The breakfast was one of the worst I've ever experienced. Far too many packed in to feed with such little food out. Everything was completely gone except for a bin of scrambled eggs and a bowl of apples and oranges. We waited 20 min for them to bring out coffee, bread and a pan of tater tots for the crowd to swarm and hoard the food to be able to feed their hungry children. The location was okay, we knew were it was prior to booking. Not much close around it other than airport. Saw no need for the hotel to charge $28/day parking.

Overall nice presentation, clean, nice pool.

It was very pretty, kids especially loved the pool. I enjoyed the cabana use, though it could use more regular cleaning and wipe down. Gym use was great, though having it 24hr/7days would be better--especially since it's separate and its own space that required a keycard. Still clean and well equipped though. Also enjoyed the fact that the parking was private and secure, and that security regularly patrolled the hotel grounds. It was comforting!

The room we had wouldn't go any cooler than 70 degrees F. We had to keep the AC fan on HIGH day and night just to make sure the room stayed cool. The beds were full size instead of queen size. Would have expected them to at least cover the base board so highly suggest queen size beds as the standard, not full. Otherwise, it was a great stay and location.

While my stay at the Atrium Hotel in Orange County was pleasant overall, there are a couple of areas for improvement. The cost of parking felt excessive, $28 and I believe offering free parking or at least lowering the fee would be more reasonable. Additionally, the $19 breakfast fell short of expectations, resembling more of a continental breakfast than a premium offering at that price point.

My stay at the Atrium was more convenient and more comfortable than I could have imagined. What stood out the most for me was how your employee, I believe his name was Michael, made me feel so welcome and special when I stopped to have breakfast in your dinning facilities. Michael made me feel like my needs for softer bacon and a perfectly cooked waffle were the most important things in the world to me. He delivered both with exceptional courtesy and with energetic pleasure. He should be promoted to a full time customer service position where he can deal with the patrons at all times. It was perfect.

The pool is lovely and the lounge chairs are very comfortable. I would recommend getting a pool view room. Overall, it is an affordable hotel compared with others in the area, and you can walk to John Wayne airport with luggage as it's just across the road.

The gym is too hot. Also, the people who clean the rooms are very loud in the hallways. If you're trying to get some rest during the day, they aren't respectful of guests needing quiet time or using it as a base between flights.

Property is neat and the room was clean nice and the pool area is very beautiful.

Wasn’t allowed to check in sooner than 3pm which I know is the check-in time but 3pm is so late in the day and a lot of other hotels I’ve stayed at overlook that and get me in a room much sooner. I really wanted to enjoy the beautiful pool with a swim but couldn’t get around too. By the time I got settled in my room and got out to the pool most of the sun was gone and a slight chill had just came in. I only got to lounge near it for about 30 mins. The pool are was what convinced me to book a room here.

The front desk staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The property is very clean and well maintained. I stay in a hood amount of hotels around the west lately and it seems the trend is to make everything new and sterile. It's almost like staying in a hospital with a nice bed. The Atrium is quite the opposite. It's modernized and obviously remodeled but they kept elements that give character and comfort. The beds were amazing, the rooms dark and quiet even though right across the street from the airport. Never heard a jet engine the entire weekend. My new choice for stays in Irvine. Oh yeah, the two double bed room is huge.

The breakfast was weird. When I arrived the coffee was empty and no cups. There were no plates, only bowls. The juice was empty so the options were toast in a bowl, a muffin, bowl of cereal, or an orange. I grabbed a muffin and a piece of toast and sat. A lady came out and loudly asked my room number. I told her, I presume so I could be billed, and she started to walk away. I asked if they have anything and she very slowly brought out the juice, yogurts, plates, muffins, coffee, cups, etc. I had a piece of toast, cup of coffee and a muffin for $10.00 I think. Couldn't wait around all morning. It's long worded but really not a big deal. I could have easily walked a block to the IHOP if I wanted. It just didn't seem to fit the rest of the service here.

Clean room, comfortable bed. Liked the balcony with a view of the atrium/pool area. Nice breakfast with eggs, sausage, coffee/OJ, toast, etc. Enjoyed the old growth yet well-kept landscaping.

The refrigerator didn't work that well. A light was burned out under the desk. The nearest stairwell was not checked for cleanliness; there was a towel left in there and bits of trash and leaves.

Proximity to the airport. We’d had a flight get cancelled and needed a place close. Should this happen again, if probably stay here again. Maybe instead of the place I stayed for a few days on this trip.

I’m sure it’s been a no smoking facility for some time now but, the smell of the cigarette smoke still lingers… the carpet in the room looked like it may be due for replacing. It looks worn or may not have been laid down properly in the first place.
