The hotel had a prefect loacation and was very friendly. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. The wifi was fast and reliable. The location is perfect for all sights of the city!

In 13 days my room was only cleaned 3 times (yes we had the do not disturb sign out in the morning, but always left two hours before the cleaning time ended acording to the sign in the hotel). Reading other reviews about it I came prepared and cleaned myself.

Great hotel the rooms were very large, clean & tidy and beds were very comfortable. Wi-fi was free & very good connection. The hotel itself was central to all major parts of intrest in istanbul but you would need to access the hotel itself by tram (T1 tram service Tophane tram stop) which is very easy to navigate if you buy Istanbul Kart & top up as you go. Obviously you can also get there by Taxi no problem if you prefer. The reception desk was manned 24/7 & i found the staff friendly & very informative on anything you might need to know such as Tours, Transport etc.

There is some steep steps to access the hotel from the main road near the tram stop but you can also walk or get taxi right outside the hotel main entrance but it means having to navigate a few back streets. Expect a bit of noise from traffic & call to prayer which is normal in a Islamic countrty also it is close to Istanbul cruise ship port which you can actually see from the main road you can expect to hear the cruise ships blasting their horns before setting sail but i found it was in day time mainly.

Hotel is located on the perfect spot, calm in the evening, close to one of the main streets. You have a lot of options in the nearby for food, markets, and tram station is very close. Hotel is clean, and stuff is very friendly and helpful. We have had help with airport transfer both ways, since our flight was during night. I would recommend taking airport shuttle with the hotel help.

The only thing we didn't like is that we have had problem with hot water in the evening, but as soon as we spoke with reception about problem, it was solved. And rest of the stay was perfect.

It was a very comfortable stay. The room and facilities were excellent. The manager was extremely helpful in sorting out some problems with a car repair, and found us alternative accommodation when we had to stay an extra night and the hotel was full.

The hotel location is excellent in terms of closeness to interestng places to visit, but a bit tricky in terms of vehicle access. We also had to ask for clean towels and waste removal on one day.

The size of the room was massive, big bed. Staff was fairly helpful, room was cleaned everyday

Bathroom needs more light, maintenance and some renovation

The location is great. Walking distance from the historic places. The staff were very helpful. The room was clean and were being cleaned every day. Bottled water was provided. Having air conditioning and lift was helpful. I booked a room with no kitchen and they kindly gave us a room with balcony and kitchen. I was overcharged by booking.com but very happy with the room itself and would like to go back.

The room doesn't have a microwave and toaster. The shower door was broken and the Aircon wasn't working in the first few days.

I had initially booked an AirBnB apartment, but that turned out to be a disaster and I had to leave on the second day. I had to find another accommodation real quick and I chose Galata World Hotel because of their price and location. The staff was so welcoming and understanding that they let us check in extra early so we could take showers, because that was not possible in the AirBnB apartment. The hotel is clean, the rooms are clean and very big. I have stayed in others hotels with room for 3-4 people, but it was always quite cramped. The rooms here are spacious. There's a kitchenette with a fridge and a table if you want to eat in the room. There are supermarkets nearby where you can stock up on groceries. But if you like to eat outside, there are enough restaurants and cafe's around. It's situated in Karaköy, which has been become very lively with the opening of Galataport and other boutique hotels and trendy restaurants in the area. The hotel is right across from the tram and it's easy to travel everywhere with public transportation. It's not a very big hotel, so there aren't a lot of guests and it's very quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It was not a planned booking, but I loved staying here and would seriously consider staying here again.

I had nothing to disapprove of personally, but the hotel is a on a slope. From the main road, you can walk through stairs to the hotel, or take a bit of a detour and walk round the other buildings.This might make it difficult for guests in wheelchairs or people who are not very mobile, so that's something to take into consideration. It's not the fault of the hotel, it's just what it is with where it's located.

Safe area for a lone female traveller. Loved my stay here, staff very friendly. Amazing location just 10 minute walk to Galata Tower, 15 minute walk to the Galatport with all new restaurants cafes & retail shops. 20 minute walk down to the port to get local ferries across the water. All around the hotel there is cafes restaurants. Wfi worked great. Housekeeping in everyday. Loved my stay here. ❤️

Bath tub water drains poorly needs unblocking

The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a terrace, which we were not expecting! Very quiet and near the transports and very good areas, we mostly walked, but we can get transports to everywhere nearby. The night receptionist was very nice, we had some nice chats with him! Would definitely come back and stay there! Overall a great experience!

The bathtub was clogged up, but that’s probably easy to fix!
