We had a pleasant stay at Altera Hotel and Residence A special thank you to the front desk staff OIL and PIM who helped me communicate in the local language for my personal package delivery. PIM referred Bolt taxi (4adults +2kids)for our stay in Thailand which enabled us to move around Pattaya and Bangkok easily and reasonably. Cleanliness was spot on. House keeping was prompt she made sure everything was replenished and clean. Buffet breakfast had a mix of japanese +Korean+Chinese +Thai +continental which was good, the restaurant staff always checked on us and helped catered to our kids meal. Location -everything is walking distance from the hotel The hotel also has free shuttle bus timing 11 -12-13.00-14.00 .. 3 different stops- beach + terminal 21 n Central Seven eleven was 2 mins walk Indian restaurants 3 mins walk Walking street 3/4mins walk Alcazar show -8mins walk At any hotel it is the staff that makes ur stay pleasant And at Altera all the staff worked together to give us a wonderful stay. One bedroom Suite, this room is absolutely huge it made the difference for a long two week stay. Spacious walk in closet, extremely rare for a hotel room. The bed was soft and very comfortable. Quite unusual for Thailand. including the comforter and pillows were all exceptional.

The room was a bit dated some small items needed repair, but nothing serious and everything was functional and clean. The only thing I found disappointing and would’ve given this hotel a 10 was the towels needed to be replaced. They were definitely showing there age, thin, and not soft. I think if they invested in new towels, I would have given this room a straight 10.

Friendly & helpful staff, excellent pool experience, very good breakfast for only 200THB. Large comfortable rooms with Japanese style wall AC’s. AC’s working great and extra key card allows guest to keep room cool while visiting the city and return to a cool oasis.Great wifi and very good digital international channels on TV. Large refrigerator, large walk in closet. 1-minute walk to 7-11. 5 minutes walk to party life on Soi 6. But also very quiet hotel at night just enough distance from all the action. 5-10 minutes walk to the main Pattaya Beach road. Plenty of motorbike taxis and car taxis waiting just outside the hotel entrance.

The only small issue for me was some barking dogs disturbing my sleep a few times at night. The dogs are homeless and living in an adjacent empty lot across from the hotel’s pool area. I had a full pool view room and unfortunately the barking noise appears to affect pool view rooms the most. The hotel staff kindly moved me into another room and everything was perfect from there. If you’re a light sleeper like me, recommend that you consider a room without the pool view. I will return to this hotel next time in Pattaya. Exceptional overall experience.

One of my regular hotels when I drop in, always friendly staff and very clean, large rooms.

The room close to the pool actually turned out to be more noisy than other locations, with guests using the pool + tables late at night, talking loudly like if all alone in the world... So I would NOT recommend a pool side room...

The hotel was great, very clean and tidy, no loud noises at night although only a couple hundred meters from night life streets. The service was amazing all the staff from the reception, the security at the door, the cleaning service, the restaurant and all without exception were all wonderful and did their best all the time. It is also not far away from the wonderful bars areas and it had a good swimming pool time hours. The breakfast option in the morning was very vast and a lot of choices and a mix of traditional thai till western options. An amazing thing about the toilet they had an inbuilt bidet were you could also regulate the water strength for both use behind and front this was a big plus.

The sauna was during my stay out of service

This hotel has everything and more. It's a four star hotel but once you add up all the amenities and services provided, it synergizes into a five star hotel in my mind. Large rooms with washer, kitchen, two ACs for separate rooms, spacious, excellent breakfast, decent gym, nice pool, and sauna. Don't hesitate to book here. Location is great and although some touches don't quite meet the five star standard, when you combine everything, you may change your mind like I did. Wouldn't hesitate to book again. Special shout-out to the breakfast staff, Pen was exceptional in her service and super attentive!

Gym could use a little more space and weights!

Facilities in the room was fantastic. Very comfi bed, lounge and a small kitchen containing a fridge freezer and a washing machine. I was able to broaden my Thailand experience by cooking Thai dishes, and breakfast at any time. Also very friendly and helpful staff.

Fluctuating internet but following my reporting of the issue the hotel promptly put in a VIP connection with my own router and password at no extra charge. Lack of AC or fans in the long corridors. AC great in the rooms, lift and reception though.

The location was good. Quiet enough at night to get good rest (stayed on 5th floor). Staff was polite and accommodating. Security is good as well around the clock. 24 hour desk. 7-11 stores in either direction you walk, drive, or are driven. Small gym with some equipment and nice sauna. Pool is nice looking as well although I did not use. Washing machine in unit.

My experience, the elevator was slow so I took the stairs up and down throughout my 5 day stay. During the day, construction can be heard. No dryer in unit and no dedicated place to hang clothes after washing.

Everything was great: 1. The personnel were super-friendly. 2. The fastest check-in process in my life :) 3. Bed was comfortable, not too soft, not too hard. 4. Despite the location, it was quiet at night. I saw some complains about hot water pressure / or its temperature, but fortunately, I didn't experience such problems (maybe it depends on block of the hotel).

Some minor things: 1. The Internet connection via wifi was stable, but not fast enough. I mean, it's enough to browse websites, book hotels, etc, but if you plan having e-meetings, be prepared that image/sound quaility will be poor. 2. Otherall, it was clean in my room, but the balcony's floor was a bit dusty. 3. Some parts looked as they should be renovated soon (and the manager told me, that they will be renovating that hotel's block next year!)

Nice big room, it's more like two rooms really. Also a big refrigerator and a freezer as well as cooking possibilities. Bed was great. Love the big floor to ceiling windows which give a great view outside. Good cleaning and room service with plenty food options from morning to 22:00. Shower pressure and water temperature was good, I heard from some other reviews complain about that. but it seems like they have upgraded it. No noise during the night even though pretty close to some nightlife.

AC unit on balcony is pretty loud when relaxing outside.
