The best thing about the hostel is the staff. Irina rr, Ibo and Parsa are very friendly, they are always willing to help you with whatever you need, they make the atmosphere of the place more than pleasant and you feel like a family. The building has a good security system which made me feel safe. The kitchen is spacious, however I suggest optimizing the space and utensils so that more people can use it at the same time. The location is very central and you can find all kinds of establishments around such as restaurants, supermarkets, bars, ATMs, etc. I would definitely stay at this hostel again and I will definitely do so in the future.

We opted for a private room with attached bathroom in this hostel. There was plenty of space in the room, and it was very clean. The bathroom was quite large. From our window, we had a great view of the street. Tophane tram station is located only 5 minutes from the hostel, which makes it a convenient location if you plan on using public transportation to commute in Istanbul. A mere 10 minute walk will take you to Istiklal street as well. The neighbourhood was neither too loud or nor too quiet. A supermarket is located just outside the hostel. The street has many cafes as well. The hotel offers luggage storage for those who wish to check out early and keep their luggage for a few hours. If you are a cat lover, you will enjoy the cats at the reception. A big thank you to the staff for providing us with excellent service. On arrival, we were helped with our luggage since the hostel had no lift and our room was on the third floor. We had a problem with our ATM card on the day of check-in, preventing us from making the payment; they were gracious and allowed us to make the payment the next day. The door of our bathroom got locked from inside at midnight and we panicked as we had to check out the next morning and a lot of our belongings were in there. They responded immediately to our call and resolved the issue. Overall, this hotel was well worth the money and would highly recommend it.

Taking the stairs to the third floor can be a bit tiring. From Tophane station, you have to walk up a steep street to the hostel, so it can be challenging.

The hostel is in a great location- close to everything and far from noise, the hostel itself is quite. The staff is very approachable and helpful. The size of the room (six-bed) and the bathrooms were good, as well as the conditions (but it also depends on the guests). In the end, very good value for price, so it was a good choice- why not repeat :)

Nothing specific except noisy AC. Other comments are more as suggestions: Need to add hat rack/hanger and dimmer lamp or curtains for each bed to make it more comfortable due to lack of balcony and to reduce disturbing other people with bright light. It would be better if common space (seating area) is always accessible but it might affect the silence.

The room was simple but more than enough for our stay. The common room of the hostel is cozy and always full of people to chat with. Staff is exceptional and welcomed us as friends before than costumers. The area is also very well served with shops and cafes and everything one might need.

If I had to find a negative side, the kitchen is a bit small if you're planning a long stay. Other than this, everything was perfect.

Hey guys thank you for this place! The hostel is comfortable, clean and location is great - just 5 mins apart from Taksim street. Right opposite to the hostel you can find budget grocery store and various small cafes - Borek, Ciy Kofte (must try both of them). The hosts are welcoming and helpful. Safety is on point - you'll get a small lock for the storage. The hostel experience got to the new level for me - I've met one person and she became my best friend! That's actually unexpected but amazing. Also, public transport is really close - just go down the street and you'll find tram station. Best of luck with your future travels!

The staff was so friendly and welcoming as well as super chill and relaxed. Good location with lots of restaurants and shops close by and very close to public transportation.

Reception is not 24 hours as stated during booking and there is more than one Cheers hostel which was not readily apparent during the booking process. This is more than likely the fault on booking.com than the hostel itself. I do also think the hostel should post prices for activities in advance of participating in them as it is typically for backpackers on a budget.

I absolutely loved my stay at Cheers Midtown hostel and can't wait to come back. I stayed in an 8 bed mixed dorm, My bed was super comfy and I had a lot of space to leave my things. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a bathroom on every floor. In the evenings, the hostel organised pub crawls and the guys who ran the place were very helpful with recommendations on places to go and things to do. Any issues I had, I would go straight to the guys and they would solve it straight away. For example, one night we couldn't work the AC, it was 3 o'clock in the morning and they fixed it for us immediately. Location wise we were next to Istiklal street, taksim square and the galata tower. The blue mosque was only a short tram ride away with the tram stop being only 3 minute walk from the hostel. Perfect location for a nice stay in Istanbul. Will be back.

The room was nice and the staff was very friendly. I only stayed for 1 night, so I can't say much. the neighbourhood was nice, small shops and full of life.

When I checked out, I couldn't find anyone (it was 5 am, so I don't blame them) so, I didn't know where to leave the keys. However, this is also my mistake I should've told them in advance.

It is in the best part of the city close to all sighstweings and public transport. Also, room was very clean , bathroo normal for short time and host was good.

They really have to add cooffee to their services, at least just one cup of coffee would be realy good
