Very friendly staff, helpful and knowledgeable. Outstanding breakfast Central Old Town location in a bustling lively area, some may complain of noise until the small hours but hey, it's Istanbul, get some ear plugs.

Two very minor detractions: The Evening Bisphorus Cruise the hotel manager recommended wasn't very good considering the price. Organise your own from Booking.com if that's your thing. Bosphorus is best done in daylight, IMHO. Having to put toilet paper in a bin instead of flushing it because of the archaic sewerage system.

Hotel is rated as 3 stars hotel but it gives you more than you will expect. Breakfast is plentiful and tasty. The staff are very helpful and friendly! The rooms are very comfortable and bathrooms are modernly designed. Hotel location is amazing, near to all attractions. I would recommended this hotel to everyone!

Everything was great!

The hotel is in perfect location with Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar and Tram station within 10 min walking distance. There are restaurants and souvenir shops around it and a small baklava shop behind it, which has delicious baklavas! The breakfast was great, great coffee, scrambled /boiled eggs, lots of fruits & cheese, with friendly staffs. The front desk staffs were very helpful & friendly too. I love standing in the small balcony watching the crowds. I feel safe staying in the hotel, which is the most important point. Plan to visit Turkey again next year and will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Tiny very clean room. (Thanks to Vildan) You can ask for cleaning every day if you wish. The glass bathroom wall is a little bit strange :D The staff is very nice, helpful, looks for all your wishes. Also the group at the breakfast very nice. Thanks for the helping hands. 2 elevators are available, very comfy.

The bed is a little bit soft for my taste but huge, so this is not a complaint. Little red ants appeared on the left food, interesting on the 2nd floor. :D But I don't think it is a hotel fault. Ants are everywhere. The Wifi is weak. :( and this is a complaint.

This was a funny little hotel. Ir was winter time so the terrace was of no use to me but I had requested it. The lobby was nice and warm. The place was kept clean and if I needed extra towels at an unscheduled hour, no problem. Ms. Vildan and her crew were available for assistance and really went out of their way to keep things clean. The lobby staff was always available for advice (and directions) and there is a little coffee shop attached to the hotel. Breakfast is served daily in a private area in the hotel and there are many things to choose from. For some reason I felt dehydrated a lot of the time but with a selection of fruit juices and sparkling water, that was easily resolved. Fruits, cheeses, crackers, cereals, yogurt, eggs, meats, grape leaves, etc.etc. etc. made up the breakfast buffet along with coffee and tea. There was water infused with cucumber and other vegetables and fruit that was a nice change of pace. The location of the hotel makes sure that you will never have a hungry moment - Turkish food, pastries, street food, etc. abound. Grand Bazaar a very short walk away. Pedestrian traffic goes well into the early hours.

This was not something that bothered me once I wrapped my head around it, but I believe that this was the smallest room I've ever stayed in. There is not an inch to spare Fortunately there is a little Juliette balcony as well as a "shelf" that runs down one wall where you can put your keys, earrings, remotes, chargers, etc. One thing that I DID NOT like, and this has become all too common, there is no bedside light. If you want to read in bed, you have the option of a glaring overhead light or a suggestion of an ambient light that is useless for reading. I guess that I will start packing a headlamp when I travel so that I can read.

The room was excellent - clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff were so abliging and kind. Once I orientated myself, I realised the location was really good.

Reception staff were quite cold and aloof at times depending who was on duty. I had an issue with the hair dryer (switched off in less than a minute due to overheating). I asked for another and was told to wait until it cooled. I'm sorry but when you are paying for a room, a working hair dryer is a given. I did get another but with some "discussion". I was also concerned about the taxi I was ordered. It ended costing double what the boss had told me. I was very suspicious of driver who drove at 151km/hour for a large part of the journey to the airport. I would advise using taxis that are circulating rather than have the reception organise it.

The location is perfect for exploring all of the sites of the old town. The Çemberlitas tram stop is a two minute walk from the hotel. There are two grocery stores nearby. The room was quite comfortable. If you are bothered by street noise, bring earplugs. The hotel sits on the corner of a very busy intersection - lots of honking. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices.

There are no outlets next to the beds and no bedside reading lights. The bathroom setup is a bit odd. The barhroom walls are made of see-through glass. Even though there is a blind that closes, the entire room lights up if someone has to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Peyk Hotel is in a great location, so close to Sultanahmet and many of the main cultural attractions in Istanbul, it is also a few minutes walk from Çemberlıtaş tram station which gives easier and wider access to the city. The room was cosy and comfortable with all amenities I could need such as a kettle, safe and refrigerator, the bathroom was well laid out and clean (I loved the shower, nice and hot and powerful enough). The staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating, always welcoming when returning to the hotel. The buffet breakfast has so many options and flavours to try every morning, I would say it caters to every taste and requirements, the dinning room staff were also courteous and helpful. The Peyk Hotel is an all-round great place to be and to start your Istanbul adventure from, I would certainly stay there again were I to have a return visit to the city.

There were only a couple of minor points that could be mentioned about the hotel room itself, one being that there were only three clothes hangers in the wardrobe (I'm sure they would've given us more had we asked though) and there didn't seem to be any side lighting for reading in bed, it was either main lighting or nothing, but not really an issue at all. A couple of times we came back to the hotel in the late evening after exploring the city, the maids had been in to clean the room some hours before and opened the door to the balcony to let fresh air in, however, our visit was in November so the room was really cold when we got back (this only happened a few times though).

I had a very good stay at Peyk Hotel. Conveniently located in the heart of Istanbul, in Sultahahmet, Peyk has almost everything the visitor might need. The public transport is only steps away, lots of sites and landmarks in a walking proximity, many places to eat and shop nearby, also a big supermarket is in just a minute walk from the hotel. Rooms are clean and well appointed. My room also had a very nice little balcony. There is a mini-fridge, safe, tea/coffee making facilities. Comfortable bed, good AC, good shower. WiFi signal is strong The breakfast is not mind-blowing but decent indeed. Staff is friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend Peyk Hotel whether you come for a short or longer stay to Istanbul.
