The suite was very clean and everything worked appropriately. The view was exceptional and having a balcony, however narrow in depth, was very appreciated. Staff was friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub were clean and refreshing. I really liked how close the hotel was to many different dinning and entertainment options.

I can't say that there was anything that I didn't like. Everything went really well for my stay and the next time I'm in the area for an extended period of time this hotel is definitely high up on my list of places to rest.

The staff was great all around. Friendly, polite, helpful and well-informed. The biggest surprise was how good the food in the restaurant is. Not that we expected it to be bad, but we wound up eating most of our meals there because we really liked the food and the service.

The decor in the suite is a little outdated now, but that seems a silly thing to complain about since everything else was great. The King Suite we had was very comfortable, and we were happy in it.

Good business class hotel, a little aged but well maintained, very friendly reception staff, great views from the top floor (if you are lucky), good public transport links to Newport and Santa Ana

Small things - there was no soap, vanity kit or kettle provided but all was brought upon the request from the reception team. There was a wrong charge added to my bill upon check out but was promptly removed upon my request

The room was clean and spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. We also liked having the various streaming services available (Netflix & Prime). The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon checking in, he gave us a nice room on the top floor & a discount on the parking since we were there to celebrate our 29th anniversary. Overall, it was a pleasant stay in Newport!

Parking is expensive if you have to pay full price ($42/night). My "Bayview" was overlooking the parking lot, so you may need to pay extra or request a room with an actual view. (It's also more like a small lake.)

Very nice location, next to extensive hiking trail around the bay. Very spacious room that was a good value for the location. Good restaurant with attentive staff. Nice outdoor space with fire pits and nice view. Parking cost extra but was convenient.

Slightly dated decor, but still very nice and clean. Bathroom was spacious with both shower and bathtub, but the shower had only a standard showerhead (a handheld shower, etc., would be nice).

The hotel is very big...room is clean..but when the cleaning service came to clean the room..not too clean....didnt fill up the sugar n tea...n the bed was not too clean...it waa ok

The customer service didnt give complete informatioan...i order for 4 people n when we went to eat breakfast....only got 2 people free n have to pay another 2 for $30 each for breakfast...no information in front yet.. No information...suddenly i paid more than i expected When i asked..but the answer not really nice.. My advice....your hotel is big hotel...so be prepositional...you need to give the complete information to customer... No valet parking...

I am a neighbor to the hotel that needed a place while my house was tented. I payed what I expected for 2 nights but was given a room on the second floor looking at a roof. Really? It was midweek and the hotel was not very busy. I think our experience could have resulted in a return visit if we could have at least SEEN the back bay.

Liked that it was near bike path, fairly close to attractions. Room was clean bed comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful

Hotel needs some updating. Not enough food places nearby and it seems things close pretty early The coffee at the hotel restaurant was not good and it was $6!! Parking overpriced given the location

The property is clean, cozy, has a beautiful pool area with fire pits, and an extremely kind staff that are very accommodating. Please be sure to tip staff well as they work so hard! The rooms are all beautiful and big with very cozy beds. The bathroom is so nice with a shower and separate bath. It is very kid friendly to the point of making movie nights for them in the pool. The view of the bay is beautiful. It’s only about a 30 min drive to the beach.

The food is very bland. The burgers patties tasted like water without seasoning. I don’t know if it’s meant to be that way because the clientele doesn’t like too much seasoning, which is possible. I’m just used to more flavor. The front of the hotel is ugly because it looks dirty like it needs a power wash, but the moment you walk in it’s gorgeous and so is the back pool area. The view is beautiful, however it looks more of a lake than a beach since it’s about a 30 min drive to the closest beach pier. It is very kid friendly which can be a pro or con depending on what you’re looking for.

Loved the room.  Food was delicious and staff were great. The bed mattress?  Wonderful.
