The breakfast was really tasty and a great variety of options. Family room was big enough for a family of four. Only 10 min walk from tram or 15min walk to the city centre.

You must be aware that it's Not very clean, four star or three star hotel. It's more of the value for money hotel and it was just enough for us. Nothing to complain though better to know in advance.

The hotel is located in a very good area. Everything is in a walking distance and this was perfect. Price was also good. The only thing, the hotel inside is a bit old, but they are repairing it. The stuff was very friendly and attentive.

Amazing spot in Istanbul! Me and my parents were amazed by the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Bedroom was very clean and comfy, breakfast was superb. Cats have been an amazing and never bothering companionship! We recommend staying here to all visitors of Istanbul: you will for sure find a hotel that combines Turkish culture with international and friendly policies of staying, which is perfect to make a true Istanbul experience without missing the feeling of being at home! There is nothing to complain about; spotless experience.

Location is perfect. Close to the metro and sea side, and walking distance from blue mosque, shops, bazaar. Many restaurants literally outside this hotel. Bed was very comfortable. Staff at reception was always helpful and friendly. They arranged a taxi for me to the airport. (no need to deal with scam taxi drivers) Room cleaning is available every day. My room was small but expected for the price I paid. I spent 3 nights at this hotel.

My stay at Castillo Rojo was really a good one. Searching for a decent hotel in the area was quite hard, and this was one that was priced perfectly and looked good. The area the hotel is situated in is absolutley fantastic! You are a 30 second walk from a lot of restaurants that are bustling in the night time. It is also about a 15 minute walk from the blue mosque. To top it off the care and attention I received at this hotel was a 10/10. Especially staff member Soner who really looked after me during my stay and accommodated me so well. The breakfast at the hotel was lovely. Located in the old town, only 10 minute walk to Grand Bazaar and 15 minutes to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels and the staff were very helpful. Lovely breakfast with a huge choice of dishes that changed daily.

The rooms were a little bit dated, but we didn't spend much time in them and they were absolutely fine for our stay. Wi-fi was a bit patchy in the courtyard area but great in the room.
