Great location and value

Excellent location - 4 minute walking distance down the hill to a bunch of restaurants. A few minutes driving distance to many of Cappadocia's attractions, including Uchisar Castle, Love Valley, Rose Valley, Goreme Open Air Museum. Though it was too cold for us to use it, swimming pool was beautiful and heated. Evening lights made hotel look beautiful with rock formation/cave background. Great spot to watch hot air balloons in the mornings. Breakfasts were the same each day, but each day's breakfast had a lot of variety. Friendly staff at the hotel made us feel very welcome, except for one person who tried to push a particular "Turkish Nights" show on us, even though we asked information about another show...but was pleasant about it.

Our room had a slight musty/sulfur-like smell...nothing too bad.

- Outstanding breakfast, nothing was missing, exceptionally delicious and wide variety of classic Turkish breakfast. - Super central location walkable to main downtown area and bunch of restaurants. - The pool is amazing, well kept and clean and nice temperature. Pool beds also comfortable. - Staff was very helpful at all times and helping with all inquiries and requests with a smile. - The room had everything we needed and bunch of toiletries too with even hard to find items in other hotels (like towel slippers, makeup remover, sewing kits, toothbrush and toothpaste etc.) not just the basic shampoo so we appreciated that.

- Minos issues with the AC in the room with water leak. They can use an upgrade.

My stay at this cave hotel was nothing short of perfect! The room was absolutely stunning—clean, spacious, and beautifully designed to give you that authentic cave experience while still feeling luxurious. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring I had a restful night’s sleep after exploring the beautiful landscapes of Cappadocia. A special mention goes to Güney at the reception—he was so helpful and welcoming, making sure everything was just right for my stay. His friendly demeanor and local tips really added to the overall experience. The breakfast was also very good, with plenty of delicious options to start the day. And let’s talk about the hotel’s view—absolutely breathtaking! Whether it was enjoying the peaceful surroundings by the pool or sitting by the fire in the outdoor area, everything was magical. The combination of the cave atmosphere with the stunning outdoor areas really made this a stay to remember. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to have a perfect Cappadocia experience!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Local Cave House Hotel. The property itself is so beautiful, peaceful and quiet, set into the rock face and centred around the pool with many different terraces and places you can relax. The location of the property is very convenient, just a couple of minutes walk into the main town centre but also very close to the balloon viewpoint up on the hill (but you can also watch the balloons from the hotel) and access to other hikes and activities. Ahmed and the staff are very kind and helpful, going out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and having a great stay. Would highly recommend staying here for your stay in Cappadocia!

Nothing, it was perfect

Really cool place. The staff were some of the best and nicest hospitality staff I have ever met in my life. Both Ahmed and the owner/ manager (I think that's what he was) were both incredibly kind. They will offer you Turkish tea and will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and happy when using the common areas. The breakfast was huge and very tasty. They even allowed us to stay poolside after we checked out as we waited for our evening bus. Ahmed and the owner/ manager kept offering us tea and were more than happy for us to use the pool, even giving us towels and cushions for the lounges despite the fact we were technically no longer staying there. They had great local recommendations for food and hikes too. The room was very clean with a good shower and comfy bed. Despite the fact it was a bit on the pricier side (but all of Cappadocia is like this) I would stay again for sure.

The hotel itself was beautiful and clean. It was snowing during our stay hence we're not able to use the pool and the carpet & pillows in the rooftop was removed which was understandable. They allowed us to have an early check-in and even called a taxi for us during the check out. The breakfast was served on a per table basis but it was delicious, filling and beautifully arranged.

Its not that we didn't like, but we just noticed that the toilet bowl was placed a bit high specially for Asian normal height. It could have been more comfortable if it was not that high.

Beautiful location and property. For a cave hotel, I believe the room was large, more light, and nicer than most I saw online. The view was gorgeous from our room. I would stay here again for location and view. The staff also was nice enough to carry breakfast up to our room one day when we were tired, and wake us up in our room early for our hot air balloon rides. Only issues were that the bathtub did not work during the stay (was told this was due to Ramadan and low water supply however the showers worked) and musty smell in the room. However, I would expect this to be common in cave rooms.

Our stay in Cappadocia, Turkey was truly unforgettable, thanks to this beautiful hotel. We stayed in a cave room that was surprisingly spacious, spotlessly clean, and full of charm—an authentic experience with all the modern comforts. What made the stay even more special was the incredibly welcoming staff. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made us feel right at home. And the breakfast—absolutely the highlight of each morning! A colorful spread of flavorful local delicacies that not only looked amazing but gave the perfect start to the day. Highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Cappadocia!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cave hotel—such a unique and memorable experience! The rooms were beautifully carved into the rock, clean, and full of character. The setting was peaceful, and the view from the terrace was absolutely stunning. A big shoutout to Ahmed, who was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. He helped us with everything from luggage to local recommendations, and truly made us feel at home.

That said, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. Since this is a traditional cave-style property, there are no lifts, which might be a bit of a challenge for those with mobility issues. Thankfully, the staff (especially Ahmed) were more than happy to help with our bags.
