The location was amazing. It was a 7 minute walk to the village of Goreme. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The property was clean and modern. The feel of the hotel was luxury but in keeping with the authentic setting. It was one of the only Cave Hotels that had a large garden. The views were spectacular, whether it was the evening looking out over the valley seeing the beautiful lights or the early morning watching the balloons pass by. The breakfast was excellent, good quality authentic healthy Turkish food.

Absolutely nothing to dislike.

You are probably confused when booking a room in capadocia, but its simple there are 3 cities , Goreme, Ushisar , Urgup , the best is Goreme (this hotel), Urgup you dont see the ballons , Ushisar is far from the ballons and Goreme Ballons pratically go over the city waking you up literally , you get to take the famous pictures with lovely terraces (this hotel has one) ... There are 3 types of hotel in Goreme, City center street level stone hotels with almost no view, Middle level hotels , and the best higher hotels with paroramic views over the all valley (this hotel). The Lunar capadocia is a gem hotel, very beautiful cave hotel (real caves) , with the famous pigeon houses in the rocks , and lovely terraces where you can see the morning ballons and take the intagram pictures. The staff is lovely and friendly, they have a agency that helps you with ballon rides, tours and turkish night show (I so recomend this one is to much fun) The SPA room is very big, heated flor, jacuzzi very large room inside a cave. You have a parking space in the front of the hotel, bealive me if you rent a cart you will want those as it almost impossible to park a car o inside goreme. Breakfast is just OK could be much better, but its fair and have a good options not very luxurious but ok. In the day 01-2023 we had a ballon literary almost landing in the hotel waking everybody screaming "Happy new year", at first I wanted to shot the ballon down, but then everybody went out of the rooms into the garden and he had a very lovely experiencie, this is Lunar Capadocia

The hotel is still in construction so a lot of negleted areas , the hotel doest have a restaurante or food service , so you have to walk out for it, althougt you have excelente choices at walking distance. The doors and windows on the room are quite funky they make noises and they have a slack and bump with the wind. The hotel also doesnt have indoor, or outdoor swiming pool, I went in the winter so outdoor was somehow out of the question, but if you go in the summer and want to refresh and take a tan, you will lack this in the hotel. I think these issues will be addressed by the owner has they said , restaurant will open soon, and then probably the pool, so the price will probably double , so go there as soon as you can, if you wait for these upgrades you will pay much more....

Our room was very cozy with comfortable twin beds for my friend and me. The bathroom was beautiful, with great water pressure in an exceptional shower. The viewing platform for seeing hot air balloons in the morning was smaller than I exected, and likely due to heavy rains the night before, there were no cushions to sit on. The view was beautiful regardless.

While it was not an issue for us, be aware that this hotel is nearly at the end of the road, and any restaurants or shopping will require a short hike down to the main area. The rooms are beautiful but not well soundproofed. We heard our neighbors conversations fairly clearly.

What more can I say! This place is absolutely amazing. The night staff were incredibly helpful and even gave us a room upgrade, which made our stay extra special. The room itself was spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable, offering a perfect retreat. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options that truly set the tone for the day. While Turkey is generally a pet-friendly destination, this hotel takes it to another level. We left the window open overnight, and to our delight, we woke up to a cute furry visitor—a charming and unexpected moment that made our stay even more memorable!

Lunar Cappadocia Hotel exceeded all my expectations! The property is absolutely charming, blending traditional Cappadocian style with modern comfort. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and offered stunning views of the unique landscape—waking up to the sight of hot air balloons in the morning was unforgettable! What I loved most was the warm hospitality of the staff. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to assist with recommendations or arrangements, making me feel right at home. The breakfast was another highlight—delicious and plentiful, with a great variety of fresh, local options to start the day. The hotel’s location was also perfect, close to Göreme’s main attractions yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and serene. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Cappadocia. I highly recommend Lunar Cappadocia Hotel and would definitely return on my next visit!

Lunar Cappadocia Hotel was wonderful overall, with stunning views, great hospitality, and charming rooms. However, the soundproofing could be better, as I occasionally heard noise from neighboring rooms. The breakfast was delicious but could use more variety for longer stays. Still, these were minor issues, and I’d happily stay here again!

Lunar Capadoccia is a GEM - the location is phenomenal. If you're looking for a hotel that is gorgeously located and you want to enjoy seeing the balloons in the early morning, don't look any further. They offer plenty of rooftops to take stunning photos and Enzar was an unbelievable help in the setup and taking instagrammable pictures. Enzar went above and all for us! Thank you!!! The rooms are so beautiful, build in the cave, with private rooftops and places to sit. The bathrooms were so relaxing after long days in the heat. The beds were the best, so large, bigger than your standard king. The breakfast was plentiful, lots of choices and the cooks make delicious eggs any way you want! I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Honestly nothing!

The staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was exquisite, exactly as shown on the website. The breakfast was excellent with a huge choice that would suit most people, don't go expecting a "Full English Breakfast", you're in the heart of Turkey. They have a rooftop terrace with a bar, and I mean rooftop, quite a climb but really worth it.... amazing views! The walk down to the town is easy as it's all downhill, bit of a trek back after a night out... good for walking off a big meal. We would have no hesitation staying here again.

A special, peaceful, unforgettable place to stay. In Göreme, there are many cave hotels bunched together. We were pleased to be at Lunar because it was high up, with a stunning view of the balloons over Göreme and a spacious courtyard with areas to relax outside. It has a dedicated car parking area, and cats who will quickly find out whether you're a cat person or not (if you do like cats, prepare to have a friend for the week!) The staff are friendly, helpful, and happy to be there. Ensar is an asset to the hotel, he is friendly, hard working, and he went above and beyond to make our stay great. I am already missing this beautiful hotel & my freshly cooked omelette in the morning! I'm so glad we stayed here & hope to return one day. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Göreme, don't go anywhere else.

Our stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, the friendly and helpful staff made us feel right at home. The hotel's location was perfect, allowing us to easily explore the surrounding area. Each morning, we were treated to a beautiful breakfast spread. The combination of excellent service, prime location, and delightful breakfast made our stay truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fantastic hotel experience!

Everything was perfect!

Property was stunning, rooms clean and lovely. Fantastic choice at breakfast. Staff so helpful. The view for the balloons in the morning was definitely the best as it is the furthest up!! I would definitely stay again.

On advertisement of the room it says that all deluxe twins have a bath and a shower. That is not true, we booked x2 deluxe twins and they were completely different. Ours had only a shower and was a lot smaller. The other room had a bath, shower and a balcony. Shame that you pay the same and we got 2 completely different rooms. We’d booked these as knew they included a bath. The viewing platform is beautiful but one of them wasn’t set up so in a morning it was full of tourists fighting to get photos it’s a shame the 2nd viewing platform wasn’t set up as shown on the hotel photos.
