For the price, in this location, it's a steal. It's not luxury, it's not new, but it has character, and it's clean and quiet. Breakfast is generous, and there's tea and coffee on-hand all day. It's family run so you get the personal experience you never get in chain hotels. Help and a chat on-hand any time. I booked a single room but got upgraded to a decent size double which I was very happy about! Room had a large fridge, which is always welcome and there's a fridge in the lobby where you can buy soft drinks and beers. Room-cleaning offered every day. The view from the rooftop is pretty special and there's a large hang out room inside on the top floor too. Sultanahamet is not my favourite area of Istanbul but if you want a friendly budget option close to the tram, and within walking distance of many of the major tourist sites this is probably unbeatable.

The position is super great. Went many times to Bazaar and many more times to Sophia ( open 10-10 and after 19.30 there is no line to enter and less people inside) and other interesting places. Takes 10 min to come back from the Blue mosque, change and go again to check the other bazar near by or go whenever you want. Excellent location. Manager was superb: knowledgeable about everything, culture and politics, can advise where to go and what to do. 10 stars to him.

Needs renovations. Terrace is great but incomplete: sofas and tables and nothing else. Could be really a gem since it’s overlooking the sea. But not yet.

Central but quiet location, breakfast included, lovely terrace, there's a small kitchen & washing machine which can be used free of charge, nice staff (we were able to check in early and even got a room upgrade, thanks a lot again!)

There's nothing I really disliked except the western pop music at the breakfast room. As visible on the pictures it's an old hotel, so visually not very attractive but I didn't really mind.

The owner and his staff were the most accommodating I've ever experienced. Oktay did everything to make sure we had everything we needed. I was traveling with my 88 year old mother, and Oktay really looked after her, helping her up and down stairs, helping her with her breakfast, ensuring she was comfortable. It was much better than I imagined.

Our room was a bit small, but the owner offered us to upgrade. We chose not to, but probably should have gone ahead and done so in hind-sight.

Breakfast was healthy , management Mr Oktay and Mr Durant and other staff are very humble caring and helpful, for low budget this is a good proper hotel , location is not bad and one can reach the attractions and tramway after a little walk. You can get the Taxi around the corner.

It is the perfect budget stay for Istanbul, right in the heart of Sultanahmet. The location is just perfect, as walking is the only way to get to everywhere here, and is also near to the tram to go to other neighborhoods. Room was cozy and clean, as expected for the price, all you need considering you spend the day outside. Room service provides an added care that is appreciated. Facilities are a plus! Has a great rooftop terrace with an amazing view, and also utilities like laundry, and even a guitar. In the reception there is free tea 24/7! The owner, Oktay, is super friendly and helpful, ready to assist in whatever way you may need.

Can't think of anything that I didn't like.

The hotel is very good located in the old city. Everything at walking distance like mosques, bazar and shopping. Also tram is in the next street. The hotel is one of the oldest hotels in oldcity Istanbul, not luxury but all simple. But everything is working, everything what you need you have or you get. Very clean room, sheets, towels. Good Turkish breakfast, tasteful! Oktay the owner is the best, he will take care of all guest. Also good tips from Oktay for restaurants and hamam. Very very friendly. Cosy hotel, old but nice. We loved it.

Our bed was too short. And bathroom is very tiny and old but everything is working. Vould get a refresher.

If you are looking for a sterile hotel where everything is according to the guidelines, but nobody is interested in you, keep looking. If you're looking for a cosy hotel with a hardworking and very helpful owner, with clean rooms, great breakfasts, a terrace with a beautiful view of the Marmara Sea and a location so perfect that you can walk to all the major sights in minutes, you've found it. For those interested in details: - rich breakfast buffet - salami, cheese, turkish bread, toast bread, muffins, home-made cake, different kind of cereals, hard-boiled eggs, sunny side up eggs, olives, vegetables, salats, home made chips, sometimes rice and more. Ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, olive oil, vinegar, microwaves, toasters - everything you need for good start of the day - great terrace where you can enjoy classic tea, apple tea, coffee or cappuccino, play the table games (all provided for free) or just soak the atmosphere of an ancient city - because of the location in the city center, do not expect great views from the rooms because there are buildings everywhere. But the terrace view is great - we really enjoyed the location which allowed us to walk to the Grand Bazaar, Hippodrome, Cistern, Hagya Sofia, Spice Bazaar and others in 5-15 minutes. Plus there is a tram stop Çemberlitaş nearby - so many restaurants nearby... Our favourite was Ortaklar restaurant (2 minutes walk from the hotel) which offered reasonable prices, great food and big portions. Do not hesitate to go up to the 2nd or 3rd floor for great views of the square - if you need anything, just ask Oktay. He is very friendly and helpful. His care is what is making this place exceptional - I would appreciate to find a feta-like cheese in the otherwise rich open buffet table

We recently spent two weeks at the Paris Hotel Istanbul with my family, and it was a fantastic experience! The location is perfect, with trams, restaurants, shops, and supermarkets all within walking distance, making it easy to explore the area. It was exceptional and I couldn't realize anything bad.

The owner really knows how to accommodate guests best. We were 6 people and due to some booking mistake we booked a smaller room for 2 days and then for another 2 days the bigger suite. But since there were empty rooms in the hotel, Oktay gave us both rooms for the whole stay, which made our stay very comfortable. The breakfast was really good, and the coffee was amazing. The terrace on the roof was also something very special, you can spend time there without any time restrictions, have a coffee, eat and play some games. Regarding noise, I have no complaints. Maybe if you open the windows during the night... But we didn't since it was quite hot outside and we just used AC. Overall it was an amazing experience, thank you very much! And special thank you for shifting the breakfast to the earlier time on the day of our departure 🙏
