Location is perfect- in the old city, next to the sea, so you do not feel like being in a crowded city. 100m to the restaurants 150 m to a 24h shop with beer and other beverages: Star Bulut 20 min walk to to Blue Moschee Right near bus stop and Marmarai stop. There is a walking bridge aver the road right in front of the hotel, so you can walk on the seashore or use bus transportation in both directions. Eaven if it is close to road and Marmaray - you do not feel it at all. On the roof of the hotel there is a small terrace, where you can stay, have breakfast, dinner etc with a perfect view of the Marmara Sea, Bosphorus, Blue Moschee etc. In a very quiet and comfy atmosphere. Staff is very welcome and reacts to all your needs

Nearly everything about this hotel was excellent! - Upon arrival, the check-in procedure was quick and easy. - The room we had was brilliant. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable. We had a small fridge with a kettle and some complimentary tea and coffee and oh, let's not forget the amazing hot jetted tub! The bathroom was also very nice and clean with good water pressure. - The location of the hotel was excellent. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance (2-3 minutes) and a 15 minute walk to Sultanahmet/Blue mosque. Absolutely brilliant location with no shortage of shops if snacks or food is needed. - Finally, the customer service was top notch. Both receptionists were very helpful and kind (I think one of them was named 'Hakaan'). Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning myself!

The only negative is that the hotel does not serve breakfast or have a restaurant on site.

All the staff were amazing! I cannot forget my stay here. It's something we will never forget. 100% returning back to this hotel if I was to go back to Turkey. All the workers are very helpful, super friendly, hospitality was perfect. When it come to arranging trips around Turkey and exploring places, they helped up out so much, especially if it's worth the price. Breakfast was a hit!!!!

I can tell you nothing was bad about this property, everything was beyond standards. Comfortable and a good area. It does say on internet that their restaurant is closed so they only do breakfast. It's not a complain just a heads up :)).

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment! Everything was exactly as described – clean, modern, and very comfortable. The location is perfect: quiet but still close to everything we needed. The apartment was well-equipped with all the essentials, and the interior design was tasteful and cozy. The host was extremely helpful, responsive, and kind throughout our stay. Communication was smooth, and we really appreciated the flexibility and support we received. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and worry-free stay. We stayed at Nelwalla Hotel in Istanbul twice during our trip. The best part of the stay was definitely the owner and staff—they were extremely helpful and kind. We've travelled quite a bit, and this was probably the most helpful team we've come across. The hotel offers nice breakfast, and there’s a rooftop terrace available for guests with a sea view, which is a pleasant extra. I would recommend arranging airport transfer directly with the hotel, as it’s more reliable, comfortable and avoids the risk of being overcharged by airport taxis. The rooms were clean, with towels, slippers, and some basic toiletries provided. The area has a good number of restaurants, and the walk to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque takes about 20 minutes, including a few uphill sections. We were slightly unsure about the neighborhood at first, but everything turned out fine and the people we met were friendly and very helpful. I think that’s the best thing we will remember from our trip. If we come back to Istanbul, we would definitely consider staying here again.

We were delighted with this hotel, especially the hosts. Although the bed and breakfast option was unavailable when I booked the hotel because the restaurant was being renovated, when we arrived the man at the reception offered us free breakfast every morning. The morning before leaving for the airport we had breakfast at 6 am. The hotel is very close to the Sultanahmet area, and many of the main attractions are within a 15-minute walk. The hotel has a rooftop terrace with a beautiful view. All recommendations, we will definitely come again.

Everything was perfect - it is situated in a neighbourhood with lots of restaurants and bakeries and is on a 15 min walk to the Blue mosque and St. Sofia. There is free parking place in front of the hotel which was very good solution for us.

Excellent location. My room had a sea view. The bed was comfortable. Quiet hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. I was given a box of Turkish Delight on leaving which was a nice touch.

It was difficult to get hot water from the shower. Only paper cups are provided for tea and coffee so I bought myself a mug.

Everything was perfect, starting with the friendly staff, cleanliness, sea view and overall vibes

I really like the clean room and the comfortable bed at Newalla hotel old city. The staff is incredibly helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, the property is very quiet, allowing for a peaceful and relaxing experience. The amenities are top-notch, and the views from the property are stunning. Overall, it's a fantastic place to stay. They gave me a box of Turkish dessert on the last day of my stay 🤩Thank you Newalla hotel ❤️

There were a couple of things I didn’t like about the property. The neighborhood had very narrow streets, making it challenging to navigate by car or finding a parking spot. It would be better to use public transportation, which suits the hotel more and would make getting around much easier.
