We loved the view and the overall aesthetic of the hotel. The staff were sooo lovely. The pool was gorgeous and so was the room. Lovely coffee shop on site, shame they didn’t do alcoholic drinks in the afternoon/evening.

It was slightly out of the main Sairee centre. Highly recommend hiring a moped to get around as it was 2-3 down into the centre. However they did have a prompt taxi service, just would cost more z

The mattras of the bed was great. The room was really big and had a beatiful modern interior. Great view from the balcony and the bath on the balcony was just perfect. The staff is very polite and friendly. There is a bar next to the pool. They don't serve food. But there is a possibility to order food/breakfast in local restaurants via the staff. The pool is very refreshing and has a great view. It's a little and calm resort. You can rent bikes via the reception and they offer taxirides to the pier.

We liked everything about this property and it really exceeded our expectations! The staff is so nice and helpful and they made the stay even better :) The best staff we encountered during our whole visit in Thailand! If you don't want to stay in the busiest part of the island, this is a great option. It is a bit removed from the noise, partying and a lot of people, but it is not remote at all. It is less than 10 minutes with a taxi from all of the restaurants, bars and shops, and 15 minutes from the pier. Our room was nice and had a nice view, the pool area is beautiful and very relaxing, and the whole property is very pretty. Even though the property does not offer food, they can order breakfast, lunch and dinner for you and you can eat it at the bar. The bar is also very quiet and relaxing, it is right next to the pool area and has a great sunset view. If you don't want to order food or get a taxi to the "city", you can also walk to two restaurants close by and we really liked the one at the Dunsit Buncha resort. The staff also help you with getting taxi and it was always very efficient .

The bathroom sometimes smelled a bit damp, but we find that this is the case everywhere we stayed in southern Thailand, so I'm not sure if the property can do anything about it or it is a wider problem. Everything else was perfect!

Pool is very nice and the view from the pool is beautiful. Staff in reception are very nice and friendly. The hotel is very close to Koh Nang Yuan island which you can order a taxi boat to arrive there, we didn't know that. We asked for the room to be decorated for a birthday before arriving and it was decorated beautifully. The hotel provides breakfast by the pool or at your room and as well as a food delivery service from local restaurants until 7PM. Hotel provides a taxi service that you can WhatsApp and get picked up until midnight Hotel staff is very responsive in WhatsApp (until 8PM)

Location is far from the center if you do not drive a scooter; it's impossible to walk cause it's super hot all the time and the hotel is uphill; we had to order a taxi every time we left the hotel and came back. .each way is 200 Baht; We booked the standard room in a garden zone with no view that was small for us and not worth the price. From what we could see from the outside, the best rooms are those with views of the pool and the sea. I think the difference is noticeable. Breakfast wasn't very good, better to eat in the city. Reception is available only until 8PM

The property was slightly out of the hustle and bustle that suited us. Hiring a motor bike is a must… makes life easier. The room was comfortable with a fabulous view. The pool area very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. A strange way of offering food but it works. There is a cafe area where you can have food delivered from local eateries .

We really enjoyed our stay but this was slightly marred on our departure. I had worn the slippers issued so packed them. I was asked to return them. I’m out to jury on this one … surely if you have worn the slippers they should not be used again? For hygienic reasons?

This magical resort is perfectly located 3 min scooter ride from the chaotic center with all the shops and restaurants. The room is HUGE, the bed was so comfortable, the infinity pool and the view was another world, but on top of all of that- the staff, that is the secret of this place. Everything is managed so smoothly, they are truly doing everything to make your stay pleasant. The reception team reached out to us via WhatsApp before arrival and arranged a taxi from the port, any request we had was answered with a smile, we extended our stay by 2 nights because we loved it so much there. I recommend this place from the bottom of my heart.

Everything was perfect. The only thing I would improve is that there is no restaurant in the property. There’s only cafe (with a good coffee) but no smoothies (which is necessary when chilling by the pool). I would mention that the reception arranged food delivery to the hotel from several restaurants in the island because they don’t have a restaurant there so that is a need they answer.

We were really surprised at how lovely this place was. We booked it on a whim because we couldn’t stay in the place we were moving to next for that few days and honestly, weren’t expecting too much but MY GOD it was LOVELY! We were in Villa 1 and I honestly think that had the best view on the entire island. The rooms are very clean and the staff are lovely and will do anything they can to help you. The infinity pool is beautiful and it was never busy, which was great. It’s a very chilled place and we will definitely book again when we return to Koh Tao. Best sunset views 🌅🌅🌅

Absolutely LOVED this place! We took the seaside deluxe suite and we got a gigantic room with a big balcony to watch the beautiful sunset. The bed was huge and comfy. Pool is really nice with the best view. Staff were kind and helpful - they helped us when we got a stomach virus on the island. Would definitely come back!

If you don’t plan to rent a scooter like us - expect some 15 minutes walk on the road to the center of town, or alternatively to take a taxi every time you go out or come back to the hotel. Also, take into consideration the hotel’s restaurant has a limited menu, but they do offer food delivery services.

The location of the property is stunning - looks out over the sea and the sunsets are beautiful. Very modern rooms and the best staff - they were so helpful throughout our whole stay with recommendations of beaches and where to go. And so friendly. We really enjoyed our time here.

There’s no food available but a huge menu that you can get take away from so if you can’t get a moped into town, really easy to order and we saw them bring plates and cutlery for those who ordered that way. Taxi into town is 200 THB each way so be prepared for that if you’re not renting a moped.

Perfect Stay at AVA Resort We had an absolutely amazing stay at the AVA Resort! The hotel staff were exceptional—always attentive, incredibly friendly, and super helpful throughout our entire visit. They made us feel right at home and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. One of the most convenient aspects was that the hotel organized scooters and taxis for us, including our ride to the ferry. This made our checkout process incredibly smooth and stress-free. The resort itself is beautifully designed, with lots of attention to detail. Our room was spotless, bright, and had a stunning view of the sea. Since the resort is located on the west coast, we got to enjoy breathtaking sunsets every evening. It was truly the perfect way to end each day. What we also loved was that the resort is situated just slightly outside the busy areas, offering a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. But if you do want to get into town, it’s only a 5-minute scooter ride to downtown. So you get the best of both worlds—tranquility and easy access to all the local attractions. Overall, it was a perfect stay, and we wholeheartedly recommend AVA Resort to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing vacation!
