The hotel is 100/100. There were 3 of us, took Triple room with a balcony. Great location, close to the bridge, all the sights are within walking distance. There are good restaurants, cafes and coffee shops nearby. The rooms are standard size for Istanbul. They also have cute French-style balconies. The hotel is quite new, so the rooms are fresh and clean. Comfortable beds and several pillows, good water pressure. Beautiful design. Of course, I would like to express special thanks to the staff, who were very responsive, friendly, polite and competent. They helped with all questions, including organizing a birthday. Special thanks to Adam, Joseph and Mohammed. The impressions from staying in this hotel are the best. The quality is much higher than the price. Thank you very much. We recommend!

The room was spacious, beautiful and clean! Plenty of room, for the bonus price it was well worth the money. The staff were very friendly, helped me carry my heavy suitcase down and up the stairs!

The room was in the basement, which was not clear from the announcement. The most disappointing thing was the lack of any! Window!, not even a small opening. There was a vent-like thing going up where a window would be, which made me feel quite claustrophobic, and wonder where I would go in an emergency. Also the lack of window means no sense of light and dark outside the room, which was a bit disorienting. I think if the listing was clearer that this not only is NOT the room with the balcony shown in the picture, but doesn’t even have a window, I would not be so disappointed and prepare myself… as it was though, it felt a bit dishonest.

First, I want to thank the staff for their hospitality and dedication to help us make our stay the best possible. Everything was great, from the location of the hotel, which is in the center of Instabul, at walking distance of mostly major city attractions. The hotel room itself was very nice and clean.

Very friendly and helpful English-speaking staff at the 24hr reception. The room we had seemed recently refurbished and it was very comfortable, air conditioned and well serviced by housekeeping every day. Perhaps it might be seen as small, as is the hotel building, but it served us well for our three day exploration of Istanbul. It had a good-sized double bed (comfy), tea/coffee making facilities, en suite with good shower, TV, and an openable full depth door to a mini balcony, if you prefer fresh air. The hotel is only five minutes walk from Galataport and the T1 tram. The latter takes you very cheaply to several important historical sites in a matter of 10 minutes or so, as well as ferries for the Asian side. Less than five minutes in the other direction, and the tram reaches its terminus; just a few minutes walk from small ship cruises on the Bosphorus. The hotel offers a private transfer service to/from IST, the new main airport, for 50 Euros. For returning to the airport with a 5am start, we asked reception to book a yellow taxi with the price quoted in advance and payable by card . That cost 1,100 lira (we use Revolut, so no exchange charges on it or similar cards, note that AMEX is only rarely accepted in the city), about £28 Sterling at the time and was perfectly fit for purpose and good value. We arrived at IST from London in the early hours of the morning and booked an hotel near the airport before proceeding to the city later in the morning (unnecessary, as the Galata Master, also known as Galata Masterpiece, has that 24hr reception). Of course, Istanbul is a hilly city and those can be steep, worth remembering when going upwards from the hotel to seek out one of the many cafes and restaurants in the immediate area or if walking with heavy luggage. Overall, a great base for city explorers but, depending upon your view of these things, perhaps not your first choice for a romantic bolthole with all the 'trimmings'.

There are very few down sides, in our opinion. Worth noting, though, that the immediate surroundings, only the first few metres of properties outside the hotel, are a little dilapidated. It won't bother many travellers (one person's 'down market' is another person's 'charming authenticity') and it's as safe as anywhere else at night (perhaps more so, compared to London, New York, Paris....). Just don't expect Park Lane on the doorstep. There are no stunning city views from the hotel.

The hotel stands in a quiet area without parties and noise from cars. Down the street is tramway station and an embankment, nearby there’re coffee shops and restaurants with local, Lebanese and European food. In 10 minuets up the street is located Istiklal, so the location is pretty good. Read the description of an apartment you’re going to book closely, because they have rooms in a basement without windows. Rooms itself are nice and comfortable and cleaning is made every 2 days. Guys on the reception are friendly and always willing to help with anything.

Our first room was in a basement and we didn’t notice that until arrived at the hotel. The air was wet and has the smell of sewer. It’s not a big deal though if you’re staying for one or two nights, because anything else is good.

During my stay at Galata Master Hotel in Istanbul last month with my friend, we had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome. They were incredibly lovely, helpful, and always willing to assist with a smile, which made our trip even more enjoyable. The hotel’s location is perfect—just a short walk from Galata Tower, Istiklal Street, and the waterfront, making it super easy to explore the city. Our room was clean, comfortable, and modern, providing the perfect space to relax after a day of sightseeing. If you’re visiting Istanbul, I highly recommend staying at Galata Master Hotel—not just for its great location and amenities but for the wonderful people who make the experience so special. I’d definitely stay here again!

Friendliest and kindest stuff ever!

Thin walls & small bathroom for bigger people but everything clean and new

Location: This hotel is ideally located for a tourist trip to enjoy everything Istanbul has to offer. It sits on a quiet street in Galata, at a walking distance from the Galata tower, the main shopping street (Istiklal) and just a short walk from the Galata Bridge and the Hagia Sofia/Blue Mosque/Top Kapi/Basilica Cisterna area. For someone who enjoys walking, it does offer walkable distances if you do not want to use public transport. The hotel is located nearby Tophane Station, offering connectivity with the city's public transport. Plus its close by the tram station so you won't have to struggle with your suitcases once you arrive from the airport. Also, nearby the hotel (at a minutes distance) there's options for breakfast and dinner, should you need sth but are too lazy to wander far from your close room Room: Our room was a lovely double bed with balcony, one that matched the pictures on the platform. Beds were comfortable (couch as well) and the room felt spacious and modern! Bathroom was spacious and the choice of colors/furniture gave it a more luxurious feel. It was thoroughly cleaned as well! Other comments: Staff were eager to please us and exceeded our expectations! They were friendly and genuinely interested about our wellbeing throughout the stay! Also, we belive that the hotel is reasonably priced and we highly recommend it for other guests!

The staff is wonderful. Good people and very caring people. They made me feel like family during my stay. I had an emergency and had to find a hotel quickly. The quality, location and price were fine. I was only staying for one night. But surprisingly the staff and the cleanliness of the rooms surprised me so much that I decided to stay 4 nights. It's not so easy to find people this good when you travel. I will go to this hotel again and again a thousand times. I wish you all the luck. You deserve it.
