This is a small "boutique hotel" -- a few nice rooms overseen by a manager at the front desk. No breakfast, no exercise room, nothing more than the room itself. Ours was the penthouse -- an exceptional space, newly constructed and perfectly clean, that had a small kitchen, an outdoor deck, and windows on three sides. My wife and I could lie in bed and look across the water to the Asia side. It's perfect for anyone who wants a reasonably priced place in Galata (ie., not the Peninsula or Kempinski) with a Bosphorous view.

As is often the case in Muslim-majority countries, the hotel was not far from a mosque. You might like hearing the daily call to prayer, as I do, but you should know that the Fajr call, around 5:30 am, will be very loud. Ear plugs won't help.

Very new and cozy family-run hotel in the Galata area. I had a wonderful time there. Loved the view from the panoramic room ("Junior Suite" on booking) - waking up to a sunrise view over the Bosporus is priceless. I also really appreciated having a kitchenette, since it was rainy during most of my stay in Istanbul and I didn't really feel like going out for dinner most nights. The room was well equipped and felt like a "home away from home", which was exactly what I had hoped for. Staff is super friendly and helpful, thank you for everything! Would definitely stay here again.

Just some things to know in terms of accessibility (in case you travel with big luggage or have walking impairments): - Don't underestimate the walk from Taksim. Some streets in the Galata area are very steep and sidewalks are narrow. - The hotel elevator goes up to the 4th floor. To get to the panoramic room on 5th floor there is another flight of stairs inside the room. (staff will help with luggage if needed)

Noise from the street even with closed windows is bothering. Also the sounds of the mosque (which clearly is very close) will wake you up at 6.30 every morning. If people are walking in/out other rooms in the corridor at night - you will hear everything.

Hospitality, location and arrangement of accommodation! Upon entering the hotel, you experience the warmth that makes you feel like you are at home. We were accommodated in the Suite Duplex, which offered us everything we needed (two neat bathrooms, equipped kitchen, washing machine, heating and enough space for all three of us). Every day we were greeted by a cleaned room with fresh towels and drinking water. The location of the hotel is just below Istiklal street and only a few minutes from the metro station. At night there is peace, no sounds of the streets are heard. And for the staff ... ALL THE BEST! We have never felt as welcomed as here!

Very nice boutique hotel in the very center. The street is steppy but it is also quite and it easily connects with the upper and lower part of the center. The room was nice with outstanding view. The staff was very kind and helpful.

One evening, and until the morning next day, there was no water in the building: this was due to public works, but a small water reserve could be installed by the hotel to avoid water issues. My suite with view was very nice but in the warm summer days it was very hot. Airco worked well, but it had to be on at max all day to balancing the heat, which was not ideal. The lock of the door to the nice terrace should be repaired as it is not easily lockbale.

We had a great 4-night stay at Casa Galata 35's Junior Suite. From the start, our host provided all the needed information on WhatsApp and quickly answered all our questions on the Booking.com chat. The apartment's location is superb, close to many popular spots like İstiklal Avenue, Galata Bridge, and Taksim Square. The vibrant street they reside on brims with charming boutiques. Despite arriving late at night, a helpful administrator was there to assist with our luggage and introduce us to our room. While the suite itself isn't vast, it is modern, serene, and furnished with everything one might need: from ironing amenities and a fridge to a dining table, washing machine, TV, safe, AC, and more. The shower was spotless and stocked with essentials, and the two terraces with a fabulous view. Simply priceless. The staff went above and beyond to enhance our stay. If we needed anything, the staff on the ground floor were quick to help. For example, we got a wine opener just 5 minutes after asking. Their attention to detail, from preemptively calling the elevator when they saw us approaching, to their genuine interest in our day, made us feel valued and cared for. Their consistent smiles and readiness to assist – whether it was helping with our luggage or inquiring about our day – were commendable. To top it all off, our checkout was graced with a touching gesture: a handwritten letter dedicated to us, accompanied by a surprise gift. We were truly moved by this unexpected token of appreciation. In short, we really enjoyed our time at Casa Galata 35. If you're looking for a comfortable place with good service, this is it.

Being in the heart of a tourist hotspot meant that evenings were accompanied by the distant chatter of passersby and the occasional cry of seagulls, thanks to the proximity to the sea. Additionally, the nearby minaret added an authentic touch to our stay, as we heard the melodic Muslim call to prayer (adhan) at various times of the day. It quickly became a comforting background to our experience. Admittedly, the street it's on is steep, but that's because it's in a hilly area. This height gave us a fantastic view of the Bosphorus from our 5th-floor room.

The roof top room was a suite with kitchen and 2 balcony with Unique view. The managers Nazli and Hakan was the power point of this hotel. They are very kind, polite and friendly.

I had an amazing stay at Casa Galata 35 in Istanbul! The location was perfect for me.. just a short walk to Galata Tower and Istiklal Street, with plenty of shops and local charm nearby. The slopes in the area can be a bit steep, but I personally didn’t mind at all. It was great exercise and part of the local experience! What truly made my stay special was the incredible staff. I loved, loved the team here! Everyone was so warm and welcoming. A special thank you to Nazle at the day reception.. she’s incredibly kind, patient, and always went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. And Hakan at the night reception was just as helpful and friendly. They helped me with early check-in (which I was so grateful for after a long, tiring journey) and even stored my luggage before check-in and after check-out. Thank you again, Nazle and Hakan! Housekeeping was also excellent. My room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels, bottled water, and toilet paper provided every day. The room itself was big enough for me and had everything I needed: a comfortable bed, working AC, and hot water in the shower. This hotel offers great value for money and is such a cozy place to stay, especially if you’re a cat lover and enjoy exploring local boutiques and charming side streets. It’s close to many of Istanbul’s top attractions which makes it an ideal base for exploring the city. Would 100% come back again. Casa Galata 35, you truly deserve 5 stars!

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the incredibly kind and attentive owner, who made us feel like we were visiting an old friend rather than checking into a hotel. The atmosphere of Casa Galata 35 is charming, cozy, and full of character — a perfect blend of comfort and authentic Istanbul flair. The location is fantastic, tucked away in a quiet street just minutes from the vibrant heart of the city. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully arranged for a relaxing stay.

This property is a boutique hotel with close proximity to Istiklal street and Galata Tower. Very well appointed and have everything you need to make your stay comfortable. It is a 2 level unit with a washer, hot water kettle, 2 full bathrooms, 2 TVs, great wifi connection and an outdoor seating. I nice property indeed!

The 2 things that I wish I was able to change; 1. the people above our room were making a lot of noise just by walking on the floor. Sound proofing and floor insulation is not appropriate for a hotel. 2. The exterior seating area is actually in a shaft with concrete surrounding, building walls. Keeps sun away and natural light to a minimum. I would choose higher floors with obviously higher pricing, I assume.
