The hotel is very central to walk around the town and walk to anywhere you need to go whether out for dinner or for some shopping. I loved the hotel rooms. The room was a great size and the shower is big and the bathroom was good too. The aircon worked well as it was so hot during our stay! The views were fantastic from our window of Goreme and the fairy chimneys. The hosts were lovely and helped us to book our tours and took great care of us.

The electrics were not great - lights needed fixing to the walls better. But other than that everything worked exceptionally well and I would definitely stay here again!

Walnut House totally exceeded my expectations! After a long, freezing 14-hour bus ride from Istanbul, I finally arrived in Cappadocia, safe and sound. The host was incredibly welcoming and let us check in early with no hassle, which was a lifesaver after such a tiring journey. The moment we settled into our room, all the tiredness from the trip melted away. The place is tucked away between a spa and a restaurant, just a short walk from the bus station, shopping spots, and plenty of dining options. It doesn't really look like a typical hotel from the outside—it feels more like staying in a cozy, warm home. One of the highlights was the hot air balloon ride. The owner kindly helped us book a sunrise flight with Brothers Hot Air Balloon at a great price, and it was an amazing experience! Floating above the stunning Cappadocia landscape was like a dream come true. I really wished I could’ve stayed longer to enjoy more of their wonderful hospitality. The staff was so friendly and helpful—they made us feel right at home. If I ever visit Cappadocia again (and I definitely hope I do!), Walnut House will be my go-to spot. Overall, I had an unforgettable experience—honestly, I couldn’t find fault with anything.

Excellent location, It is located in the heart of Cappadocia, just few minutes walk from bus station and market. There are lots of restaurants around. Breast fast was excellent. The staffs were very helpful, polite. We arrived very early due to the flight and they allowed us early check in without any charge and allowed us to wait at the lounge on the day we left as we have night bus. It was very good experience and I will stay here again.

I booked the budget room through booking.com. That room was very poor. I didn realise that there wont be a fan in a small stuffy room in warm weather. There was no ac too. Booking.com should mention that there was no fan and surely I would not book that room.Then I had to change the room and that was heaven in compare to the previous one.

Right in the heart of Göreme, a stone's throw from the bus station and incredibly peaceful. The views from the upper (enclosed and somewhat heated during winter) deck at breakfast are magnificent. Even with the frigid temperatures and driving snow, a few balloons were undeterred! I think my room was actually an upgrade, with a wonderful surprise "turkish bath," which was a heated slab of marble that felt like heaven after each long, cold-and-wet day of exploring fairy-tale landscapes through the snow, and was just as relaxing and luxurious as the hot baths I also took each morning. There are fluffy robes and towels, slippers, and a ventilation fan in the bathroom. The (hotplate) kitchenette, equipped with the basics, had heated floors...which felt amazing. The bedroom area itself wasn't directly heated (there was some residual heat from the other areas), which was actually perfect for getting a good night's rest. For breakfast they offered more delicious foodstuffs than anyone could possibly eat, with so many choices I couldn't even sample them all. And then they offer to cook up more!

I would recommend Walnut House to anyone visiting Cappadocia. They made our stay comfortable and were helpful at every stage. The rooms are spacious and clean--as was the bathroom. The traditional Turkish breakfast served here was good. In particular, I liked the view of the hot air balloons taking off into the sky from the hotel terrace. The hotel manager put us at ease and was helpful during check-in and check out. Importantly, there are other touristy places around the place. Be it restaurants, handicraft shops, ticket/tour booking centres, etc., everything is just a 5/10-minute walk away. If you are travelling during cold weather the rooms can be warm and comfortable from within.

The cutest boutique family operated hotel. It's the owners grandfather's old turkish pasha- style house that's been converted into a hotel so each room is different. You can tell lots of thought has been put into the artwork & wall paintings. One of the most unique places I've stayed and i travel quite a bit. Great location, breathtaking breakfast roof top views and very friendly owners.

Great location, at the bottom of town so no hill walking. Ami was our host and he was very accomodating and hospitable, nothing was a problem. I was travelling with a friend and ended up changing rooms- he found a new room for both of us (2 rooms) he booked all our tours as well. He was a friendly humble man. The room I changed to (a comfort room) was huge and very clean- it has been the best accommodation on my trip so far (4 weeks in Turkey)

The first room I booked was an economy room with 2 single beds- I was originally going to share with my friend but we decided to split. That room was small with no aircon.

Great location in Goreme, just off main shopping, restaurant area. Unique decor, family owned hotel. Traditional turkish breakfast offerings. Nice rooftop seating area where breakfast is served. Good viewing for early morning hot air balloons.

Needs basic repairs, No shower curtain or glass around bath tub, Shower sprayer had leaks so water spray was hard to contain. Half torn window screen so could not keep window open.

Very central Goreme easy to get to from bus stop. 3 min walk. We had a deluxe room with balcony which was lovely so sit out on good view. The breakfast was brilliant great choice and all fresh very friendly happy staff thank you. Lovely view from roof top.

Unfortunately bathroom need maintenance cracked toilet seat and a bit shabby.electrics need maintenance . The front desk staff need cheering up. The poor chap was there all time even slept in reception. If you have a courtyard room there are no views.

Central. Heated flooring. Quiet. View from balcony. Comfy beds. Guy at reception was friendly and helpful albeit not very fluent in English. I do not think I overpaid though as you pretty much get what is advertised.

Breakfast VERY limited and my order of soft eggs came with both yolk and egg white undercooked. Fridge next to bed very noisy so unplugged it. I think it is a GOOD place to stay but unfortunately good=7, which would be a bit unfair to them, so giving it an 8.
