In general, everything suited us. The breakfast was delicious, lots of choice. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the main sights. There is a tram stop nearby that takes you anywhere in the city. The room is clean, there are slippers, shampoo, gel and soap. Be aware that Istanbul is a hilly city, this is not a disadvantage of the hotel, but you will have to go up and down steep roads throughout the city. It is also worth mentioning that prayers are heard from the mosques, this happens five times a day and the first prayer is in the early morning (4 or 5 am) - there are a lot of mosques in the city, so wherever you live, you will hear a prayer. The only remark to the hotel - some pieces of furniture are starting to break down and it's time to change them. If you want to get to the Sophia temple, then you should come for breakfast at 08:30 and at 09:00 go towards the temple. If you come to the entrance of Sofia around 09:30, you will quickly get inside (10 minutes approximately). But if you come there at 11 or 12 o'clock in the afternoon, then there will be a queue for 3-4 hours.

But what truly sets it apart are the people – I want to especially thank the reception staff, Cihangiz and Ali, who welcomed us as if we were family, not just hotel guests. The price of £162 for a week was absolutely tremendous. The location was great too - just a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the T1 tram route. Excellent restaurants nearby as well. My room was very warm and comfortable during a cold and wet week. Breakfast was fine too. And 24 hour reception was a big help as I arrived at 2230 one night and left at 0520 the following week.

The hotel entrance is below street level and the steps down to it were very steep. With a lot of rain the entrance was slippery. Perhaps a rail could be installed to help residents.

I had 2 rooms while staying here and they were very different experiences. The first was below street level, could have been cleaner and was incredibly damp - the air was thick but the AC didn’t help much and, because you’re at street level, you can’t leave the window open. The second room was much nicer, brighter and cleaner. It’s a small thing but the sheets (in both rooms) were poor quality and very scratchy and should be replaced.

The hotel looks like its been recently renovated. The room and the bathroom are very clean. The lighting and the air conditioning work perfect. The room looks exactly the same as the photos. The breakfast is amazing too with a variety of Turkish breakfast options. Rooms are cleaned daily. The manager and staff are very friendly and helpful. We requested a room change and they quickly supported us. We also booked the family room which is also like the pictures but has not been renovated like the double and twin rooms. There was a washing machine and kettle in that room too.

The family room was in a different building but we requested to change to a double room instead and the manager very kindly agreed. The family room could be a little cleaner (there were crumbs and a cup of tea still there when we came) but the double rooms were spotless.

We loved the location of the hotel, such a close proximity to all the major attractions, city centre. It was easily walked and tram services were nearby to reach the Asian side as well. The breakfast was prepared freshly every day and IT had everything you could want. Fresh bread and Turkish pastry, salads, hot foods, coffee and tea. Absolutely excellent and delicious. The host was friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to everyone. We also had a patio which was very much appreciated after a long day of walking.

The room we were brought in was in a different building. We have to go down too many flights of stairs then go up another flight of stairs in another building. There was not enough cutlery in the kitchen for 3 people. Other than that, the staff are nice & helpful & they clean the room everyday & change towels everyday.

Location was amazing, everything was 5 minutes away by walk. Breakfast is out of this world. Literally everything you can imagine. Exceeded all my expectations. Warm rooms and very comfortable bed.

Window wasn't closing properly, there was cold air coming from the window due to it not being able to close all the way. Also I have had an ant problem. No idea where they came from but it wasn't pleasant.

Always fresh and great if visiting for one day. Repetitive ---and wasteful (A lot more put out than needed) staying longer. Continious nice coffee . Desk manned 24hrs.

Stairs down into hotel were deadly ....big marble slabs about 30cm high One room had builders refitting it with hammering and drills AT 12am (Midnight)
