Friendly staff. Clean room and good House keeping Service. There's a supermarket very nearby and the seller is also very friendly. We enjoyed our stay there.

Our room was underground, so there were no windows, well, just a very small window high up near the ceiling where you can't see or reach. Directly outside of the window was a table where people sat and talked the whole day and evening, so we had to get used to that. Just saying if you're claustrophobic, you have to be careful which room you get. Also we saw small roaches in the bathroom during our stay there. Nothing big though.

Loved the upper floor with sea view! That's the view to have! But beware of the seagulls when on the balcony! Room.comfy and spacious with big window. Easy walking distance to Blue Mosque and Sultanamet area. Little convenient store just opposite hotel.

Lift was not working too well. If coming from Tram stop before Sultanamet stop... note need to navigate a bit of hill to get to hotel which can be uncomfortable with luggage. Direct flat walk is easy to Blue Mosque and Sultanamet stop. Note at airport.. getting the IstanbulCard for Metro needs 200 Lira note only to buy if pay cash..so make sure to get a 200 Lira note...as its a far walk from terminal to exchange money and be careful with credit cards at machines. Also exchange rate for cash at the money changer inside is very low rate. Go out of customs to one of the bank counters...much better! The hotel also has a little restaurant which is good to know! There is no top sheet on bed.. just a small thin blanket which seems common in this part of the world.

Perfect location, near everything on old city

I caught scabies in the hotel bed and I have red dots all over my body.

The hostel is very well located, amid all major attractions, but also very importantly close to the tram stop of T1 from where you can embark on your journeys around the immense city. Considering prices in Istanbul, it is a very good value. My room was comfortable, clean, cozy, even there seemed to be floor heating in the bathroom! The staff is extremely courteous, helpful and do a great job. I thank them all for the professionalism and kindness.

The location is excellent, ten minutes from the Blue Mosque and all the major sights of Istanbul. I appreciated the level of comfort for this price: the room had everything I needed - good shower, hot water, comfortable bed, storage space. I was able to leave luggage here after check-out.

Location was good. As traveling with kids they it helped us alot as they have washing machine ajd good size balcony which helped us alot. Staff was very nicr helpful and take initiative to explain about city and if anything needed. Saleh was at reception when we arrived . Very nice and helpful guy

Staff very friendly and keen to help eg they booked tours for me at very short notice. I liked it's location in the Old Town. Good Air Con. The price was great - based primarily on the room being in a basement 2 floors beneath the ground floor. I was totally ok with this but if u get a great deal on a room here, but you struggle with mobility or feel the need of a view or natural light, then this room would not suit you. I was only in the room to sleep and shower.

Sharp edge on shower step. I covered it with duct tape (yes, I'm odd- always carry a small roll with me when travelling). The staff booked great tours to Troy and Ephesus for me, at short notice. I am glad I did them. However If I'd had the time I would have organised them myself. The travel arrangements were very demanding, and my transfer back to the hotel from the flight back from Ephesus got messed up. Still not sure who's fault that was, mine or the tour company. Also never got into either of the museums because the time was devoted to visiting local high end retailers - not my scene. BUT the tours were not directly managed by the hotel so not sure it's fair to say the problems were down to them.

you need to tell people that the hotel is downhill from all the other hotels and facilities. it takes a very steep long walk uphill to get to any transportation. if a person has a mobility problem this hotel is not convenient for them.

Had a misunderstanding in the first day, regarding number of guests. The property is charging extra per additional person. But everything was solved when the manager came the next day.
