-The room was really cosy, nicely decorated, and very quiet (we were not facing the street hopefully). -The staff was very friendly, and we liked having bottles of water, tea bags, refilled everyday in the bedroom. This is the kind of attention to details that makes the hotel stand out from others. -Special mention to the traditional turkish breakfast served everyday. Really delicious, and we're generally quite picky about it. -The hotel is located very close to one of the best baklava coffee shop in Istanbul "Karakoy Gulluoglu", really worth visiting. -Also in general, the hotel is just beautiful looking...the tiles, wooden floor, furniture, this is really nicely done, more like a boutique hotel.

Nothing in particular. Everything went great... we could have had a different experience, would the room had been on the busy side of the street, which wasn't the case, lucky for us. Folks need to be aware that street is really busy during the nights though, loud music playing, etc.

We recently stayed at the Royal Tophane Hotel and were very pleased with our choice. This hotel provided us with a comfortable and pleasant stay, and here’s why: Excellent Location in Karaköy The hotel is located in the heart of Karaköy, making it an excellent choice for tourists who want to explore Istanbul. This area combines historic buildings with modern cafes and restaurants. We were able to easily reach popular attractions like the Galata Tower, Bosphorus Bridge, and Galata Bridge, as well as enjoy walks along the waterfront. In the evening, Karaköy turns into a nightlife hub with numerous bars and restaurants, which made our stay even more exciting. Cozy and Spacious Room The room at the hotel was spacious and cozy, with a modern design. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay: a comfortable bed, air conditioning, a TV, and a minibar. We really appreciated the cleanliness and order, as well as the cozy atmosphere that allowed us to relax after a busy day. Friendly Staff and Additional Services The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and professional. We felt cared for and appreciated every step of the way, which made our experience even more enjoyable. It was especially nice that they offered additional services such as transfers or transportation rentals to make our stay even more convenient. Atmosphere and Activity in the Area One of the best features was the fact that the hotel is located in such a lively area like Karaköy. There is always something happening here: many cafes, restaurants, and boutiques on the streets. We enjoyed walking through the local streets and, of course, the vibrant nightlife in the bars. We particularly loved the evening atmosphere when the streets were filled with music and laughter.

A Small Downside – Breakfast Coffee The only downside was the coffee that was served from the machine at breakfast. We expected a better-quality drink, as the hotel offered excellent service overall. Although the breakfast itself was quite diverse, the coffee left a poor impression – it was quite weak and not very tasty.

Recently I had such a wonderful stay at Royal Tophane, so that I immediately booked another stay for my family at this hotel within ten days. We have got a more quiet family room on the top floor. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed including tea/coffee facilities, bottled water, strong WiFi signal and AC. Breakfast was fresh and tasty with a great variety of local Turkish delicacies, served in a very cozy area. All the personnel were very friendly, attentive and effective - Thank you so much, once again, Mahmut and Cabir, for taking so good care of us! I would definitely stay here again, and I am already awaiting my next visit to Istanbul!

I recently had a very pleasant stay at the Royal Tophane Hotel in one of the most stylish districts of Istanbul. The location was excellent, within walking distance of many key attractions like Galata Tower and the Bosphorus, as well as the trendy district of Galataport with the cruise terminal. The rooms were very clean and modern, with elegant décor and comfy beds. The staff was friendly and welcoming, offering great local tips. My very special thanks to Mahmut who was very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and tasty with a lot of local Turkish dishes, served in a cozy breakfast area. Overall, it's a great option for travelers looking for a well-located and reasonably priced boutique hotel in the very heart of the city. I am already looking forward to my next stay!

I really enjoyed this hotel and its location — very convenient. We were traveling on a cruise, and it was perfectly located near the cruise ship boarding area, which made everything so easy. There are many cafes and restaurants around, and the nightlife is lively and vibrant. We found plenty of delicious places to eat at reasonable prices. I especially appreciated the hotel staff — thank you so much for your attentive and caring attitude. Special thanks to Cabir, who was extremely attentive, helped us with our luggage, recommended great places to eat, and was always polite and friendly. The rooms are very clean, and the towels were wonderful, fresh, and perfectly white. Everything was excellent. I also loved that, despite being in such a busy and lively area, this hotel offers spacious rooms — we stayed in a 30 m² room, which is rare for the center of Istanbul. For this area, it felt very roomy. Thank you very much for my wonderful stay!

The location is incredible, with multiple bars and restaurants right outside. Super safe. Staff changed our towels and sheets every single day, and absolutely no qualms on cleanliness. Breakfast was small but really interesting, with various local delicacies.

There's a bar right outside that plays music until pretty late (Berlin), which might be a bother especially in some rooms. Also, we had to be careful with water in the bathroom otherwise it might slightly flood and stay wet.

The room was very comfortable and clean, big bathroom, and even though the hotel is in a busy street, it was very quiet in our room. The staff was always helpful, and arranged the taxis for us, Location is good if you're looking for some night life (drinks and also good food), and can easily go to city centre by Tram T1.

Wi-Fi was always out during the night. Breakfast was good, but could have had better variety, and the breakfast room was a bit stuffy. Cars/Taxi cannot stop you in front of the hotel. It wasn't a big issue for us but when we left it was raining so it may be an inconvenience to some people.

I asked for a quiet room and the staff was very helpful to accommodate this request. The rooms are spacious with lots of natural light. Great bed. Great location, right on a busy street with lots of bars and restaurants. Very close to the waterfront of Galataport.

Twice there was no water, which is probably not the hotel's fault but it was not comfortable. If your room is at the front, expect noise from the street. The AC was not working and despite reporting it, it was not fixed.

The Location was ideal and the room great! Close to everything, cafe, restaurants, pastry shops, night life, tram station, hammam, Galata port+tower. We were never bored or tired from long distances. Also the staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. Many thanks to Berat, the night shift, for giving us so many tips and our fist Salep! The rooms were beautiful, cozy, warm, comfortable and the hotel nicely renovated.

We had a mishap with the bathroom drain, which did not drain the water down, as well as a bit of a bad smell, because our room was facing at the back. There are a few things that need to be fixed (like the bathroom' washstand that was moving all the time) and maybe the breakfast to have more options, but otherwise we were satisfied with our stay.

Location: it's a couple minutes away (walking) from GalataPort and 10 mins from Galatas Tower. There's plenty of restaurants, stores and bars nearby. Room: Big, comfortable, warm. Feels a lil "old" but was really comfortable. Cannot complain about it, really. Breakfast: It was good. The room for guests to have breakfast could be a bit bigger but its good enough.

I expected something more "modern". But that's on me. The place was REALLY good for me to spend a full week on it and no complaints at all.
