I like that the hotel went to a rejuvenation process and upgraded everything internally to a modern design with the times especially the rooms and the other facilities like the gym the sauna and swimming pool (but sadly was not able to use it as it was still under renovation) and the breakfast area the Borneo river café was also beautifully renovated

what I didn't like was the fact that my room in particular had an issue with the door. The automatic key access did not seem to be able to detect my card thus having need to call maintenance almost 3 to 4 times during my one night stay. Another issue is the concerning action of one of the trainee staff who helped to process my check-in that day he apparently knows me and used my personal information from my booking and WhatsApp me personally at four in the morning invading my privacy and asked a very personal question that made me uncomfortable and make my partner uncomfortable.

Room was clean and spacious, good soundproofing. Bed was firm and comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety of local and international food and tasted good. Location of the hotel is convenient at the waterfront, with a coffee place and a convenience store just opposite.

Hiccups at initial check in (despite contacting the property through Booking.com to request that the sofa bed would be set up since we arrive at 10+pm, this was not done), including being shown an initial room with an overpowering cigarette smoke smell. Thankfully, staff speedily directed us to an alternative room. Also, kid's pool and kid's club is still not ready, despite being under construction for at least 6 months. At least swimming pool is ready for use. Staff manning the club room also looked very unwelcoming so we did not enter.

The bathroom was a compact. The light bulb over coffee station was not working so was dim entering bathroom

More detailed maintenance I guess

The room exceeded my expectations with its spaciousness, comfortably accommodating four guests. The sofa bed was sturdy and cozy, even for larger individuals. Location-wise, it’s perfect—right in the city and within walking distance to the riverfront, making it easy to explore. Breakfast was consistently excellent, never disappointing. I also appreciated the newly refurbished car park area, which adds a nice touch to the overall experience.

I had trouble accessing my YouTube account on the TV; it kept showing a “no connection” error. Improving this feature would enhance the entertainment options for guests.

Beautiful hotel! Location is perfect, close to the waterfront, restaurants and shops. Swimmingpool was fantastic, even een kids pool and kidsclub! Bar at the pool for drinks and food. Room clean, 2 twin beds will fit 2 adults and 2 children. Breakfast was amazing! We've never seen a breakfast like this, so many choices. Staff very helpfull and friendly.

Actually nothing. A rooftop would be nice or that they served some drinks at the little terrace outside with view on the river in the evening.

Location is great. Room was very comfortable and we had a superb view overlooking the river and parliament building. Breakfast was very good - loads of choice. Restaurants are very good…we ate in Lobby Level cafe which had superb local and western choice menu and the Chinese restaurant which was also very good. Staff were helpful, friendly and altogether lovely.

Our overall stay was excellent and we liked the whole stay.

The service, the nice and clean room with complete amnesties. Service was also great.

The hotel was under renovation: of the 4 lifts, 2 were not working and that cause a bit of wait when there is a bit of traffic. The swimming pool was under renovation and therefore not accessible. They said I need to talk about 500m to Pullman hotel in order to get to a pool! Also, the access system were down and I could only get access card to my room on my second day of stay. It was a hassle to get someone to bring me up to my room every time I went out, even for a short time like just to get a drink.

The river view is worth the price if you're going to stay in the room. Booked the cheapest room with river view and another king suite room with city view, although there's living room space, bathtub and well thought design, the view plays such an important aspect. But room was clean with Crabtree and Evelyn touch is nice. Pool wasn't crowded and it's a nice that there's 2m deep part to swim around. The hotel scent was distinct that of Hilton. Guest toilet on ground floor was impressive. Bed was good, with reading lights control for both side of the beds. Not overly soft that one will sink it, nice balance. Staff exudes professionalism. Parking was conveniently connected to the hotel. They did a great job in sprucing up the hotel. As of January 11th stay, no construction going on and it was perfect. Though the lift has odors of recent construction.

That I didn't take the river view. The city view overlooking tune hotel and the others are just bland concrete jungle. The lift has faint construction scent but it'll go away eventually. The ground floor tiles reminisce of older times luxury, those dark coloured granite but that's just me. Glass water is not it, not enough and insufficient for drinking.

The location, view, the newly-renovated room, and breakfast options were great.

For a Hilton property, I was a bit disappointed with the cleanliness to begin with. We checked in our hotel room and discovered that one of the mugs was dirty and that the shower gel was not refilled. Housekeeping staff lacked simple greetings such as “hello” and “goodbye”, they would simply hang up the phone after a call. We ordered continental breakfast and milk (to be eaten with cereal) was missing along with the spoon. The pillows were pretty flat and not as fluffy too as per Hilton’s standard. We woke up to a fire alarm ringing at 3am on our last night without any explanation or apology from the staff on the next day.
