Wonder Wood Hotel was without any doubt the most beautiful experience in Istanbul. Was the first time for my my husband and myself. Really nice room with small fridge and AC . The hotel is on the heart of Istanbul, close to the Blue Mosque 🕌, Gran Bazar , Spices Bazar and great attractions. Busy place but safe and always full of life . Alperen and Minhaz was a great help for us - we’ve been explained everything about the city , shopping on the bazar . As well we’ve been given a card to use for travel , and to have access to the subway. Maybe feel a small thing but really meant a lot to us . And at end of our staying , we had to leave to the airport at 3am . Minhaz was waiting for us with fresh coffee and 2 sandwiches to take as we could not have breakfast. Amazing and 5* in did . Traditional Turk hotel and very comfy, based in the city center, walking distance to historical sites, grand plaza and very close to a tram station. Close to the ferry piers 4 stops away or a 20-25 minute walk. On a very quiet street away from all the tourist traffic and noise from the roads. Value for money, we booked a deluxe room. I would definitely stay in Wonder Wood hotel whenever I visit Istanbul again. Helpful staff, rooms cleaned everyday and a lovely stay 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

You have to be fit, not convenient for a wheelchair user or with poor mobility. Istanbul is hilly.

Clean. Very good location: just minutes away from top historical destinations, like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace. What was truly outstanding were the staff. They were genuinely friendly, cheerful, welcoming, and eager to help in any way possible. We felt treated like family (in the good way).The cook was like an auntie who cooked fantastic huge breakfasts (we didn’t need to stop for lunch). The young woman manager was helpful in numerous ways, including helping us try to sort out some challenges with a faulty metro card, and giving us excellent advice on restaurants. The staff really helped to make our trip a memorable experience. Perhaps the best staff we have experienced in all our travels.

This isn’t their fault, but I would warn tall people about staying in the junior king suite. You will have to duck under low beams and doorways a lot! A very nice room apart from that 🙂.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The staff at this hotel were amazing, especially Enci, who went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. She truly is a super host – always available, incredibly kind, and willing to help with anything we needed. Enci surprised me with a birthday cake and a thoughtful note, which made my day extra special. The hotel itself is in a quiet neighborhood, our room was very clean and comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for excellent service and a lovely, serene setting. Thank you, Enci and team, for making our stay unforgettable!

This is by far the best hotel I've stayed in Istanbul! The service is incredible.. Zuhra and Nadide bend over backwards to make you feel comfortable. Breakfast on the terrace is just wonderful. Loved all the wood decor, very unique. Comfy bed, good AC, great location, with a lovely mosque and coffee shop on the corner. Everything in walking distance.. felt safe at night as a women walking alone. Will definitely be staying again when I go back. Thank you, Zuhra, for making it such a memorable and pleasant stay!

Not enough plug sockets in the room..

Friendly staff, free filtered and cold water, coffee, tea etc in the reception located right next door to the accommodation. Located close to the historical area making it easy to visit the mosque, but still away from the crowds Lots of cafes and restaurants in the street behind. My room had a private balcony as it was the only room on the top floor, with some nice views and great to get some fresh air in. Great working air conditioner with cooling and heating.

Only thing is whenever you showered you'd smell the stale water for a few minutes after which wasn't pleasant.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Istanbul! When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to get a free upgrade to a bigger room. The room was tastefully decorated, cozy, and very comfortable. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe here. The street outside and the hotel’s hallways are monitored by cameras, which gave me extra peace of mind. The best part of my stay was the owners. They were always around, super friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed. Their hospitality really made a difference and made me feel welcome. I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Istanbul!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Wonder Wood Hotel. From start to finish it was perfect. An amazing location for exploring Istanbul, tucked away in the old part so it's peaceful but walking distance to all the tourist attractions and the hustle and bustle. We didn't have to use any transport as we could get to everything on foot. The room was beautiful and clean and the staff were some of the best hotel staff we have come across, very thoughtful. Inji was particularly helpful in giving us reccomendations around the city. We visited on my birthday but didn't share this and the hotel staff must have noticed on the booking details. We ended my birthday by coming back to the room with a cake and candle and a note from the hotel. Truly wonderful. We would visit again in a heartbeat.

This was our second stay at the hotel, and once again, it was a lovely experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and always available to help — whether it’s offering information, assisting with anything you need, or simply bringing you a coffee or tea with a smile. The location is excellent, within easy reach of everything, and the rooms are both charming and very comfortable. The street the hotel is on also has a unique charm of its own, which we really enjoy. Overall, we’re already looking forward to returning the next time we’re in Istanbul.

The best hospitality we have ever had, without any doubts!! From the moment we entered the hotel to the moment we leave! Everything was perfect. We were welcomed by hotel manager Inji who is always ready to assist you with your questions. We were served coffee on our arrival. Free tea, coffee, cookies, fruits is available in the lobby. Rooms are super clean and bed sheets, pillow covers are changed daily. Breakfast is very rich and delicious. Location of hotel is also ideal - in a quiet street but very centrally located and close to the tram as well. Our stay in this hotel exceeded our expectations. We will definitely come back!

The hotel door itself was locked, which I discovered later that they had moved the reception to the hotel next door. Apart from this minor inconvenience, everything was perfect!!
