Hotel Perula has great location: in Sultanahmet district very close to main places of interest (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern etc). Restaurants, souvenir shops etc are also close by. It is about 5-7 mins walk to 2 tram stops (Cemberlitas and Sultanahmet), from where you can get a tram across Golden Horn / Bosphorus to the other side of the city. Hotel staff is very friendly and welcoming. I had a room with a street view, it was cozy and clean. The added benefit was a safe (where you can keep your valuables) and a mini bar. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace (6th floor) and in the morning you can enjoy a view of the Blue Mosque and the sea – which definitely adds to the experience. This hotel is great value for money for those who would like to explore historic part of Istanbul.

Excellent location, a few steps away from Sultanahmet Square and The Blue Mosque. The rooftop is as nice as it looks in the photos and the view towards the sea is lovely. It was nice having breakfast there everyday and it's a convenient option for dinner too. The food was very good and there were plenty of food options at breakfast. The rooms are a bit smaller and not that soundproof, but overall, it's good value for money, and they were clean and equipped with the basics (no iron, though).

The spa is not included for guests of the hotel. There are only paid packages that are a bit pricey. It's not possible to use the sauna or Turkish bath without booking a package.

Hotel is what you paid for, it has all you need and nothing more. It clean and friendly. The staff are amazing and very helpful. They don’t put any pressure on you to buy extra service they are kind and very understanding. They give you the correct information and don’t try and sell you stuff. They helped us in many ways, for example, the best place to exchange money, what places to visit that are not on the map, good places to eat, a good tour guide. If you are looking for luxury this hotel isn’t it, but if you are looking for a family friendly, excellent location, close to the mosque and grand bazar then this is your place. I would highly recommend this hotel! In the hotel they have a spa, very clean and friendly too. As the spa is in the hotel it was great, as after I didn’t have to travel to my hotel. The prize was good too.

The location was amazing!! Beautiful views from the terrace and extremely central to all major spots. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. The reception was amazing and helpful. They booked us wonderful tours and were very good with coordinating everything even before we landed. I would definitely stay here again.

I just had a bit of trouble with the hot water, which wasn't available all the time. The mini fridge in the room was also not working, as was the TV. But I didn't really need it so I wasn't too bothered by it. The breakfast was great, but the kitchen staff was not too friendly in the morning.

Location was great! Few metres down the road and the beautiful Blue Mosque appears. Beautiful views at breakfast too! Walking up outside hotel takes you to the trams and very easily connect to where you need to go from there. Also lots of restaurants and supermarkets closeby so very good location. The service at the hotel was so great, friendly staff. They very knowledgeable and helpful if you need advice on travel routes.

Not much but at the time during our stay, the restaurant was not operational so food during the day and night or room service was not available. Also no microwave inside the room so could not warm up any food that we had bought. Only breakfast was open.

Very informative and helpful front desk staff, they were proactive and contacted me in advance regarding tour booking information and airport transfers. Very helpful with sightseeing directions and assistance with off-site laundry service. Excellent location for the Sultanahmet area, 2 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and 3 minutes to Sophie Hagia and 4 minutes to Basilica. Lovely quaint rooftop restaurant in level 6 ( nb have to climb stairs from 5th to 6th floor) for extensive panoramic views of Istanbul city and port area. Good small and friendly hamam within walking distance from hotel as well as many food and shopping options.

The air-conditioning controller was issue laden so had no consistent air cooling. Call to prayers can be clearly heard in the room, twin beds were light so kept moving apart.

I liked the location. City centre based hotel. The main attractions are around the hotel (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Kapali Bazaar, Hipodrome).

The breakfast was the same every day and that was a big disappointment for us. We stayed seven days and had the same choice for breakfast every day. I would recommend to the hotel to offer 30% different food from the day before. This is very important for guests who stay there for more than 2 days (a week in our case).

Room Size a bit small.

hospitality was excellent . very helpful . location also excellent . great food in the roof top restaurant with a view over the city. We loved the tea , Apple tea, pomegranate Tea , black tea . we were not tea drinkers before . they arranged our shuttles to and from airport , also excellent . we booked two tours with them also excellent . we had our own guide who was very knowledgeable. was a very excellent choice . i would totally recommend this hotel to stay . easy walk everywhere we wanted to go .

The Location was Perfect, close to all the tourist attractions and lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Partial view of the Blue Mosque. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Even received a small gift as I checked out, which I thought was a very sweet gesture.

Unfortunately, my room was right next to the lift on the 5th floor which leads to the restaurant and breakfast area. It was a bit noisy late night as guests left the restaurant and early morning while the staff set up for breakfast. I was in room 502(room 501 is affected too) so if you can avoid this room then it will make your stay more pleasant.
