Staf, location, the view. This was my 5th time in Istanbul, I am absolutely in love with that city, and tihs beautiful place help us to take the best from our vacation. Located in the VERY center, just 6-7 minutes walking to the Blue Mosque, 10 minutes to Hagia Sophia, and something like 15 to the Grand Bazar. Hood is very unique, full of traditional ottoman little houses. Rooms are well equipped, spacey and comfortable. Breakfast is tradicional Turkish, we like it very much. THE VIEW form the roof is amazing, there is a table and chairs, but unfortunately, it was cold outside, so we dind't use it... :-( This is literally the best place ever, I can say that STAF made it such special! I spent amazing and memorable few days with my whole family (Mom, dad, my son, and husband). We made great memories together.

Everything was just perfect! Please, notice that you have to climb a lot to reach the hotel, but situation is very similar almost anywhere else in Istanbul. Wherever you go, there is always some hils and even stairs in the down town.. . :)

Staying in Istanbul is an experience I’ll never forget — and one of the main reasons is the people. Turkish hospitality is something truly special: warm, kind, and always ready to help you with anything you might need. This was especially true at Sultan Palace, where the staff went above and beyond to assist us throughout our stay. Communication with them was excellent and made everything so easy. The hotel itself, though modest, was very comfortable and clean. One of the highlights was without a doubt the stunning view of the mosque — absolutely unforgettable. I truly recommend this place not only for the kindness of the staff or the amazing views, but also for its location: right in the heart of Sultanahmet, just a few minutes' walk from the main square where you’ll find the Blue Mosque, and a bit further, Hagia Sophia. It’s a great area, with plenty of restaurants, a few convenience stores, and everything you might need within easy reach. Sultanahmet is the oldest part of Istanbul, and in my opinion, one of the most charming areas in the whole city. All in all, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sultan Palace again — and I hope to return in the future.

If I had to mention something that could be seen as a "negative" — though in my case it wasn’t at all — it would simply be to inform future guests of a cultural aspect that’s common across all of Turkey: the daily calls to prayer, which are broadcast through loudspeakers several times a day. Personally, I find this to be a beautiful and meaningful part of the local culture and religion. However, some travelers might be surprised by it, especially the early morning call. That said, it did not bother us at all or prevent us from enjoying either the city or our stay at Sultan Palace. These calls to prayer can be heard throughout Istanbul, not just from this hotel.

I arrived on a rainy day and left on a rainy day, but the stay in between was great. The place feels fit for a Sultan, with thoughtful details like a small hot pot in the reception area. They provided two pairs of slippers, and the room, while small, was cozy and clean, with artificial candle lamps adding charm. It was tidied daily, and the bathroom was well-maintained. The food available for online ordering was pricey, but I never needed it. The Simit (a type of Turkish bread) was delightful, especially with Nutella or mayonnaise, though it was equally enjoyable plain. The location is great too. The Cemberlitas area has a metro tram station, making it easy to explore the city with an Istanbulkart, which you can purchase at the metro station. The Grand Bazaar and other attractions are just a short walk away. The view from the room’s window was phenomenal, with a huge mosque nearby (which I initially thought to be Hagia Sophia) and the sea dotted with stationary ships, visible both day and night. The rooftop, furnished with tables and chairs, offers a stunning view, though we didn’t get a chance to use it. Seagulls often flew around, and cats occasionally climbed onto the roofs. Before departing, we picked up sweets near the metro station, making for a perfect ending to the trip. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Istanbul.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Sultan Palace Hotel. The hotel is ideally located in Istanbul's old city within walking distance from the sea and historic landmarks such as (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque...), cafes and restaurants, unique shops making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of keeping everything spotless and well-maintained throughout our stay. One of the highlights of our stay was having access to the hotel's terrace. The panoramic view from the terrace was simply breathtaking. It was the perfect spot to have the coffee in the morning and unwind after a day of exploring the city. Overall, our stay at Sultan Palace Hotel was truly memorable. The combination of its location in the old city, the comfortable rooms, and the stunning views from the terrace made for an exceptional experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul especially those looking to immerse themselves in the historical and cultural essence of the area. I look forward to returning in the future.

The staff is really nice. Both receptionists were very friendly and welcoming. They all the time assisted me and my family with carrying the baby strollers. One of them even went with me to find an ATM. The location was also good, close to many main attractions just by walking.

I expected the infrastructure of the hotel to be better, based on the pics. The building is old and needs a good renovation in most of the areas, including the room. Example: the toilet was leaking water whenever flushing, the lift was super slow and we had to press the open doors 2 or 3 times to open it in the ground floor and a few other little things. Although the basic cleaning (beds and bath) was done, the room definitely needed a deep cleaning. Under the bed it was very dirty - lots of dust, marks and even a little toy. There were some hair near the bed, and the shower had old black marks. Overall, it didn't stop us having a good experience, since these were minors.

Very good location and you are able to walk everywhere and close to the tram if you need to go further. The view from the terrace was great and a good place to listen to the call to prayer spread across the city, the call to prayer from the neighbouring mosque was loud but it didn’t wake us up in the night. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful, allowing us to leave our luggage there when we arrived earlier than the check in time.

Perhaps the mattress was a little hard but that is personal preference.

it was a great location and a reasonable price. the room was beautiful. we never tried the breakfast, so I do not know what that was like. the manager speaks a little english, but not much, so you need the front desk to truly communicate. he was amazing, you can get very informative information especially when he is alone and not translating everything he says to the manager. the rooftop terrace was amazing!

the location is right next to a mosque. luckily we had white noise on our phone. especially being ramadan there were extra call to prayers.

Depends on our ourder, they did their best. Our staying in this hotel were amazing.Especially, the young man staff was polite.

steep hills around the hotel 😄. sometimes you can hear your neighbors that are too loud

Great value stay and an incredible roof terrace views. Also some great food options and local grocery stores in the vicinity.

The place itself is a little tired. Also located at the foot of a pretty steep hill, which is understandable for Istanbul, but might be tough for some to access.
