Location is great! And the huge terrace we had in a room was over our expectations

The did nt provide you with the key from the building entrance and sometimes the receptionist was sleeping so it was difficult to get in

It's like an ancient building brimming with vibrant memories. The rooftop view is simply breathtaking, offering a perspective that inspires endless appreciation.

The property has a lot of potential, but it could benefit from some updates. A few areas, particularly where the walls have cracks, would really enhance the overall experience. Additionally, we noticed the TV remote was missing batteries, which prevented us from enjoying TV during our stay. It would be helpful to have a system in place for guests to request items like batteries more easily. Overall, with some minor improvements, this place could be even more enjoyable!

It was perfectly positioned to experience the Galata area on foot and has an impressive view from the rooftop.. We were upgraded spontaneously by the friendly staff. Istanbul has a tolerance for travelers. Not to mention cats.

The construction in the area make it difficult to navigate walking on the narrow sidewalks. Rather take a taxi when you have luggage. Once you arrive, very helpful staff takes your luggage off your hands.

The service was incredible. So helpful and kind. The room was beautiful, with a large sitting area and comfortable bed. The shower also an absolute highlight. But really cool was the rooftop terrace, those views were better than in some restaurants we stayed in. The hill to the hotel is rather steep but you are on the main shopping and food road of Karaköy (or taksim..? Of the district anyway) in 2 minutes, but it’s a very quiet street.

Be really careful even with the taxi service they organize to and from the hotel. I shared a taxi with two guests I met in the morning and the taxi driver tried to get me to pay him 50€ separate at the airport. His argument was that the guys didn’t know “this lady” (me) so I am a new party. In the same car. At one point he was actually screaming at me to stop talking. Thankfully the guys with me kept cool and called the hotel, they then cleared it up with the driver and suddenly it was all a big misunderstanding. So if you use the service definitely have the hotel number in your phone.

Huge and modern room, or better to say studio for myself. Comfy bed, clean, with all you need. Location is great, very close to Instikal Street, and the tram station and the Galata Tower. Easy to get to places.

Super steedy and narrow street. You better be fit to walk up and down around that area. Also, as a solo female traveller I should have chosen a busier street. Nothing happened, it may be safe, but wouldn't recomend for a solo female because of this. Or if you are backpacking and coming from the airport by public transport. Or if you are using a wheel suitcase. Good for couples or friends. Also families.

Our electrics kept switching off so Galata Rooms couldnt be more helpful in swapping rooms for us to a slightly bigger one. Only issue with this one was the Toilet kept running all night so could hear it every now and then but was not a huge issue at all

The hotel is very centralised, near to the main street but on the quiet alleys. Building looks pretty small but room is decently big, spacious for one person — a desk to work, a sofa, a kitchenette and a cool sit place at window?! Receptionist was very friendly, helpful and love the roof terrace, the view is incredible. Its near to Galata, within 5 mins walk you are near to cute cafes, shops and the tourist area. 10 mins walking toward the neighbourhood near taksim are then cafes and shops that are more local. So location is between both offers which is great. They have a/c too!

Its located at an alley with massive slope, but just like any part of istanbul with lots of steep slopes.

The staff were extremely helpful and accomodating to our every need. They even added me on whatsapp incase I had any emergencies. They even gave us a late checkout because my partner was unwell. Overall it is a great location and value for money. I will definitely go back to my charming room with the most amazing and comfortable bed!

I didn't like no breakfast in the morning but I think that may have been an option that I didn't ask for. They gave great recommendations of places I could go to and we were very close to the main street.

The location was so perfect. Was right off the main shopping street, but so peaceful and serene. Only a few minutes walk to galata tower. I was able to walk to Hagia Sofia, blue mosque, grand bizarre and all the major sites. Close to everything! The staff, especially Kamron, were very helpful and accommodating! The room itself was beautiful and every room is unique. Would 10/10 recommend and will definitely stay here again!

The accommodation is a beautifully renovated but also carefully preserved, old building near Istiklal street, just a 3-minute walk up a steep hill. The location was perfect, with a tram station only 350 meters away and surrounded by great restaurants, small shops and, of course, numerous friendly cats that added to the charm of the neighbourhood. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with regular sheet and towel changes. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooftop terrace provided an amazing view of the Asian coast. The workers at the establishment, especially Kamran, were exceptional. They were not only polite but also displayed excellent English skills, making communication effortless. Their commitment to ensuring a positive experience was evident when they even offered us an upgrade, despite our satisfaction with the initial room. Such attentive service left a lasting impression. Without a doubt, I would choose to stay here again.

While my overall experience was great, I must mention a couple of minor drawbacks. There was a slight issue of mold in the bathroom, although the high ceiling helped to mitigate its visibility. Additionally, the sounds from the street could be a bit loud at times. However, after a full day of exploring the vibrant city, we were so exhausted that we quickly fell into a deep sleep, unaffected by the outside noise. These minor inconveniences did not significantly impact our enjoyable stay.
