The property was very close to the centrum but still peaceful and quiet. It is very convenient location that is close to restaurants and bus terminal as well as the attractions. We enjoyed the hospitality of the staff, specially to Gazi, Same and Rabiya. If you have a question or want a recommendation, Gazi can fix everything and he is very amicable and speaks a lot of languages! The only issue I have is the wifi. 😂 It doesn’t seem to work properly when inside the room, you have to stay outside for a better connection to the internet. This is from my experience but other than that, I have nothing but only great memories and experience from this hotel and this trip 🥳

I hope the wifi could also work very good inside the cave room.

Many hotels at Cappadocia call themselves cave hotels. Not many genuinely are. Melek is one of the few real cave hotels there. Steeped in history, this place is a pleasure to be in. The staff there, Gazi and Sameh, are amazing. Communication was easy since Gazi speaks quite a few languages and English fluently. The homemade cookies at breakfast are really very good.

No windows in the room and no ventilation in the bathroom. But then its a cave isn't it?

Unfortunately, the bathroom in the triple room was unpleasant and uncomfortable. There are was poor lighting, broken equipment, no hooks for clothes, no towel dryer, no bathroom furniture at all. Does not match the photos in the description. As for breakfast, it was pretty basic and the same every day, although the omelette was tasty ;)

Melek Cave Hotel exceeded our expectation. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful. At one point, the staff helped us make a call in Turkish to find my husband's missing cell phone. The breakfast on the terrace was wonderful. The location is closed to everything including the Lovers' Hill for panoramic view of Goreme and the valley. In the early morning hours, you may step outside and see hot air balloons everywhere. Highly recommend this place for your stay!

It was my third time in magic Goreme and for sure not last... This time stayed in a real cave room without windows which was great experience. Bed was very comfy, room huge and nicely decorated, siting area fantastic where I could enjoy tea or coffee anytime... Lighting in cave great, Wi-Fi good what surprised me as that was really cave. Good breakfast on the roof terrace with cute cats running around :) Check in and check out very smoothly, staff very nice and ready organise local attractions. Location great: on the way to sunset point view and max 5 minutes walk to main street or bus station. All for a big plus

Very cozy place with cave rooms. Very detail oriented with decorations and has nice seating spots outside the rooms. Breakfast is served in the terrace. And staff were very nice and helpful. Location was good, it seemed to be in the quieter part of town however still few minutes walk from restaurants. There is free street parking near by.

Cave rooms were hot due to lack of air conditioner, room had fan provided yet it was not enough during summer heat.

Great hotel with good location - nearby to restaurants and shops. It is also located near to the look up point. Room was good and clean.

As i travelled during fall, I found the heater is not warm enough especially at night / early morning. We also booked an airport transfer (Airport to hotel) but the hotel did not make the reservation we ended up waiting for 30mins in cold,. We contacted the hotel, and said they will let us know in 10 mins but they fail to return my call, and I tried to reach them after that but fail - no warm body to pick my call. We had to use other services to send us to the hotel.

The hotel was decorated beautifully, and our room was spacious and clean. I was worried about there not being AC with our stay being in August, but the room was cool enough to still need a blanket at night. The hotel was located in the perfect spot with many shops and restaurants only a short 5 minute walk away. The staff was extremely helpful and kind, and the owner secured our excursions and hot air balloon ride at a great price. Would absolutely stay here again!

great location. walking distance to almost anything. a true cave experience. Gazi, the chirpy receptionist in charge is the reason my stay was memorable. he was always there to help. he arranged the transfers and found a good hot air balloon deal for me.

property is a little dated. nothing fancy. breakfast was basic. my room has no windows and no a/c. it might be a problem when the weather heats up.

We really liked Melek Hotel. All the while, his Governor Veli took care of our convenience around the clock. Thank you Veli for the care you took for us to make us feel comfortable. The hotel is located in the perfect location in Goreme and has everything you need for the comfort of your guests. It is close to the center and to all the sights around. Veli organized our balloon flights and I would say that he chose the best company that made our flight unforgettable. The hotel has truly beautiful and comfortable cave rooms in which you can feel the pleasure of sleeping in such a room and feel the spirit of Cappadocia. On my next visit, I would definitely stay at the Melek Cave Hotel again.
