This is a very nice hotel located right next to the Galata Port. It’s a great choice for those going on a cruise and needing an overnight stay in Istanbul. The hotel is in a great location, surrounded by charming little streets filled with cafés and bars. It also has its own bar, which opens at 11 AM and stays open until late in the evening.

I would recommend the owners to consider doing some minor cosmetic renovations. The hotel is clean and the staff is excellent, but the need for a bit of touch-up slightly takes away from its overall charm.

The staff of the Wolf Hotel are most friendly and genuinely nice people! They have a beautiful Irish Pub on the ground floor, with live sports on the television. Hotelguests of the Wolf hotel get a 10% discount on their total bill in the pub, they like to take good care of their guests. On the first floor, at the reception, you are able to get free bottles of water for your room. The room we had was spacey and we slept perfectly fine whilst staying there. We spent four nights in a small room on the second floor. The room was very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The small street in front of the building was quite noisy until late, but I used ear plugs and it was fine. The location is very convenient both for public transportation and for walking. We stayed in this area before and this was the main reason why we chose this place. The beautiful Galataport promenade is very near. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

1) There are no Safe in some rooms. You can ask for a Safe, but it's too small for laptop. Also it's not screwed to a cabinet or wall - anybody can get it and take away!)) 2) There are may be noisy at evening (till midnight). Very loud music around in this area. Ask for a room on the higher floors if you prefer silence. 3) There was a construction work in the building across the street. A bit noisy at morning :) 4) A very small table (if you trying to work on your laptop there).

What i liked most about the hotel was its location. It is very near to Galataport where i wanted to be (just 5 min walk) and it is convenient to get to/from the airport to the hotel using the public transport in just 1.5 hours! The tram station Tophane is just 5 min walk even with a suitcase. The overall area seems to be very safe, offering a lot of dining options. When it comes to the staff, they were more than helpful with whatever assistance i needed. I needed to checkout at 8 am (breakfast starts at 08.30 there), and they prepared a very tasty sandwich for me without my reminding on it - it was so thoughtful and kind! The breakfast itself was simple: an omelette, 2 cuts of different cheeses, a slice of cucumber and tomato, some olives, 2-3 pieces of bread, butter, honey and jam. But it will help you to get a start into the new day before setting off to explore the city! The room itself was nice (large and clean, though the wall near the bed was a bit scratched with dark lines left from previous uncareful guests), rooms were cleaned daily. However, i need to mention that my room did not have a view (it had a window but you can see an office building just in front of it). The bed was comfortable, the linen - good. The bathroom was large enough, offered a shower with a good water pressure, the hot water was really hot. There were small bottles of shampoo and shower gel; towels were exchanged daily. I really liked my stay and booked the hotel again for my next trip!

Excellent location, close to sights, bars, grocery store and bus, tram, metro stops. Served breakfast. Spacious, bright room, clean on arrival. Friendly staff ready to help. The hotel has an elevator, which often breaks down, but the employees try to fix it as soon as possible. The description of the room says that it is soundproof, which is not true, you can hear everything from the next room. Otherwise it wasn't that annoying for me. The higher rating is mainly due to the location and friendly staff.

Since breakfast is served, it could be a little more varied; every day there was butter, honey, chocolate spread, bread, tomatoes, cheese, olives, a boiled egg (once an omelette). In the case of a longer stay, you get tired of it. One of the many delicacies of Turkish cuisine could be included, such as menemen, gözleme, börek... The premises could be better maintained, renovations are needed. Cleaning could be better, it's too superficially also it wasn't every day. Still, it didn't spoil my vacation, anyway, I spent most of the time sightseeing, the location really outweighs it :)

I have been staying at the hotel many times already when i need to make a stopover in Istanbul between my flights - the hotel location is perfect for it: right between IST and SAW airports (1.5 hours by public transport from/to any of them), just 5 min walk from Tophane tram station, and right in Galataport (max 5 min walk) which offers a great opportunity to relax between flights walking along the sea port and having a nice meal at one of its many restaurants + you can buy tasty souvenirs. Besides, i like the hotel staff a lot: they are very welcoming, friendly, always ready to help if any issue, or offer their advice or recommendation. This time i arrived very early and they even offered me an early check-in for free! The hotel itself is not a big one (3 floors, 3 rooms each), it is family-run, i guess. There is an elevator and the stairs. The room was nice and spacious enough, cleaning was done every day. Not many rooms offer a street view (some overlook an office building), but that has never been a problem for me as i was there only to sleep, and rest of the time - in the port or in the city). The windows were soundproof, you do not hear any noise from the street if they are shut. The room had a good air conditioning. The bed was very comfortable, it had good linnen and a comfy pillow. The room also had an armchair, a small table, a mirror, a wardrobe and a small fridge. The shower was also spacious, the water was really hot and had a very good pressure. There were towels and toiletry available (a soup, a shampoo and a shower gel). The room rate includes breakfast, which is not big, but is enough to start your day (tea/coffee, a boiled egg or an omelette, a slice of sausage, a few slices of cheese, a bit of tomatoes, cucumbers and olives, bread, butter, jam, honey, nutella, a small local cookie - i think that is all). I really enjoyed all of my stays there and definitely will be coming again!

This was my 2nd stay at the hotel. i needed to make a stopover between my flights again and decided to stay there. As before, i liked the great staff the hotel has (very freindly and helpful) and its very convenient location (it takes 1.5 hours to get there by metro+bus+tram from both SAW and IST airports as it is located just 4 minutes from the Tophane tram/bus stop). Besides, it takes only 5 walking minutes to get to Galataport and enjoy a nice meal at one of its great restaurants with a perfect sea view or just go for a walk there. The area where the hotel is located is really nice and safe. The hotel has an elevator, so no problem if you have much luggage. The room i was given was spacious enough, it had a comfortable bed, good linen, nice towels. The room was light and warm, non-smoking, it was cleaned every day, towels were changed. The bathroom was spacious, had a shower with good water pressure, the water was really hot when needed; there was a soap bar, small bottles of shampoo and shower gel. The breakfast was small but it was cooked for you once you come for it (a boiled egg or omelette, 4 slices of cheese and a slice of sausage, olives, nuts, a cup of tea or coffee, a portion of butter, honey, marmalade, slices of bread) but it was enough to start your day. Overall, i had a very nice stay and will book the hotel again when i am in Istanbul next time!

Well, you should bear in mind that it is still not a 4-star hotel, so the overall facilities are pretty simple and some of the walls had quite a few dark scratches made by previous guests who were not careful with moving their suitcases, i guess, and the door of the shower would not close properly, but these are minor things, and taking into account all the other advantages and the price per night, i still highly recommend this hotel!

The location is perfect. The room is small but comfy and clean It has everything needed. The receptionist was very very helpful for us to find car parking and all other questions we asked.

Few small thing which might bother someone more. The mosque is so close and goes every morning at 5.50. Even on closed window we heard them and it woke us up. They had just changed the sheets before we arrived, or they were still wet when they placed them because the room smelled a lot like laundry. It took some time to aerate. But when we asked they were very nice, offered to changed them and etc.

Excellent unobtrusive service, regular cleaning, excellent and varied breakfasts in the pub on the ground floor. You can always get free drinking water at the reception. The location is very atmospheric: narrow streets, many bars and cafes, very lively in the evenings. A tram stop and grocery stores are nearby.

A double bed is two single beds pushed together. Inconvenient. If you are used to eating in your room, there will be difficulties: no chairs, no table, no kettle.
