My parents and I have never been to Istanbul before. We heard a lot of stories about people being deceived by different apartment hosts, so we were quite worried about booking the apartment. But Emrah was in touch with us from the very beginning and answered all our questions. We felt absolutely safe. He let us leave our luggage at his office early in the morning before the check-in and did the same thing on the last day after check-out time so we could walk without our heavy bags. The apartments are situated close to all the sights. It takes you nearly 15 minutes to get to Sultanahmet square, Grand Bazar or Kennedy avenue. The Yenikapi metro station is also 15 minutes by foot. There are some small supermarkets nearby and a meat store in the Istanbul House building. Also in front of the building was a minaret, but its sound didn't interfere with us at all. We liked this place a lot!

I went with my aged parents and we really loved our stay. The host was Emrah and he helped us soooo much. Whenever we needed something he came and helped. Emrah arranged tours and airport transfers for us. He even washed our clothes for us. The apartment was very clean, there was a separate room for my parents with a double bed. There was another big lounge room with a TV, big sofa, dining table and a bed. The kitchen had a fridge, kettle, cooker with two hobs, microvave and all utensils and pans we may need.

There was no lift, so it may be difficult for disabled people, but even though we were on the second floor it was fine because the stairs were easy to go up for my parents and anyway Emrah offered to give us the lower floor if my parents found it difficult but we were fine being on the second floor.

It is a comfortable homely apartment, the beds especially were very comfy - which were very much needed after long days of sightseeing. Despite some other reviews we had no issues sleeping due to the street noise, with the windows closed it was quite faint despite being a fairly busy area. There were plenty of nice shops and restaurants in the immediate area and it was a short 15 minute walk to the main sights. Emrah is a really kind, accommodating, communicative host - always fast to respond and to help in any way he could.

Our only issue with the apartment was that there is quite a bit of black mould in the bathroom.

This apartment was in a perfect spot — super close to the main markets and tons of restaurants nearby. The staff were really friendly and easy to deal with, and the daily cleaning service was awesome. I’d definitely recommend staying here!

The location was fantastic, and it was well heated. There was enough cutlery and crockery for two and it was all clean. Cleaning services were provided on each day that we requested them. The staff were polite, helpful, and spoke good English. The reception was manned 24/7

Great location - 10-15min walk till grand bazaar and blue mosque. There wasn’t a lot of space, but it was comfy, and well decorated. Owner was supper friendly, helpful and welcoming. He gave us advice and useful information.

Two little things. There was a little bit of mold in bathroom, the bathroom door was hard to open and close. Toilet water reservoir was leaking a bit.

The owner was extremely helpful, polite and hospitable. It was a pleasure to meet him. He helped us to find the right places and booked tour for us. The apartment was clean and cosy for us. 2 adults and 2 kids. We only used for sleeping as we stayed for a flyover, and spent the days to see the main mosques and attractions. We needed a kitchen due to small child so it was helpful to have that. Thank you Emrah for your hospitality, we hope to meet you again.

Although the location is not far from main attraction, it leads to quite a steep walk up when you go. I have a bad hip condition so struggled, should have gotten a taxi!

We loved everything about our stay here. The place was clean, organized, very good value for the money and on top of everything, the owner was super kind & helpful! Main historical attractions are a walking distance and there are amazing restaurants nearby. Enjoyed every moment durint this trip!

Very helpful staff, if u want to ask about or need something, fast responsclose to public transportation and tourists destination like sultanahmed like blue mosque and bagai Sofia The room is clean and u will get mineral water Very recommend for family to stay or solo traveler I would definitely come back to stay here again(this is the best so far since I have been in Istanbul many times)

Basic, but clean, quiet, good air con, hot shower, friendly staff. Walking distance to main sites, plenty of restaurants close buy. Bluebottle best of the bunch.

One mattress (of four, we extended our stay and swapped rooms) was past its best before date and very hard in consequence.
