We've stayed here a number of times over the years and always enjoyed it. The variety of breakfast options was good although the fresh fruit ran out pretty quickly. The beds were comfortable with plenty of plush pillows & just the right weight of bedding, not too warm or too cool. The fireplace with chairs in the lobby is very inviting with coffee & tea offered makes a nice check-in experience.

Although it's advertised as "non-smoking" our room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. In past stays the staff have always been friendly & helpful. This time they were more aloof and disinterested.

This hotel is the best! We love everything about it. We visit the area several times a year and we have stayed at air bnb's and we prefer this hotel over any air bnb! The staff are the nicest and most helpful. The rooms are clean and super comfortable. The breakfast spot is fantastic! You can make a waffle, sip on coffee and the staff there are so sweet! We always get two rooms and ask for them to be next to each other and this hotel always accommodates. Love this hotel!!!

The improvement will be probably in the breakfast area when there is a lot of people. It's really not very roomy to get the food. Basically your dodging and squeezing. It's just too small but other than that it was great

The only thing that I do not like is even though there is rooms ready to check in, the staff want to charge me $25 extra to be able to check in an hour early. I don't think that is very fair. I understand when it's in busy season but when it's off-season I believe that if we are there an hour early, we should be able to get a room early and not be charged, especially when we are senior citizens. The staff even said , there was room already ready.

I had an excellent stay at the Best Western in Arroyo Grande. The hotel exudes a beautiful mission-style charm, highlighted by a stunning chandelier made of old Spanish cast iron in the lobby and a cozy fireplace with comfortable seating. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and helpful. My room was clean and featured a super comfy king-size bed, with great water pressure and a quiet atmosphere. The generous continental breakfast was a delight, offering waffles, bacon, eggs, coffee, juice, and plenty of fresh fruit. I thoroughly enjoyed the amenities, including the heated pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. Parking was conveniently located just steps from our room, with plenty of spaces available. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return!

The location is a great location if you are staying some place knowing you won’t have an ocean view. There’s a Starbucks almost right there and other shopping centers really close by. The freeway is very close and that puts you into Pismo Beach and very close to Avila Beach. My family and friends used the hot tub both nights and someone ate a waffle one morning. The parking was plenty. I also filled up my water bottle on the premises and we had more towels brought to us and they were there within minutes even on a Saturday night, both things made me happy. The pillows were my daughter’s favorite pillows ever. The beds were comphy enough (and we’re picky) the air conditioner worked great, the room was dark, we felt safe, there was no loud noise near us. There were a decent amount of people but no issues. We will stay here again when we don’t stay ocean front.

The hotel rooms are dated. I don’t really care about that as long as they are clean and comfortable which they were. The shower was very low water pressure and there’s an outdated type fan in there that wasn’t amazing. If you love an amazing pressure filled shower, this was not it. For the price of the hotel, things aren’t going to be perfect. I will stay here again when we aren’t staying at one of the ocean front hotels.

Comfortable bed, quiet room, AC/heater/fan worked very well, nice and accomodating staff, good free breakfast, coffee maker in the room, a central location (freeway close, beach minutes away, shopping nearby) and in a safe area, a fair price and good value, well-kept grounds, an elevator, and free cookies!

Rooms could use some remodeling/updating but the bathroom was nicely updated. Not a big deal but the restaurant on the property was closed.

Beautiful lobby, great pool and comfortable rooms. The artwork in the lobby was so cool to look at. Lots of Cowboy themed pieces, beautiful oil paintings and old west furniture. Rooms were great size and accomodated my family of four just right.

Breakfast was standard boxed eggs and weird bacon but there was waffles, fruit, yogurt and coffee as well. The beds were doubles when we expected Queens so that was a bit of a problem.

This was hands-down the best motel we ever stayed at. We needed a place to break up our drive from LA to Sonoma County and Pismo Beach looked like a good halfway point. This place was just amazing. First, it is gorgeous, with all sorts of Mexican decorations in the lobby and the beautiful Mexican architectural style, not the boring Motel 6 type of architecture. Second, they have a heated pool and a hot tub, almost unheard of at motels in this price range. (Dumb us didn't bring bathing suits.) Third the breakfast was mind-boggling--great eggs, bacon, make-it-yourself waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit. Finally, the room was luxurious and the bed so comfy that we slept like logs. The cost of all this was almost unbelievable -- $120 incl. tax.

All 25 TV channels had commercials. We've been spoiled by Netflix etc, so this was eye-opening for us, and not in a pleasant way. We didn't realize how much commercials have expanded in length relative to the programming.

Great location just off the freeway. Big comfortable room with a view over the pool. Parking right outside the room was really convenient.

Unfriendly staff at check in. Room was in a separate block, the guy just pushed across a map with it marked but the layout in the dark was not easy to get around (and there were not enough signs directing you to the room numbers). He couldn't have been more uninterested, not what you need after a long and tiring drive. Breakfast buffet was just about ok (paper cups and plates 😕) though the two rooms were barely enough to cope with a very full hotel.

Breakfast like at many Best Westerns - scrambled eggs, various bread products, make your own waffles, yogurt, fruit - but the breakfast room is very small, so difficult to find seating during peak eating time. Pool area looked nice, but too chilly to use when we were there.

Looks like there had been a restaurant (that is no longer open) just next door- which would have been convenient for dinner. However, found other "fast food"possibilities not far away.
