My second time staying here. Close to tramway transport, Grand Bazaar and many shops and restaurants. Varied breakfast. Comfortable room. Lovely and helpful staff.

You’ll have to deal with walking up and down a hill to go anywhere. Wasn’t such a problem for me, but might be for others.

I like the close proximity of this hotel to all the tourist attraction and the public transportation options around. Many restaurants to chose from too. Safe and friendly neighborhoods.

Didn't like the room (is at the 1st floor) given because it was very near to the road and i can hear ppl walking and talking very loudly. Anyhow, it was fully booked and the staff was very nice enough to let us know we can exchange the room with additional top up. We chose not to.

This hotel left the warmest impressions! The location is excellent—major attractions are within walking distance, and after long walks, it’s especially nice to return to a cozy room with a comfortable bed and truly relax. From the very first moments, you feel cared for—the receptionist is attentive, welcoming, and always ready to help, creating a great first impression. A special thanks to the kitchen staff, Engin and Buse—their hard work, kindness, and genuine attention to guests make the stay even more pleasant. I would also like to acknowledge the housekeeper Maria for her impeccable work and dedication to cleanliness and comfort. This hotel is a great choice for those who appreciate comfort, a warm atmosphere, and heartfelt hospitality. I will gladly return and highly recommend it!

I would love to have a few meatballs for breakfast from time to time.

Our family had a very pleasant stay at the Recital. Our room on the 5th floor was spacious and quiet, the window was equipped with blinds and our son appreciated having his own comfortable bed. We were happy to have a bottle of water at no cost offered in the room and a small fridge. The restaurant team of Buse and Engin has made our breakfast moments into a memorable hospitality experience. Thank you very much for taking care of us. The location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic, because the most important sightseeing spots are located in a very close by to the hotel, tram line T1 is about 250 m away and there is a small nice grocery shop around the corner.

A couple of times during evening hours we heard rather nosy emergency power supply, but everything has been fixed within 2-3 hours, so it was not really a problem.

We were pleased with our choice of hotel. The location was excellent, as it was only 5 minutes walk from the Hippodrome and their are plenty of restaurants nearby. We had a top floor room with two small balconies, which offered a view of the street and the sea, as we requested. The room was spacious albeit you were partly in the roof eaves and you have to watch you don't bump you head if you are tall. The staff were excellent, particularly Maryam on reception and the restaurant team of Buse and Engin, all of whom looked after us very well. Breakfast was reasonable but could have a little more variety added as by day five it was a little samey. For what we paid, and given how expensive Istanbul is, we had a great stay.

Not much as the hotel was as were had expected. The shower head needed a refurb to allow the water to flow better but this was not really an issue. The beds may be firm for some but suited us.

Such a friendly helpful welcome with maps advice and coffee other hotels could learn from this.. Bags carried to room etc.. Staff were all helpful and professional including the night porter who had to deal with the taxi and noise problems we had see other comments. Thank you to him.. Good breakfast and a free umbrella. Very large bed a highlight of the stay.

Booked private transfer taxi was late despite assurances. Had to move room due to noisy neighbours. Dealt with well by hotel so not their fault as such. But complicating factor was that there was no working bar in hotel. So staff were serving drinks to room so inevitably there would be a problem in some way with some people. Yes and we had a toilet that didn't flush properly. Despite all this the stay was fine but we were determined to have a nice time.

Recital Hotel is very close to the major tourist attractions such as the Aya Sofya mosque, the blue Mosque, the Basilica cisterns and the Grand Bizaar. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the awesome breakfast every morning. Great variety. One of the best boutique hotel continental breakfasts I have had. The staff were exceptional and very helpful and super friendly. On our last day we had to leave early before breakfast was served and so Joseph prepared us a take away breakfast which was such a lovely touch. I would highly recommend this hotel to travellers to Istanbul.

The location of the hotel is excellent - in the very center, but at the same time a little away from the main city noise. This is not to say that you are in complete isolation, though: Istanbul wakes up early, the streets in the immediate vicinity of the hotel are filled with cars and motorcyclists, and the horns of impatient drivers cheerfully enliven the background. Many commentators have spoken about the excellent location, but I want to note that this is not its only advantage. The Recital Hotel gives the impression of a small, warm, cozy family business, where all the staff are interested in the convenience of the guests, carefully, kindly and unobtrusively providing comfort and coziness to their guests. I thank the entire hotel team, who were very attentive and offered their help in any situation. I will definitely choose this hotel on my next trip to Istanbul.

We absolutely loved this hotel, it felt like home from home. All the staff were super friendly from the moment we checked in (very late) to the end leaving which we were reluctant to do. Yesim introduced herself at our first breakfast and gave us a map and loads of advice of places to go. We had also prebooked supper enjoying an amazing view on the rooftop which unbeknown to us had just been refurbished and everyone truly pulled out the stops to make sure it was an evening to remember, with beautifully prepared meal. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts also deserve a mention; everything there you could wish for including Turkish coffee. Finally, the location was superb, just ten minutes to the main square, with a couple of authentic restaurants nearby if you didn't want to go far. We would happily come back and will be recommending it to all our friends.

We stayed there as a family (with two kids). The hotel was in a great location, 5 minute walk from Haggia Sofia and Blue mosque, Kapala bazaar, tram. The staff was very friendly and super helpful, also very efficient. They arranged taxy to pick us up from the airport. Very prompt communication via email and WhatsApp, I felt very at ease. Breakfast was wonderful, large selection of different food for every taste.

If I was really a clean freak than it could be dusted a little bit more under the beds and furniture, but other then that very happy with everything. We had clean towels every day, when asked they also changed our sheets again, so all in all very happy.
