Quiet zone, staffs were friendly but unfortunately one of the staff who handled me for checked in was not speak English so she didn’t mention of breakfast time and where and I lost my 2 days breakfast.

The location is not too far from Tram station but you need more effort and energy when going from property to the tram station with uphill roads about 10 minutes.

Booked this place for 8 days and Amazing property. Great Ambience. The people are very accommodating, helpful and polite. The location is also nice. Tram station is 10 min away. Sulatanahmet is 20 min walk away. Bus stand is 4 min walk away. We got a late check out by 2 hrs and also stayed in the lounge area till our 9 o clock bus. we booked the balcony room and two of us stayed comfortably. There is a great coffee shop just 100 m away and you will find budgeted restaurants if you walk away from the tourist side. There is a market for localites nearby so you can get things at the original prices not the tourist prices.

One thing is at the time of our stay the kitchen was closed. No complaints though. We loved the place and would love to stay there again if we get a chance to visit again.

I absolutely loved my stay, primarily due to its incredibly strategic location. Being so close to major attractions like the Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, and many others made exploring the city a breeze. The proximity to the tram terminal was an added bonus, making it super convenient to get around Istanbul.

Stair Access Only The only significant drawback I encountered was the lack of elevator access to the rooms. For guests who have difficulty with stairs or physical limitations, this could be a real challenge. While it wasn't an issue for me personally, it's definitely something to consider for those who might struggle with multiple flights of stairs. Otherwise, everything else about the stay was great.

Charming house with lots of wood and nicely decorated. Our room was pretty and had everything needed, including toiletry kits, hairdryer etc. There is filtered drinking water provided in the kitchen. The house in Kumkapi neighborhood is well located to visit many sights in Sultanahmet by foot. There are some grocery shops and good South Asian restaurant in the vicinity. Public transport (bus, tram) is a 10 minute walk away.

The glass door to the bathroom made very loud, cracking noises when closing. This was a bit inconvenient, especially at night. The water tap was a bit shakey, but these are minor issues. As it is an old house you could hear people walking the stairs or floors above. If you are very sensitive to noise this might be good to know.

Very clean. Quaint, looks sort of historic. Good security (hotel security door that's always locked plus locks for bedrooms). Located well. Quick walk to bus stop, metro stop and tram stop. 20min walk to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and other major tourist attractions. Hostess was alway available via WhatsApp for assistance. Very friendly service.

Street looks a bit dodgy, but we didn't actually have any problems or ever felt unsafe walking at night. Hotel is lovely but not suitable for people that have problems with stairs.

Loved the local feel, it was safe, staff ready to help and we loved our little room with balcony. 500 year old turkish bath, blue mosque, grand bazaar, spice market and many other attractions in a 5-15 min walk. Shopping and amazing deals alot cheaper than the markets in the area. Grocery store, bakeries and little food shops with fresh fruit close by. Fun to have coffee on the deck in morning and watch the many Istanbul cats below. Belly dancing and local music at restaurants down the street.

No issues at all. If you want a simple clean hotel this place is it!

The Hotelier was so very helpful! She was always there to help for us at any time, late evening or early weekend morning. She did gave us very helpful tips and did not mind any of our questions. It was also cleaned daily.

It is in a very good location, but it will not look like it at the first sight. So don’t get put off. We got the suite and you could hear the outside life, but in comparison with the rest of the city or for example London it was nothing. Tho Turkish like to drive with sound 😛

What a gorgeous little boutique hotel. The owner renovated an old family home and converted it into a handful of rooms which are beautifully decorated. It is an old place with wooden floors and lots of stairs, but it's great if you want somewhere unique. The noise didn't bother us at all. We had the suite on the 3rd floor which also had a balcony to sit and have coffee on in the mornings. Would absolutely recommend booking that room.

The only other staff member we saw, who I believe was the cleaner, wasn't very friendly. Couldn't get a smile or a word out of her the whole time.

My father and I stayed in the rooftop apartment, it was so cute and had incredible views of all the rooftops, a beautiful church, and the ocean 🌊. There was a kitchen with a fridge and cooker, which was really handy to make breakfast and dinner, and to make tea and coffee to sit of the rooftop balcony with! The balcony catch’s the sunrise and has sunshine through almost the entire day, we sat and read our books in the sun, listening to the sounds of the old town bustling. It is very very clean and comfortable, and has everything you need from an ironing board, hairdryer, umbrella, and all kinds of handy cosmetics, shampoo, conditioner, shower gels, soaps, even nail files, and cotton pads for facial cleansing. 20 seconds from the front door and you are in the cobbled streets of the old town with all kinds of restaurants and shops, and we often walked down to the mamara water front which takes about 5 minutes to walk, and is just beautiful, we saw a stalk sunbathing one sunrise, We walked from the hotel to the grand bazaar, Aya Sofia, and Sultanahmet square, and many other local attractions, it is a beautiful walk through cobbled streets and my father who is 74 years old didn’t struggle. The staff very very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to help us with various different requests, they are lovely and welcoming people, we had such a lovely time and were very sad to go home, we are returning to Istanbul in 6 months and we will definitely be staying again, we can wait for you next trip, thank you so much 🌸🪷🙏🏽✨🩵

Absolutely nothing! it was just perfect 👌🏽

It was my first stay in Istanbul, so I cannot compare well, but it was a nice quiet place between old buildings, with lots of places to eat nearby, and not too far from the Yenikapi metro station and sea. I especially recommend if you love birds as I am, because there are cute laughing seagulls on the roofs (best memories). The room was clean and cleaning was done every day. There were towels and bathroom amenities. Also there was heating, which is important if you travel in winter. Staff were friendly and polite, even provided us with a city map, which was handy.

There was some sewerage smell in the bathroom at first. But air deodorant helped.
