A very comfortable place to stay that is fantastically located, good value for money, and excellently run. The hotel is in the middle of a lively area of bars and restaurants, a few minutes walk to the waterfront and Gelata Bridge, 15 minutes upto the tower and 3 minutes from the T1 tram which gets you to all the tourist sites in 10 minutes (or a pleasant 30 minute walk). The 2 owners, Tayfur and Omer, deserve every success. Tayfur, in particular, did everything in his power to make our stay memorable. A really good experience for a mid-60s aussie couple, travelling with their adult son and partner. Just one spoiler alert. The hotel is on 4 floors, with no lifts- so that might be a problem for some (although Tofur and Omer will insist, anyway, on carrying your bags up and down the stairs!). Highly recommended!

Customer care is at the forefront of the experience at Casa Rosa. Tayfur was always quick to respond to any questions and met us in person when we checked in. We shared a cup of tea and chatted about life before he gave us a quick tour of the area. He provided us with lots of local suggestions, which were very useful. If we needed anything he was only a whatsapp message away. The location of the hotel is in a vibrant neighborhood and close to lots of bars and restaurants. Public transport is a breeze from here, and it is a short walk to many sites and attractions. However, this does mean that it can remain noisy outside late into the evening. For our room, Tayfur upgraded us to the three person room so that we would have a bit more space. The beds were comfy and long enough for us (we're both over 182cm/6' tall). The sheets and linens all seemed of good quality. The room was very clean. As some have mentioned in other reviews the bathroom is quite small. Also, the room would benefit from darker curtains as the light from the cafe below remain on until after 23:00 and the curtains do little to stop the light. If I made one change to the property it would be to improve the curtains. We enjoyed our stay and it is clear that Tayfur really cares about his guests and about them having a great time visting Karakoy and Istanbul. If you'd like to stay in a vibrant neighborhood with plenty of places to eat and drink, and easy access to public transport, where the host really cares for his guests then this is the place for you.

I do think improving the curtains to make the rooms darker at night would really improve the experience for guests.

Our stay was amazing. It is a small boutique stay. The co-owners are extremely nice and helpful. Right from guiding us on how to reach the hotel from the airport until we checked out and left for the airport. Special thanks to Tayfur who was an amazing host. He made us feel like home as soon as we checked in and was also our local guide in Istanbul. He recommended us for vegetarian food places, local markets, local shops, local transport and everything else for what we needed. The rooms are small and cozy but clean and neat. The washroom had all the toiletries. It has Airbnb vibe. Also, accessibility from the hotel to all public transport is great. I would totally recommend it for couples and solo travelers.

It does not have a lift. But no worries, the host and staff will help you out with the luggage.

Not a big but a cozy room with amenities - mini fridge to keep things cool, AC, kettle, smart tv and a table. I think I enjoyed it more than some bigger rooms in other hotels. Very good location close to centre, with cafes and restaurants all around, close to busses, ferries, trams. Tayfur is a lovely host who will try to help with anything and also will give good recommendations for restaurants, etc.

The location can be little bit noisy at night. The bed in our room was short for me (I'm 190cm). Both things are not that bad but can be off putting for some people.

I stayed at a much pricier boutique hotel at the beginning of my trip, and much preferred Casa Rosa for the location on a charming side street in Karakoy, the view from my top floor room (be prepared for stairs!), and the surprisingly peaceful atmosphere in the heart of Istanbul. This is a budget hotel, but the rooms have style plus extra comforts such as nice toiletries and slippers. What makes this place stand out, though, is the kindness of the owners. Over tea at the cute café downstairs (which opened at 7am), Omer pointed me to great nearby food spots, even advising me on what to order. Staying here made Istanbul feel more inviting and I would definitely return!

There is no front desk, but Omer was very responsive.

The host, Tayfur, was wonderful! He went above and beyond to be welcoming- offering great advice on where to eat and visit. His list of recommendations and texts were super helpful! The room was clean and well renovated. The location was also fantastic - close to places to eat and the tram but also felt like a place people from Istanbul spend time in.

The room (especially the bathroom) is definitely small - which didn't bother me but you should be prepared for not a lot of space.

The owner was incredibly helpful in terms of organising a taxi from the airport, helping us with our bags, recommending things to do and places to eat/drink. The location was excellent with lots of great places to eat nearby. The room was very clean and was a decent size with effective air conditioning.

Completely not the fault of the owner but the guests staying above our room during the later part of our stay were noisy throughout the night which made it hard to sleep. They spoke loudly in the corridors, banged doors and thumped around - not great a 2am... 3am... etc.

Amazing location right in the heart of Kadakoy, but it is still quiet. The host is such a lovely, welcoming and helpful man - he made me feel very welcome and gave lots of recommendations! The bed is comfortable and the room is very clean. There is so much to do in the area, and it is ideally located 15 minutes by tram to the historical district.

I was on the top floor, so it took 4 flights of narrow stairs to reach my room. There was sometimes a smell of cigarette smoke coming from the vent in the bathroom, but this didn’t migrate into the room!

The location is exceptional at Casa Rosa Suites, it is 5 min walking distance to the Bosporus River where you can see locals fishing (humans and cats). It is nestled within a network of small streets with cafes, restaurants and near the Galata Tower. The hotel is also super near the famous Karaköy Güllüoğlu baklava store. The service is exceptional. It's a small hotel run by a few people, Omer and Tayfur were always available on whatsapp to support me. I arrived late (at midnight) and needed help with luggage to my floor and Omer turned up to help drag my heavy suitcases up. (Super appreciative of this, especially I'm a solo female traveller who probably bought one too many souvenirs).

No fault of the hotel, but it is a walk up hotel to the different floors, but with help from the hotel owners, it wasn't a big deal.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Rosa Suites. The location was absolutely perfect, right in the heart of Karakoy with easy access to every major attraction. The facility was spotless and impeccably clean. What really made a difference were the people behind it! Tayfur and Omër made us feel welcome from the get go and they guided us through everything. They were amazing!
