The Golden Horn Hotel has a very good location in the heart of the old city, offering a nice view over the surroundings from the roof terrace (Aya Sofia, Topkapi Saray, Bosporus river and the narrow streets of Istanbul with his wonderful mosques and shops). From the hotel we walked to the main attractions of the city for several minutes and we discovered the beauty of the historical places in Istanbul. We had a great stay thanks to Mr. Seçkin Kaya (food and beverage manager) and his wonderful team who treated us so well, serving fresh food, Turkish delights and great Turkish coffee, but also thanks to the reception team who solved all the problems. We will definitely come back again! Thank you for your hospitality!

Although the property has 4 stars there are some things that can be fixed or replaced (some old chairs, old drapes and yellowed towels or the noisy air conditioning system is some rooms). We know that everything is expensive, but you need to keep your high quality of a 4 stars hotel. Please take good care of those little things that counts for visitor’s stay in your hotel. We really appreciate all your efforts!

Our stay at Golden Horn was pleasant and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite good if you go a bit early you can enjoy all items. The customer relations officer Mr. SEÇKLN and waiters were very hospitable. They made us feel special by offering warm and fresh omelette and coffee on top of breakfast buffet. The room and bathroom were clean and smell free. We got housekeeping every day during our stay. The front desk also helped us with laundry and general info. Definitely recommend!

The room was good, not super spacious but very comfortable. The only thing lacking was not enough electric sockets as we were 3 ppl in the room.

The location of the hotel is a first class - in old town, close to the main Istanbul sights to see. The room was decorated in luxorious Arab style and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was also nice. The breakfast was generous - you could order everything from the menu to taste. The restaurant chief was friendly with kids and created nice atmosphere.

The only thing to improve would be the breakfast restaurant facilities - although the restaurant on the top floor had excellent views it was a little outdated. But in the big picture it did not bother us - it kind of suited to this atmosphere.

I had a wonderful time at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly, always with a smile and ready to assist. Communication was easy and pleasant, and everyone made an effort to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible. They were always ready to help with local recommendations and any other requests. I also want to mention the great location of the hotel — everything important is nearby, and you can easily walk to most places. The metro station is also very close, which makes getting around the city even more convenient. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and attentive service. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

We had an amazing stay at Golden Horn Hotel! The location was absolutely perfect—close to all the main attractions. We couldn't have asked for a better spot to explore the area. What really stood out to us, though, was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly friendly. From check-in to check-out, they made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. A special thanks to the Food & Beverage Manager Seckin Kaya who welcomed us everyday in the breakfast. He was always with a big smile in his face and serviced is the best way. The best manager I ever met in a hotel! The room itself was clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We really appreciated the attention to detail and the overall quality of the hotel.

Fantastic Family Stay at Goldenhorn Hotel – Special Thanks to Mr. Seçkin Kaya! We recently stayed at the Goldenhorn Hotel in Sirkeci, Istanbul, and had a wonderful experience as a family. From the start, the staff made us feel right at home—friendly, professional, and always ready to help. A special mention goes to Mr. Seçkin Kaya from the kitchen staff, who truly made our stay even more memorable. He not only provided excellent service but also made a genuine effort to connect with our son—entertaining him with balloons and always bringing a smile to his face. It meant a lot to us as parents and showed the warm, family-friendly atmosphere of the hotel. The location is ideal for exploring the historic parts of Istanbul, and the hotel has a welcoming, authentic feel. The food was excellent, and the hospitality top-notch. The only small downside was the size of the room—it was a bit tight for a family with a child. However, the overall experience more than made up for it. We’re very grateful for the care and kindness shown to us and would happily return in the future. Thank you, Goldenhorn Hotel, and especially Mr. Seçkin Kaya, for a truly special stay!

Staff was amazing. Breakfast was good, something new every morning. Seçkin Kaya at the restaurant was great, always available to help with the table, food, Turkish coffee, and a good advice where to go and shop. Location of the hotel is phenomenal, very close, walking distance, to the Bazaar and historical center (the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the cistern). Everything else is a short ride on a tram or train, stations are few steps from the hotel. Great restaurants everywhere around, the “Glamour Rooftop” restaurant down the street from the hotel is a must!

Nothing we did not like, just the rooftop restaurant was under renovation and we were not able to see the city from there; however, the hotel staff told us we could use the sister-hotel rooftop few blocks away.

I would like to give a good review for the Golden Horn Hotel. We had an accomodation for our couple in the deluxe room for 3 days from 23 to 26 November. Though the hotel is an old variant, it was renovated several years ago and the interior is looking quite fresh now. Our room was designed and decorated very nicely in the old Osman style. Everything was comfortable and in proper working condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful! The best thing about the hotel is it's location in the center of Old City (SultanAhmet region) with all the main landmarks places in the walking distance (5 min from Haya Sofia and Zisterna Basilica). And of course it's beautiful roof terrace restaurant with fantastic views on Istanbul city and Golden horn bay! And very very very tasty, delicious breakfast that we had every morning!!! Especial thanks to the customer relations manager Seçkin Kaya who did the best job for the guests! It was so pleasant 😊 to enjoy the special coffee ☕ service from you every morning, my friend! Thank you! 🙏 So, my recommendation to all guests and my best wishes for the prosperity of Golden Horn Hotel! I hope to stay here again my next visit to Istanbul!

The location is very good for visiting the traditional touristic targets like Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, Top Kapi, Cisterns etc. They are all within walking distance and, if lazy, the T1 tram station is just at the end of the street. Even though the street is narrow and busy, the hotel managed to arrange parking for our motorbike, which stayed safe. Staff is incredibly attentive and nice, breakfast is very good. Across the street there is a small market shop and a nice coffee shop.

The area is very busy, which was to be expected. The rooms are incredibly small and the only window was in a nook across one of the beds. you could open it only while climbed in bed and anyway it opened in a small inner court where all the outside aircon units were, with a gross view on the tubulature. Even with the aircon off you could still hear the engines of the others, and the condensation water running in the pipes.

I have stayed at hotel previously with tour and was lovely, the hotel, the coffee shop across the street and the proximity to the sites. This time, I was pleasantly surprised when the front desk informed me of an upgraded room, and my stay exceeded all expectations. The spacious, beautiful appointed room came with a view made my stay more memorable! There were also so many familiar faces from the year before which is so wonderful to see, staff retention!

Their roof top restaurant view is fantastic during their buffet breakfasts, but they were renovating this visit. They are making it work with breakfast on ground level but I cannot wait to got back and see what they did on the roof top!
