We had a fantastic two-day stay at the Kumru Hotel, located right in the heart of Sultanahmet, Istanbul. This hotel offers exceptional value for money. The staff did everything to make our stay comfortable, with Sinan standing out for his helpful suggestions and assistance in planning our itinerary. The location is ideal for exploring nearby world-famous attractions. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff truly set this hotel apart. We highly recommend the Kumru Hotel for anyone visiting Istanbul who values great service and a prime location.

The location was great and the hotel was very comfortable. We had a room on the ground floor and it was convenient going down to breakfast and also when leaving. Plus there was no noise disturbance except for the occasional cats fighting outside the window. Sinan and Abdul Rehman in reception were so great. They were so helpful and polite and accommodating. They really looked after us well. When I requested an extra bed for the room, they were able to help easily and their communication was great even before arriving. Great service from breakfast too- Sabrina was lovely. She gave us some food to take with us on our journey back home which was so wonderful.

it was my first solo trip and I was a bit stressed that I would feel lonely or unsafe. But the moment I walked into Kumru hotel I was greeted and treated as a friend. The Hotel and rooms are great but it's the people working there that made it very special. I stayed there for a week and honestly think that I enjoyed my trip so much thanks to all the staff at Kumru Hotel, who helped me with all my needs and made me feel very safe in an unknown city. Special thanks to Sinan for a warm welcome, answering all my questions, and making sure I get back to the hotel safely. The Rooms: Rooms are modern and cleaned every day. The bed is comfortable. The water pressure is not the best but it does the job. There was also a minibar for late-night snacking. They also provided water bottles free of charge that they restock daily. Location: Great location, really close to the main tourist attractions and the tram, but still remote enough that you don't hear any noises from the street. There are also a few great restaurants around the corner. Breakfast: good selection of savory and sweet dishes: salads, cheese, eggs, bread, cereals etc. That allows you to switch up what you eat every morning. The food tastes homemade which I particularly enjoyed.

With the affordable price offered, Kumru Hotel facilities is great together with very delicious and variety of breakfast selections every morning. The view from my room was also beautiful. Thanks Kumru Hotel for the great hospitality. The staff was very helpful as well. The location is very good with a lots of restaurant around it. And for muslim, there is a mosque with 3-minutes walking distance from this hotel if you wanna perform the prayers daily.

If I close all the windows, seems like the room is lacking of air ventilation system. So, sometimes I need to open little bit my window for the ventilation.

The room is good. Breakfast is very tasty a lots of choice. The location is amazing very close to the major historical sites, mosques etc, Lots of amazing restaurants close by. Very close to the park and the beach and shops. Nice to walk by the beach. Since I a am a cat lover, I enjoyed petting them when ever I see them. Most cats get close to you and allowing you to pet them.

I like the vibrant city of Istanbul. Amazing people very helpful in everyway. I thank Abdurrahman at the hotel for giving me a good information and advice. Yigit was very helpful and I want to pass my gratitude to him.

First of all, the hotel's location and service are very reasonable for the price. People book at these prices, compare it to five-star hotels, and then give poor reviews, ultimately disliking the hotel. The hotel and its staff provide a pleasant and professional service, yet some people are dissatisfied. After booking, I read the reviews and was apprehensive, but upon arrival, their welcoming service revealed the truth. They are very nice people, offering discounts on tours and Turkish baths, and offering discounts on the commissions agencies give them. This is what I call "service-oriented.

Clean. The location is good if you wanna visit the main attractions in the zone. Breakfast is good (but mainly Turkish options) The staff is friendly and attentive

We booked a double room with twin beds and we got a queen bed. Also the room was extremely small so be prepared for that, was hard managed our luggage daily without enough space. The room looks way bigger in the pictures than in real life.

An excellent hotel (considering the location, price and quality for that money) in the very center of old Constantinople/Istanbul. Very close to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern and other ancient iconic places. Just a huge mass of restaurants and cafes within walking distance and for any budget. The staff can recommend some “tested” places. The hotel staff is very responsive. We were on holiday with friends, their hotel was nearby. The hotel staff didn't mind when our friends came to visit us a couple of times for a couple of hours. My recommendation is to take the advice of the hotel representatives and book the airport transfer they provide. You will save a lot of nerves, as the hotel staff understands well how to deliver you to the airport on time, taking into account traffic jams and congestion in Istanbul at different times of the day.

A small, one might say “cosmetic” wish... I would replace the light bulbs in the room with “warmer” ones 🙂, that is, with a lower light temperature. According to my feelings, the bulbs are installed with a temperature of 4000K (Cool White or even higher) but I like something like 3000K (Bright White) or less...

Hotel upgraded our room, so it had 3 beds for 2 persons, but it's fine. Cleaning staff is very responsive. Breakfast is very good, a lot of salads, fruits and etc. No meat or fish, but for me it doesn't matter. Location is very convenient, in very quite street, but close to the streets with small cafe and restaurants.

The neighbor building is school and you should expect that during the weekday it will be noisy in the morning. There's also strong audibility of other rooms in the building (if somebody talks on the street, you'll heard it very good)... also not very suitable for elder people as to go to Sultanhamet, you need to climb...

The highest rate goes to stuff of the hotel! They really try to do their best for guests. They are super and honestly friendly and helpful, not just because they have to. The hotel, rooms and restaurant is very clean and we were super happy about that.

Well, for us location of the hotel was a bit problem but maybe for some other people it is not. Just like it say in the hotel information, the nearest public transport station is 500m away from hotel. ( T1 tram on Sultanahmet station) and sometimes it takes some effort, especially if you already walked for a long time, during the day.
