Room was clean and looked like in photos, the location is great, close to main attractions in Old Town Istanbul.

The bathroom has no heating, it was very cold all the time. At check out we were asked if we consumed anything from the minibar, which we did drank a bottle of water, and we were asked by the guy at the reception to pay 1€ for it. Above the minibar it was a small list with prices and that bottle of water was 15 TL (~0.50€), I told him about that and he said it’s impossible because all the prices are in Euro, I told him also that I left the money in the room but I didn’t have time to argue and left him 2€. It’s not about the money but his professionalism

Location in sultanahmet, the hotel is just 6 min walking from T1 Cemberlitas that connects you to all the touristic places and the airport (IST) with the new metro line (M11 to Gayrettepe, M2 to Vezneciler and T1 to Cemberlitas). Walking distance to Hagia Sophia and Blue mosque. The street is quiet despite being near the main turistic area. Room was really comfy and clean. Good breakfast, we stayed 5 nights and we had different things every morning Nice staff. They had sim cards available in reception.

All together, we are 90% satisfied! It is so clean, and they clean the rooms perfectly. They have 4-star hotel-level bathroom accessories. A very good breakfast with a tasty black tee. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The room space is not like the pictures, it's a bit narrow, and the second room in the family suite does not have a closet. The family suite is located on the street-level floor. The location is not bad, but the accessibility is a bummer, be careful if you have knee or foot problems. Don't book a hotel in an area like the Sultanahmet (there are too many top and down hills)

Location is great and it is suprisingly quiet inside the rooms.

The shower door was coming off it's tracks, thankfully it is plexiglass. The air conditioner didn't run even even windows are closed, which could be frustrating. The towels are a bit more worn than you'd expect, with the edges frazzled and coming apart. The breakfast bar cuts the few Simmits it has into tiny pieces and you don't get much if you arrive more than 30 minutes after breakfast starts.

need to walk a bit to get a taxi

The location was fantastic- in the old town, close to all the historical sites. Rooms were a great size Breakfast was a good variety- you can ask for omelettes or eggs too- we only found this out on our last morning.

Staff were inattentive- very often not at reception, smoking outside or on their phones Make sure you hit the “clean your room” button when you leave for the day- we didn’t realise and came back at 5pm the way we left the room in the morning. Not an issue, but no way of getting new towels, extra coffee and water for room etc as cleaning staff had left for the day.

We had a great 5 days at Kare. Henes and Haļan are super helpful; they provided everything we needed and have great customer service. We were sick and they offered help; they gave us Uber, taxi, shopping, and all sorts of tips for our time in Istanbul to be pleasant. The breakfast is full, and they have gluten-free options. The room is comfortable, clean, and spacious. The installation is new, and so is the whole facility. They organise transfer and sightseeing and are super friendly. The location is also good.

The only thing they could provide is to start breakfast earlier.

Overall, we enjoyed staying at the Kare hotel. Both receptionists were very friendly and helpful at all times, Ali and Engin (I hope I wrote their names correctly). Engin went above and beyond helping us out as my daughter wasn’t feeling too well the night before check-out. Thank you, Engin! The cleaning staff were also friendly and very professional. Breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety for everyone’s taste. My daughters looked very much forward to their breakfast everyday! We were also grateful for a large bottle of water given to us every day, with some savory sweets as well. Hotel was in a great location, walking distance to the main Mosques, Grand Bazaar and many other points of interest, restaurants, shops, etc.

We stayed in the Family Room, although it had very comfortable beds and separate rooms, we wished it had more storage to accommodate our clothes. Nevertheless, we managed.

The place is clean rooms are big enough, beds are comfortable and location is just like 10 minutes away from the tram, we loved the breakfast spread and the cleanliness of the food and freshness, Hakan and Anes were really nice with us helping with the bags and giving us time to guide us and explain about where to go in Istanbul and how to go to the attraction areas the easy way, both are gentlemen and very helpful and I would advice you to stay at this place specially if you are all young and capable of walking up hills or if you have elderly and can arrange to move by taxi this place is great for your vacation.

Stayed in the family room with 4 adults, 1 infant and a baby, accommodation had 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, small hallway and one of the bedrooms had access to terrace area which was nice, location of hotel is okay, whilst it is walking distance to blue masjid there is a steep hill to climb, hotel breakfast was okey, I would say the hotel is more of a 3 star then 4 star, still decent as I got a good deal so was defiantly good value for money and would stay here again. Staff were always helpful.

Minor issues really, Road outside is narrow no where for taxi to park directly outside the hotel, hotel entrance has steps which is difficult if you have a wheelchair or stroller, baby pushchair and large suitcases, no ramp access. Alot of derelict old buildings around the hotel some with building works going on. Our room was on street level, not an issue for me but some may dislike. Breakfast more of a 3 start hotel could have better selection for breakfast items.
