpful, and communicated clearly. He surprised me by telling me my room was on the first floor. I put a note with my reservation asking for a lower room as my knee is sore from trekking in Sumatra. I prefer fewer stairs with my pack. They put me closest to the stairs on the first floor of the rooms. that doesn't normally happen! I loved the top floor covered garden lounge and had early morning coffee up there. It was spotless, the staff was all friendly and helpful and it deserves it's high rating!

Staff were very friendly and amazing. Room was lovely and cleaned when required. Separate bathrooms didn't bother us. Great location, some really nice restaurants nearby, and close to the night markets/bus station. Free coffee and toast available in morning. They gave us extra padding on our bed so it was softer which we thought was very nice. Didn't really use the kitchen, working area or rooftop, but they looked nice.
Some mosquitos in our room - not sure how they got there.

The location was great, as I could easily walk around town and to the night market. The beds were comfortable and the staff were welcoming and friendly. They helped me book a day tour of Chiang Rai, which I really enjoyed. There were multiple showers and toilets, which were always clean.
My only small negative would be the privacy curtains around the beds were see-through, as they were more of a netting but overall had a comfortable two night stay.

Private bedroom Lots of common areas to mingle with hostel mates and chat with the staff Super approachable staff for kind advice - they told me to book grab bike since I didn't have enough time to join the day tour Staff also provided lots of tips to get around the town and there's a rooftop view that's pretty cool to watch at night Comfortable mattress to sleep on Clean shared bathroom
The room is a little less spacious for the price I paid. But yea my privacy was assured at least. The room wallpaper is pink - maybe can ask the staff to check in another room without the pink wallpaper. 😅
