The quality/price ratio is very good. We booked with payment in advance therefore a smaller price. Everything is clean, the staff is very nice and helpful. At the last floor they have a glass terrace where you can work on the laptop while enjoying a wonderful view. They also have a package with breakfast until 10:30AM which is a really nice touch. We enjoyed also the spa which consists of hammam, steam Room and dry sauna.

Great location in the old city, easy walk to the great Mosques and good dining locations nearby. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast with a rooftop view of the Mosques and Asia across the river.

This review is for the entire group, 5 people in 3 rooms, 6 days. Overall experience was good, the location is very close to the historic centre. The restaurant was clean, the food was good. Room 403 was cleaned daily, it was ok. The only inconvenience was that every day they left the window open wide, and in the evening when we got to the room it was very cold. I notified two employees, then at the reception to stop leaving the window open, but nothing has changed.

About room 102, they did not clean for three days, did not change towels, etc. About room 104, they did not clean for two days. In addition, on the first floor, you could hear loud noise from downstairs in the reception hall, they were laughing loudly until 3 in the morning. I notified the reception, they said they would check, but no action was taken.

Hotel interior is nice and modern. Staff were really helpful during our stay, rooms have all the necessities. View from the 5th floor (where breakfast served) is really good! The hotel is around 15 min walk to the grand bazaar as well as the blue mosque. A number of options for food close by which are very reasonably priced. I would recommend this hotel for your trip to Istanbul, we had a pleasant stay overall!

Breakfast selection could be better & in many aspects quite limited. There is no toast available and the egg options are random dependent on the day i.e. one day there was fried egg, one day mixed egg with spinach (?), one day mixed egg with tomato (?). Would be better if a simple fried egg was always available with maybe a second dish with a varying option by day. There wasn’t much variety over the course of the week in general, but it still did the job.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was just big enough and had a small balcony, there was a fridge and we got fresh bottles of water every day. Shower was good and the room was cleaned every day. Good breakfast with excellent staff in the roof restaurant. Good communication in English.

The mattress was on the hard side, but that's just my pampered flesh... The drains reek despite the bleach that the cleaners put down, but hey, we came because Istanbul is old... I thought it was good for the price, until I discovered that better-looking hotels in the area were cheaper, at least if booked last-minute... The trek up to the tram - well, it's steep, but maybe 10 days of this exercise was actually good for our hearts :)

We stayed at Costera Hotel from 5–10 August as a family of 8 (6 adults and 2 children), and everything was excellent. The hotel arranged all our rooms on the same floor, which was very convenient for us as a family. The reception team was extremely friendly and always ready to help, making us feel welcome from the first moment. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and breakfast was varied and tasty with plenty of options for both adults and kids. The location is fantastic – just a short walk to Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar, and many other attractions, yet quiet enough to relax after a long day. The rooftop terrace with its view was a lovely place to unwind. This hotel is truly family-friendly, offering great value, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere. We would definitely return and recommend Costera Hotel to other families visiting Istanbul!

Street outside can be busy at times, though the hotel itself is quiet.

The hotel has a recently modernised feel. Rooms were spotlessly clean, with towels and bottled water replaced daily, comfortable beds, aircon, tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, and a decent hairdryer. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a 24 hour reception. Great location for exploring Istanbul by foot - c 15 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia etc. (there are hills, but Istanbul is built on hills, so be prepared wherever you stay!) Lots of casual local restaurants nearby (we nearly missed the ones c200m to the left of the hotel entrance until the end of our stay!) Fantastic value for a holiday stay

Breakfast options somewhat limited (but the view at breakfast was great!) Just a heads up that the rooms are not suitable for working - no desk or chair etc, and hotel has no private work areas (but very happy with the room otherwise, and value for money)

Staff was super kind and welcoming. Teşekkürler to the gentleman who welcomed us upon arrival – very warm and friendly. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of options to choose from, and the view of the city from the 5th floor made it even better. The location is great – close to Sultanahmet and many of the main historical sights. We recommend choosing a room with a balcony – it was a lovely touch. Also, the air conditioning in the room worked perfectly, which was much appreciated in the summer heat.

There were a few small things in the bathroom, such as slightly low water pressure in the shower – nothing serious, just something to be aware of. Also, be prepared for the possibility of waking up around 4:00–5:00 AM, as the prayer speakers from nearby mosques can be quite loud. Of course, this depends on how tired you are and how well you usually sleep, but it’s good to know in advance – and that’s said with full respect to local traditions and culture.

A nice little hotel located in southern Istanbul. The room was very small, but it was clean and freshly renovated. Very comfortable bed. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace was fantastic. Location wise, it wasn’t great but you could still walk to the famous mosques and grand bazaar within 15 minutes. There is a tram stop about a 10 minute walk away that will take you to eminonu where you can then get a ferry to the Asian side of Istanbul, or another tram or metro to the northern side of Istanbul where Galata tower is and many other spots worth visiting (I found the northern side more interesting). Overall the hotel is good value for money.

1. Amazing price; 2. Modern, clean, comfortable; 3. The size of the room was adequate; 4. The breakfast place had great views and was comfortable; 5. Helpful personnel; 6. Quite a few small shops and restaurants nearby; and many other things. Highly recommend!

There are a couple of things that might be considered a negative, but they are so minor that I wouldn't even count them as full-on negatives: 1. the walls were a bit thin, but not to the level that it would bother too much; 2. the elevator had only one "call" button, so it did create a few situations where you want to go down, but it goes up due to other people calling it.
