This was my second stay at the hotel, though my first under the new ownership. The location remains unbeatable, just a 2-minute walk from the Blue Mosque and about 5 minutes from Hagia Sophia. We initially encountered an issue with our first room, but it was handled promptly and professionally. The majority of our stay was spent in a very comfortable room offering stunning views of the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, and the Princes’ Islands. The service throughout was exceptional. Mesut, Enes, and Hakan were consistently helpful, offering not only assistance and advice but also engaging conversation. Elif and Shuhadah took great care of us during breakfast, always friendly and accommodating. The entire team delivered a truly five-star experience. I'm already looking forward to returning for future stays.

The bathrooms could have a better ventilation system, and breakfast could do with more variety.

Absolutely awesome location. Exceptional service. As a female solo traveller, I couldn't have wished for a better experience. A small boutique hotel right in the heart of Istanbul. The view from my room was absolutely spectacular. Airport transfers streamlined what could have been a crazy journey traversing the traffic and within moments of my arrival, I was whisked away on an evening cruise on the Bosphorus. Within less than 24 hours, I managed to visit Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque, Gülhane Park, the Hippodrome and wander around Sultanahmet. I will be back.

The staff and location of the hotel are incredible! This hotel is directly across from the Blue Mosque and easily in walking distance to most of the major attractions such as Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazaar. The T1 line is also extremely close. We were upgraded to an ocean-view room because it was our honeymoon and it was honestly beautiful. This is not a large hotel by any means but we managed fine with 2 large suitcases and carryons. We also did a lot of shopping and managed to fit the bags as well without issue. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. We also enjoyed the breakfast. It’s not a 5 star meal by any means but it was a decent selection and always tasted good. They have a good selection of teas as well. The staff is really wonderful. We had nothing but positive interactions with every member. There was an earthquake while we were there so the lift stopped working but they sent someone to help us get our luggage from our room and carry it down the stairs. They really do care about their guests. They also speak multiple languages so they were able to communicate with us in English no problem.

The location is excellent right opposite the Blue Mosque, which made getting around really easy. Breakfast was included; it was fairly basic but they did offer Turkish coffee and tea, which was a nice touch. The reception staff were helpful and happy to offer suggestions and local tips. Our room had a great view of the Mosque!

Just be aware, the rooms are quite small it was difficult to navigate the space sometimes, especially with luggage. Also, if you're not used to it, the 4:30am call to prayer might catch you off guard; it certainly gave me a fright the first night

Location was amazing, so close to everything. Our room had a great view of the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus. The breakfast was SO good every day. The staff were all friendly but special mention must go to the young waitress we had every morning at breakfast. She was so good at not only looking after us but looking after all the guests. Unfortunately I injured myself after falling while out exploring Istanbul. She was so caring, helping me up the stairs, making me a cup of tea, getting soft foods to eat and even offering to cut the food up! What a credit she is to the hotel, only wish we had asked for her name. She is amazing and so kind. Thank you for the lovely hospitality. We would recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Istanbul.

A Wonderful Stay - Highly Recommend! We recently stayed at this hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The location is perfect - close to everything you’d want to see and do, with easy access to transport, restaurants, and attractions. The facilities were excellent - clean and well-maintained. From the comfortable rooms to the relaxing common areas, everything was thoughtfully designed for a great stay. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the staff. Every member of the team was warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Their genuine hospitality made all the difference. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great hotel.

Everything was wonderful

Lovely hotel..exectly like the photos with cozy interiors. Great location to stay right near the main city sight seeing. Opposite the blue mosque. Very friendly staff who cater to your needs and make your stay very comfortable.The breakfast is also good but make sure to be early!! We also ordered room service dinners a few nights and it did not disappoint! Good sized portions! The hotel is a short 5 min walk from the tram station too so its easy to get around the city also. We stayed in February and perfect location for 1st time visitors to istanbul!

A wonderful boutique hotel right in the center of Istanbul. It is overlooking the Hippodrome, which is a pedestrian area so you can barely hear any traffic. The view from the breakfast area on top is breathtaking, overlooking the Bosphorus, Blue mosque and Hagia Sophia. The rooms were spacious and very clean, the beds very comfortable and breakfast was plentiful. But probably the best thing about Alzer is the staff. Everyone is very friendly and attentive, from the breakfast lady to the reception and restaurant staff. They will go above and beyond to make your stay as memorable as possible, especially Kemal and Ahmed. Thank you Alzer, we hope we can come back some day!

We were a group of 6 (a couple and both our parents) and we booked three identical rooms for 6 nights. The next morning after our arrival we realised that we didn't all get the same rooms (two were identical but one was smaller) which was a bit awkward since we were organising the trip for our parents and wanted everyone to have the same experience. After we pointed this out the next day, we were given the proper room, so that solved it. Other than that no complaints, except maybe the room doors could be better soundproofed.
