The location of the hotel is great. Very close to night market/bazaar, close to city center, clock tower and bus terminal. Rooms were decent size, enough furniture. Views were not bad but the location is the best advantage of this hotel. Breakfast was good with choices of european and thai dishes.

The hotel is past its best years, some remodeling would help. Wifi signal is not good and is not wifi is not available in all rooms. We had three rooms and wifi only worked in one and not always. Swimming pool looks great on photos but although it was crazy hot outside, since the pool doesnt get any sunshine it was really cold all day long and we didnt see anyone in the pool during our 4 days stay. This was the biggest disappointment. Also the staff doesnt speak english and doesnt really even try so when we needed help, advice or suggestion they were not really able/willing to help us and we had to go ask outside the hotel.

Fabulous position, minutes walk from main bus stop, with local bus to White Temple, intercity buses and buses to Thailand and Laos. Next door to bus depot is excellent main night market great for huge range of cheap and good food options. Room was spacious and bright with large windows and mirror. Breakfast was huge buffet with so many choices varying each day, also early start for early departures. Great value all round. I'd definitely stay here again when back in Chiang Rai

Some dropping out of the wifi, and not much info for tours but the hotels in the middle of everything you'd need anyway so that didn't matter

The breakfast buffet was included with the room and offered plenty of options such as western and Thai food. The room was comfortable along with the bed. The air conditioner was very strong which is needed for the hot weather. The lobby area is very nice and presentable.

This is one of the oldest hotels in Chiangrai so it is understandable that the plumbing may be a bit old. It took at least 2 flushes when using the toilet. It may take awhile for hot water to turn on. The shower door did not close all the way so water would splash out.

We loved this classic thai hotel which retains old style lanna style in decor and fityings. Staff are without exception friendly and helpful. Restaurant serves authentic and good quality Thai food, including a sensible and varied breakfast buffet which suits most tastes... and is definitely better than most similar style hotels in this price range. Location perfect for city stay, large rooms with plenty of classic thai teak furniture and fittings. Deservedly popular with groups. A lot of similar old hotels have been updated and lost much of their charm, I definitely prefer this old style. We will be back soon

The only criticism is the plastic shower screen which makes it difficult to get in and out of the bath!

I have been staying at WIang Inn for many years everytime i come to Chiangrai and it has akways been a very pleasant stay. I love the location which is walking distance from the NIght Bazaar. The rooms are always clean. Also the staff are very very friendly and always there to help.

Over the years probably some upgrades are needed. The TV could probably be upgraded to a proper smart TV. The WIfi drops in and out and we have to keep putting the password in. Breakfast although still good but not as good as it was before Covid when we last stayed here.

They cleaned the room every day, breakfast was included in the booking and was pretty ok. The staff are really friendly and helpful and they also offer room service. The room was pretty big and always clean, the beds are very comfy and big. Bathroom was nice and clean. The whole place is kind of like a time capsule from the 1980's and some things are a little run down, but everything has somehow been kept in great condition.

Everything in the bar was a bit overpriced.

One of the older classic thai hotels with spacious rooms, comfortable large bathroom and plenty of nice wooden furniture and fittings. It has a really solid and established feel but never felt 'tired'. A lot of these types of hotel have closed down or become tatty and tired but not this one. Staff always polite and welcoming. The breakfast was extensive and typical Thai buffet but plenty of western options and a spacious dining area. Menu is what you would expect and would be a great place to experience authentic Thai dishes in aircon comfort! They clearly cater to Thai and western tour groups so food is a mix and they do it well. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Chiang rai, very comfortable place.

Not much to grumble about really. It does cater to tour groups ( western and thai) but that means they are very efficient and in this case ( it doesn't always follow) the food is really good. My check in was very smooth but I guess when a big group is arriving you might have to wait. Never affected me though, and there were at least 2 tours coming through when I stayed, wasn't a problem and never felt crowded.

This is one of the original hotels in Chiang Rai and as such it comes with a certain colonial charm. Large rooms fashioned in traditional Thai dark wood, spacious, well equipped bathrooms and excellent dining facilities. The breakfast buffet is good with a wide range of Thai and Western dishes. A pianist plays and sings each evening at the hotel bar, prices are reasonable. The Wiang Inn is a great choice for your stay in Chiang Rai.

The pool area felt a little dated. There are no safes in the bedrooms.

My go to Hotel in Chiang Rai for more than 20 years, nice hotel at a reasonable price. Excellent location in the city centre, ideal for a one day visit and plenty of parking. Love the cocktail bar and the beds are great too.

The hotel is quite dated, though well cleaned and maintained, it has a lot of beautiful old wood making it feel dark. Personally, I like the rustic Northern Thai charm but others may prefer something more contemporary.

Very nice hotel close to the centre and good links to other locations. Live piano music almost every night. Very elegant style and amazing housekeeping team.

Wifi doesn't work in the rooms. We changed rooms to be closer to the router and still, WiFi would disconnect every few minutes. The only reliable WiFi spot is the lounge but it gets very busy so not ideal for remote working.
