Laksasubha is a boutique hotel and is quite intimate with staff quickly recognizing you and available to respond to your needs. The Grand Verandah room was excellent. The hotel has beautiful grounds and is located close to everything you need in Hua Hin.

This was only a minor concern but there could have been more sun lounges as it was difficult to secure a lounge by either pool. People selfishly would claim lounges early in the morning but not use them. Having a veranda with our room allowed us that option but a lounge by the pool or beach some days would be nice.

The beds and the pillows were quite firm. After asking , and not receiving any softer pillows we bought 2 from the supermarket.

All of the staff were excellent. Always gracious and helpful, from reception to bar and restaurant, security, cleaners and maintenance. Location is superb, close to the centre of town whilst quiet and peaceful and only a step onto Hua Hin beach. Breakfast and poolside snacks were very good.

The beachside pool area (whilst lovely) is rather small, with guests often reserving the frontline sunbeds but not using them for sometimes several hours.

The surroundings of the rooms were beautiful. The rooms very comfy and clean. It was nice to read about the site we were staying on. The owner was very pleasant and friendly. Close to amenities restaurants, shops, bars, massage places etc. Right on the beach just a great place to stay

Loved everything

I got an upgrade to one of the villas which was a really nice space. The grounds are beautiful. The breakfast excessive. I really enjoyed this hotel and Hua Hin.

Noise transference from the dragging of chairs across he tilled floor upstairs which it has to be said, would be very easy for the management to remedy.

It was a fantastic place to stay, great value for beach front. Very close to all the bars & not far from the shopping centre. The staff were fantastic & met the owner at Songkran, lovely people. I highly recommend anyone to stay there

Fantastic staff. For example, another guest took small gifts we were given by hotel at New Years Eve celebration, but a staff member came to work on his day off to replace the gifts. Just inexpensive items for our grandchildren but appreciated the gesture. We were treated to a complimentary New Years Eve dinner valued at 5,000 Thai Baht each, even though it was not part of our accommodation package.

Shower water is not always hot enough, but if we had complained, maybe it could have been fixed. It is not always easy to swim in sea as, at times, water high against sea wall. Maybe less paint used in room on recent decorating would have made it easier to open drawers and cupboards.

Midway through my six day stay at this hotel I was upgraded to a bungalow style room that was very nice. The housekeeping staff were very good and friendly. My first three nights were spent in a not as nice room though that was a bit secluded but was clean and comfortable. The reason for my room change was that the locking mechanism on my sliding door malfunctioned and I was locked inside the room. A call to the front desk quickly gained my release.

The thing that I most disliked about this hotel was the restaurant and bar staff. They were not at all friendly and appeared to be extremely unhappy in their work. Having worked in the hotel industry many years I can say that this staff’s attitude was a drawback to staying at this property.

The grand gardenview has a big room, a huge bathroom and a little terrace. Since the property is quite narrow and long and all rooms are lined up on a little path to the ocean. The garden view rooms have connecting doors and they are not soundproof, so if you want it a bit more privat take the rooms with a veranda on the first floor. The staff and the service is excellent, as is the breakfast (One of the best I had around here). The garden is beautiful and well kept, there is not much of a beach though. Deckchairs are only around the two little pools, and there are not that many. If you want more beach you need to go south beyond the monkey rock or to the northern end of Cha Am.

The pools The room was bright and spacious Scrambled eggs were the nicest I ever ever had Every single staff member was delightful and friendly. There is to be a library room off the dining room where people have left their books .

For some reason the breakfast did not tick all my boxes. It was a very reasonable and colourful spread and even included cheese. So it should please 98 per cent of everyone. However I missed having a plate full of hot vegetables. There was a Thai green curry , congee etc though. I didn’t like the small print extra charges for the restaurant meal. There are two charges. Read the very fine print. A better approach would be to include the tourist and device taxes in the menu item price.
