Everything was great! The location is perfect, near the centre and all attractions. Very clean and great breakfast! Free coffee and tea through the all day! All recommendations for this hotel! :)

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Breakfast was adequate and always fresh. The location was great very close to most of the tourist's attractions. The staff were very helpful and went above our expectation,especially Burhan. But the restaurant staff were all very nice and give service with a smile and always ready to help. This hotel is very worthed for the money.

We just wished there was an electric kettle all day in the room although they always provided us with a flask of hot water all the time that we needed.

The staff was great. Zeki and Elias were superb front desk managers, and they were very helpful. The food, both quality and selection, at the breakfast buffet was excellent. Setting up a taxi to the airport was simple through Zeki and actually cheaper than the shuttle services. The location is super convenient. 3 minutes walk to Sirkeci or Gulhane T1 stops. 5 minute walk to Topkapi. Plenty of shops and restaurants within a 2-minute walk. The hotel is 1 street back from the main drag, so it's quiet as well.

Be aware you'll need to prepay for taxi in cash at the front desk the night before departure.

Metro access to the hotel very near and convenient. Lots of shopping area in the close proximity. fantastic location. Friendly staff in the reception and in the breakfast restaurant. Good breakfast especially the Turkish coffee provide was fabulous.

The Asur Hotel is exceptional. We stayed there many times before and will never stay anywhere else in Istanbul. Since our last visit the hotel has been completely renovated and it now has its own restaurant where we enjoyed a meal that was for us unequaled in standard, a highlight. The staff is probably the most professional, efficient and approachable we’ve ever encountered in our travels across the globe. The Asur has always been very clean and this high standard has been maintained to exacting standards. The best shower ever! It’s ideally situated, three minutes walk to the super affordable and user friendly tram system (Go get an Istanbul card), one minute walk to the underground train and five minutes from Gülhane Park and Topkapi Palace. Seven minutes stroll will bring you to the water and Galata Bridge. Five minute walk to Spice Bazaar. The Asur hotel really places you in the middle of so much beauty and excitement and yet the rooms are quiet at night. If you have the slightest doubt left, allow the breakfast to delight you in unimaginable ways. It simply caters for every possible taste. There’s juices, teas, coffee, jams and confectionery, honey, cereals, bowls overflowing with sundried fruits, and yoghurt. There’s warm foods; French fries, cheese filled pastries, sausages in a marinara sauce, Omelettes, boiled eggs, roasted vegetables and tomato-egg. There’s an abundance of Turkish cold specialities, salads, cold marinated roasted vegetables, yougurt dips and the best cold poached eggs we ever had. There’s cold bread dips and toppings and cold meats and many cheeses, huge bowls of marinated and stuffed olives. There’s soup, warm, lentil or yogurt soup. There are pasties and breads; six kinds! And it wouldn’t be an Asur breakfast if there isn’t a desert table of note! Cold chocolate mouse bowls, Turkish puddings, sweet fruit breads, cakes and tarts and fruits in season, too many to sample. Thank you for an unforgettable stay.

We didn’t like to leave. We’re already planning our next trip.

The location is great because you're close to key places like the Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, etc., but also close to Sirkeci station to take the Marmaray to the Asian side and the tranway to Taksim. Also, the place is in a quiet zone with good views and have a lot of good places to have lunch or dinner around. The hotel is in excellent condition and the service is very good.

At times, some of the staff seemed a little confused about what they had to do, and you had to ask for some things again. But the people in charge were very friendly and took care of every detail. I don't have anything else to say, everything was great for me!

It’s my second time at asur hotel and I must say, it was just as good as my first experience. The staff at this hotel are really friendly, always going above and beyond to ensure that guests are comfortable and well taken care of. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed with all the amenities one could need. The bed was incredibly comfortable and provided a great night's sleep. Finally, the location of the hotel is simply unbeatable. It's situated in a prime location with easy access to many local attractions and amenities. I truly cannot recommend this hotel enough, and I am already looking forward to my next stay :).

A lovely hotel in a super convenient location. It exceeded my expectations, and was *far* nicer than the 4 star I stayed at last visit, which was just a block away. Huge bonus not having carpeting in the rooms. They offered in-room filtered water, and a variety of pillow types to suit everyone. Room was spacious, comfy, bathroom looked newly remodeled, and housekeeping very nice and efficient. Everything worked, which isn't always the case at other places. Super friendly English-speaking staff, each and every one. Very large and very nice breakfast selection, and excellent coffee.

It's a silly thing, but they did not have hot water kettles in the room. They were very nice about delivering hot water to the room for coffee/tea, but it would have been nicer and more convenient in-room, especially when getting ready in the morning.

- I found the pillows a bit too hard and deep for comfortable sleeping - The AC did not cool the room when set to the cooling setting (not sure if it was still switched off during April, but the temperatures were almost summer-like) - Sometimes, the window was left open after cleaning. I generally support fresh air, but then, the room always smelled like burned wood (I assume from nearby grill restaurants) - A second nightstand would be great
