I don’t even know where to start—our stay at Goji’s Apartments in Istanbul was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, the warmth and hospitality of the family-run establishment made us feel right at home. The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after exploring the city. But the real highlight was the breakfast served at their family restaurant downstairs. It was, without a doubt, the best we had during our entire trip—delicious, authentic, and made with love. The location is also fantastic, situated in the heart of Istanbul’s Fatih district, close to major attractions yet offering a peaceful atmosphere.  If you’re planning a trip to Istanbul, I can’t recommend Goji’s Apartments enough. It’s a hidden gem that offers genuine Turkish hospitality, exceptional comfort, and a culinary experience that will leave you wanting more.

Everything was perfect 👌

The room was on the top floor & had a very nice view, spacey & clean. The staff is very friendly & helpful, it is a family owned business, so I met the owner, probably, his son & mother. It is very touching! They take care of you. They also have a restaurant at the ground floor. The location is good, close to the most attractions but kind of in the depth of the city.

I do not recommend arriving early as there is no actual place to sit, no lounge or reception or storage room for luggage (they kept my stuff at the restaurant which didnt feel secure). It is a tiny hotel above the restaurant, just so you know. I wish I knew that in advance as I arrived at 5 am & had to hang out somewhere for 9 hours after 11h flight. Also there is no elevator so make sure you are able to climb (the staff will help with luggage though)

Loved Goji and his family. They are very friendly and warm and welcoming every morning and provide a traditional Turkish breakfast for you. They can also organise airport transfers if you wish. They are very quick to respond, and it was great that we arrived at 2am (due to flight time) and there were no problems. The service, room and experience is really great value for money. Good location with lots of restaurants and hustle and bustle, but you cannot hear this through the windows so that’s good! About 15 minute walk to grand bazaar, 30 minute to the Bosphorus river, and 1 hour to Taksim square. Tessekuler Ederim!

If you choose to stay at Goji's Apartment, it’s because you want to feel at home even when you’re away. And that’s exactly how it feels here! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is simply perfect—always kind, helpful, and attentive to every need. The breakfast is excellent, with fresh and genuine products that make waking up even more enjoyable. The family-run management truly makes a difference, creating a cozy and relaxing environment. Moreover, the location is ideal for visiting Istanbul, making it easy to reach the city's main attractions. If we ever return to Istanbul, we will definitely stay at Goji's Apartment again!

The best part about Goji's Apartments is the lovely family who runs the place! They were helpful, accomodating, super nice, and made us feel a little like family as well! They also helped us with booking airport transfer, a visit to a hamam, etc. and everything went super smoothly. The Turkish breakfast served every morning is just amazing, you'll be more than full every time you stand up from the table. The location is great - there are cool restaurants and street food vendors nearby, you are in walking distance to major sights and to public transport to take you elsewhere. Our room was also really quiet, even on Saturday night when outside it was super lively and loud at the restaurants until late at night. Room is rather small but not different from what's advertised, we had everything that's needed and everything was clean. Overall, a really good value for money.

Whilst it's definetely really good value for money, the place could definetely use some renovation, e.g. the room could use a paint job, and some electric sockets were falling out, etc. Climbing the stairs up to your room can also be a bit of a challenge if you are not fit. These didn't take away at all from our stay, just leaving it here to manage people's expectations.

Charming staff who were very welcoming, cheerful and kind. We were allowed to leave our luggage after check out. We had an airport pickup arranged. Nothing was too much trouble. Location is great for dining and about 10 minutes walk from the tram stop. We walked almost everywhere from here and though it involves some steep inclines, there is so much more to see and experience on the way to the popular tourist spots in the old town. The rooms must be very well insulated as we didn’t hear much from other guests, and nothing from outside even though it was surrounded by lovely restaurants with tables outside. Rooms are simple but everything works including a great shower & air conditioning. For a budget hotel this was extraordinarily good value.

No lift. Not a problem for us, but be aware of that before you book. This side of town is a longer journey for a taxi from the airport than places near the bridges or the other side. If your stay is very short you might want to stay on the east side.

Hospitable people, we felt like home. Generous and tasty breakfast. Location was decent. Good internet.

Not enough plugs in the room. The curtain lets too much light in, some people may be bothered by it. The water temperature in the shower changes in an unpredictable way and can suddenly get very hot. Also, it can be somewhat loud until midnight or so because of music from the nearby restaurants. This is not the owners' fault, of course, but good to know.

Fantastic location in the city center, among many restaurants with local traditional delicacies and international food at a walking distance from the metro (very convenient access to the Istanbul International Airport and starting point for sightseeing). Spacious, very clean apartment equipped with a free minibar including: water, coffee, tea. Delicious traditional breakfast in the family restaurant which belongs to the same business, located on the ground floor. Very nice, helpful owners. We will definitely come back every time we go to Istanbul. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Great family hotel within walking distance to some of the best Old Town sights. The public transportation is also easy to access from Goji's. The staff is enthusiastic and quick to fulfill any requests you might have. The rooms are comfortable and clean with all the amenities you might need, and the freshly prepared breakfast was a real treat.

While the building is surprisingly well insulated against noises from outside, guests in the other rooms are quite audible and the water heater also was a bit noisy. These were rooms in the back of the building, mind you. Nothing too serious, but light sleepers should be aware.

We were greeted by the hosts in person. They were very friendly and always ready to help us. They even found a good chair for me to use my laptop. The room itself is a bit small, but matches the photos and considering the price it's to be expected. There is a proper table to use laptop (which is a rarity in Istanbul hotels, apparently). There is a small fridge and a kettle with tea/coffee making amenities. Bathroom is pretty large and convenient (shower part is separated from the rest of it). A free breakfast is included in the price which makes it a really good deal. Breakfast was consisting of a few courses and it made us really full. We were offered more of the pastries but couldn't eat anymore unfortunately. Everything was great and fresh. The location is nice - it's within walking distance from the main tourist attractions and if you follow the road in the opposite direction (to the west) you can find lots of cheap shops and restaurants. There's also a restaurant right in the hotel itself that works until 6pm so make sure to come before that time. If you come later and it's already closed - make sure to not eat at the small square nearby as prices there are like 4x of what you'll find on the nearby road I described above. All in all great value for money, definitely recommended!

It was a really long walk upstairs without an elevator - gladly we left most of our luggage in the airport luggage storage and didn't have to take it upstairs. It is mentioned in the hotel description though so we knew that in advance. Restaurants at the nearby square are really overpriced - beware! All of this is not the fault of the hotel itself so I'm not complaining and would definitely stay there again!
