While my stay at the Atrium Hotel in Orange County was pleasant overall, there are a couple of areas for improvement. The cost of parking felt excessive, $28 and I believe offering free parking or at least lowering the fee would be more reasonable. Additionally, the $19 breakfast fell short of expectations, resembling more of a continental breakfast than a premium offering at that price point.

My stay at the Atrium was more convenient and more comfortable than I could have imagined. What stood out the most for me was how your employee, I believe his name was Michael, made me feel so welcome and special when I stopped to have breakfast in your dinning facilities. Michael made me feel like my needs for softer bacon and a perfectly cooked waffle were the most important things in the world to me. He delivered both with exceptional courtesy and with energetic pleasure. He should be promoted to a full time customer service position where he can deal with the patrons at all times. It was perfect.

Property is neat and the room was clean nice and the pool area is very beautiful.

Wasn’t allowed to check in sooner than 3pm which I know is the check-in time but 3pm is so late in the day and a lot of other hotels I’ve stayed at overlook that and get me in a room much sooner. I really wanted to enjoy the beautiful pool with a swim but couldn’t get around too. By the time I got settled in my room and got out to the pool most of the sun was gone and a slight chill had just came in. I only got to lounge near it for about 30 mins. The pool are was what convinced me to book a room here.

I always enjoy my stays at the Atrium Hotel in Orange County. The atmosphere is consistently quiet, calm, and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The front desk staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The property is very clean and well maintained. I stay in a hood amount of hotels around the west lately and it seems the trend is to make everything new and sterile. It's almost like staying in a hospital with a nice bed. The Atrium is quite the opposite. It's modernized and obviously remodeled but they kept elements that give character and comfort. The beds were amazing, the rooms dark and quiet even though right across the street from the airport. Never heard a jet engine the entire weekend. My new choice for stays in Irvine. Oh yeah, the two double bed room is huge.

The breakfast was weird. When I arrived the coffee was empty and no cups. There were no plates, only bowls. The juice was empty so the options were toast in a bowl, a muffin, bowl of cereal, or an orange. I grabbed a muffin and a piece of toast and sat. A lady came out and loudly asked my room number. I told her, I presume so I could be billed, and she started to walk away. I asked if they have anything and she very slowly brought out the juice, yogurts, plates, muffins, coffee, cups, etc. I had a piece of toast, cup of coffee and a muffin for $10.00 I think. Couldn't wait around all morning. It's long worded but really not a big deal. I could have easily walked a block to the IHOP if I wanted. It just didn't seem to fit the rest of the service here.

Proximity to the airport. We’d had a flight get cancelled and needed a place close. Should this happen again, if probably stay here again. Maybe instead of the place I stayed for a few days on this trip.

I’m sure it’s been a no smoking facility for some time now but, the smell of the cigarette smoke still lingers… the carpet in the room looked like it may be due for replacing. It looks worn or may not have been laid down properly in the first place.

The main thing was the staff who are amazing especially Silvia & the manager Nile & not forgetting the the housekeeping staff manager Maria who insures the rooms are cleaned to perfection . The location is a walk away to John Wayne airport. I can not praise this hotel enough. It is not fancy but very welcoming & comfortable. The only negative is the shower is a fixed one not a hand held.

The rooms are great. The decor is fun (check out your eyes in the bathroom mirror with the mirror light on). Everything is in good shape and clean. We had a ground floor on the inner courtyard near the pool and cabanas. We really liked the pool area and cabanas. They are in an enclosed courtyard with lots of plants and trees. Als, you can walk from John Wayne Airport to the hotel.

The continental breakfast was a good price. The coffee was good. Nice bread selection. However, it didn't include any egg dishes (i.e. scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, etc.). I'm lactose-ovo vegetarian, and eggs are a bit of a breakfast staple for me. On another note, I guess you just have to pay for parking in this area. In most hotels I've stayed at, you just park. In the two hotels we've stayed at during this vacation, we're paying up to $45 a day to park on top of the room charge.

Great prices, updated rooms, comfortable beds, fitness center, very clean, awesome pool area, semi-secure parking, key fob entry to building, relatively safe, don’t hear airport noise, quiet area

Wasn’t informed about validating parking to be able to leave without being charged, was told breakfast was at 630am but the employee was over 15 minutes late and they only had cold cereal and bread but wanted to charge $12 per person for “continental breakfast”, no idea what sunset lounge is, trees in parking lot drop flowers and sap, lots of bees on property

I liked the staff and the decoration. The room was complete and had a balcony, which was very nice. The hotel generally had all the amenities I needed, including a hairdryer and iron.

The hotel is a bit old, and some of the details, especially on the stairs, could use some renovation. However, having a shower/ bathtub was just amazing, and I am sure that is an old addition or something.
