Very nice people run the hotel. The decor is pretty much updated with like a surf theme. Rooms were a good size. They have a free breakfast every morning, which doesn't have a hot bar like scrambled eggs or bacon, but it does have sufficient amount of items to choose from to have yourself a good breakfast. They have a coffee machine with various coffee choices that you can help yourself all day downstairs in the lobby. The location is in a good spot close to Irvine, Newport Beach and Laguna.

Holiday weekend so a few guests were a little loud but management handled it promptly.

The facilities were pristine. The bedding was comfortable and there was plenty of space for luggage and clothing. The price was excellent and the free breakfast bar included many options. This seems to be a place where people stay because it's affordable, but go other places rather than spend time at the hotel. My family stayed in town for a retirement party. We went to the pool 3 times and had the pool and jacuzzi all to ourselves.

The location is ok, but not great. The reimagined motel is off of a busy street. We walked to dinner and felt perfectly safe, but the neighborhood lacked joy. We went to 17th & PCH for a wonderful dinner. Eat Chow was a 1.5 mile walk there and $3.50 Lyft back.

The property is very clean and regularly maintained. The rooms are updated and the sheets are new. The staff and owner are very accommodating and friendly and they care about the property and the quality of stay for the guests. It’s a nice place to hang out and rest and it’s a great location too just centrally located between the beach and south coast plaza and the 405 freeway.

No complaints. Cheaper hotels were absolutely foul. And other hotels in comparable quality and condition were more expensive. This is a great deal in a great location in a nice property.

I have been coming here since my friend brought me here 10 years ago. He said it was the best motel in the area and he wasn’t lieing. I have tried other motels in the area and they are seriously filthy and out dated and this is one of the best mid range hotels you’ll find here. Just try Travelodge over by Newport square and I promise you the 50s druggie hotel crime scene motif will have you out the door demanding a refund. The rooms here at OC hotel are clean updated and modern with daily room service. I do like to tip housekeeping since they come daily and clean everything which is great because in my experience some other hotels are only doing room service a couple times a week. The property is maintained and safe especially the parking lot which is well lit and they have security cameras all over which makes me feels better since I experienced theft over at la quinta inn and they had no security cameras there. It is a Great location that is central to everything. The fair grounds and other restaurants and convenient stores Are in close walking distance. The beach is a couple miles away, and so are John wayne airport, south cost plaza/ave of the arts, and the major freeways accessing the rest of Orange County.

I have no complaints.

It's a basic motel, but has been upgraded and redecorated so nicely, it feels luxurious. I forgot to ask, but wanted to ask where I could buy a pillow just like your bed pillows. It was perfect! I have struggled for years, trying to find a pillow that supports my head and neck at the right level, yet is malleable so that I can reshape it as I change positions. (May I have that information?) The towels were amazing, too -- and our housekeeping person did a beautiful job with folding and displaying the towels in an extra special way.

We would have liked eggs and bacon as breakfast options. The water dispenser next to the coffee machine should have a sign to identify for guests what it IS.

The property was clean, model and felt recently updated. Showers and rooms were updated and modern feeling. Beds could have been a little more comfy, but not a deal breaker. The continental breakfast was deceivingly tasty and filling. Coffee machine was amazing, with several automated options.

Tattoo and tacos with the smell of weed next door. But it was more of an eye sore than anything else. Didn’t impact our stay at all.

This hotel gives you A LOT of bang for your buck! The price is reasonable and the accommodations are clean, roomy, and classy. They put a huge amount of effort into the landscaping and upkeep both interior and exterior. I LOVED the cool trees along the backside of the building where my room was. They were unusual palm trees I'd never seen before. Maybe they're common in SoCal but not in NorCal. I loved those trees and the impecably clean grass turf they were in, and how they were so perfectly spaced apart. You can see how much work the owners/management puts into this place daily, and how it is clearly a labor of love for them. The signage logo "OC" is really cool too! I loved this place and even though I am a diehard Marriott regular, I loved this place just as much, and will definitely stay there again whenever I go to visit my son at UCI. Also the all day espresso machine in the lobby is an excellent touch and much appreciated!

Continental breakfast and beverage station is great! Pool area is nicely decorated and clean. The AC in the room smelled, but some airing out the room helped, but not enough so I eventually turned it off as I didn't have time to change rooms. Did have a wall plug not work, but since there are multiple in the room I found another one on a wall to at least get things charged.

Would be great if they put horizontal safes in the rooms. Make sure none of the air conditioners are smelling up the air when they run. Make sure all plugs in the walls work too.

The front desk lady allowed me to check in a few hours early which was very nice for her to do. I was tired from my trip and it allowed me to get additional rest. Hotel room was very clean and quiet and also the room was quite large. The lobby offered coffee, hot chocolate, juices, etc. which was nice to have.

No breakfast available. It was also a bit far from restaurants and shops so you would need a car or Uber to get there.

There is so many things that made our stay great. The first person we saw when checking in was Nimi. She was such a breath of fresh air! We were there for a soccer tournament and unexpectedly had to change hotels due to a horrible experience. We booked that morning and checked in after a day out at games. All the staff we encountered were kind and courteous. It was nice and thoughtful that they even had ice bags available for our little players each day since the ice machine was broken. The pool was very tidy and clean at all times. This is a very nice place and we will absolutely be staying here again next time we visit.
